WITH MY SYSTEM, I CAN EVEN TAME GODS

Chapter 1026 - 1026: Technology beyond understanding (2)

In the end, the captain said that he would consider it.

Lin Fan was surprised by this answer since it was the first time that he had gotten a negative answer from someone that he had used the Love Gauge Taming on.

Normally, the Love Gauge Taming would be enough to change their thoughts that they would agree to anything that he asked of them. It made them trust him enough that they would agree with most things that he asked for, even if it was a bit disadvantageous to them.

That was the amount of trust the Love Gauge Taming instilled in them.

Unless it was something that completely went against what they believed in, they wouldn’t reject it. And Lin Fan had never asked something like that of anyone that had been tamed with the Love Gauge Taming.

It went against what he believed in after all.

In the end, he just accepted this since he could tell that this was how much they cared about their families.

Instead, Lin Fan turned his attention to the other things that were in this room.

Even though he had some understanding of technology from his past life, it was different in this place.

The things that were in this room were just far too different from the things that he was used to, so it was hard for him to understand what these things were.

Of course, it wasn’t as if he had to figure this out on his own.

“What are the things here?” Lin Fan asked the crew members that were just waiting there patiently.

They were caught off guard to be asked something like this and they looked at where Lin Fan was pointing.

When they saw this, they just couldn’t help revealing even more strange looks.

The expression on their faces were almost as if they were looking at someone that didn’t seem to have the knowledge that even a child would have. They were looking at him almost as if they thought he was…dumb.

Lin Fan didn’t feel happy when he saw them looking at him like this, but he didn’t say anything about it as he waited for their answer.

In the end, it was one of the crew members that explained what these things were.

As for why it was this crew member that did this, it was because he was the one that normally used these things.

It was the navigation system of the ship.

When he was told that this was the navigation system, there was a strange look of doubt that appeared on Lin Fan’s face as he looked at the thing being described.

After all, these things in front of him definitely didn’t look like a navigation system that he was familiar with. Instead, these things almost looked like toys with the different knobs and dials that were there.

But after seeing the demonstration that this crew member gave, he had no choice but to accept that this was indeed a navigation system. He had just traveled the land that the navigation system was showing him, so he knew that this navigation system was accurate.

It was just that it was still hard for Lin Fan to accept this since this definitely wasn’t the kind of technology that he was used to.

In the end, he just had to accept it since that was the difference in technology between his past life and the technologically advanced continent of this life.

Other than this, there were many other things that Lin Fan had questions about.

He didn’t hold back at all as he had the crew members of this UFO explain everything that was here to him. He made sure to ask questions about anything that he didn’t recognize and there were quite a few things that he didn’t recognize.

The one thing that he could do without was the way that they looked at him.

All of them looked at him like he was some kind of uncivilized person.

Maybe it was because some of the items that he asked about were items that were quite normal and weren’t that technologically advanced. These were things that should have been considered daily items for these people, but Lin Fan didn’t seem to recognize a single one of them.

It wasn’t that he had never heard of these things before, it was just that they were in completely different shapes.

The one that really hurt was a toothbrush.

It was different from the shape that he was used to since it was something that was like a water toothbrush. Instead of brushing with bristles, it actually shot water at the user’s teeth to break down plaque and cover it in fluoride.

This was the kind of advanced technology that he had never seen before.

And since he was embarrassed because of a toothbrush, it made it harder for him to ask more questions.

Though there was one last thing that he had to ask.

“What is that for?”

All the crew members revealed awkward looks when they heard this because the thing that he was pointing at was the one thing that made them all embarrassed as well. It was the probe that would have been used if it wasn’t for Lin Fan suddenly cutting in.

Seeing their reactions, Lin Fan could guess what it was used for.

It was used for exactly what he thought it was used for, which was why they couldn’t say anything.

So he just said, “Alright, forget it.”

Though he said this, there was a part of him that did want to ask what kind of information they would have gotten if they had used this thing. After all, it wasn’t as if sticking something like this up there would actually tell them anything…

Once he finished asking them about all of these things, Lin Fan thought about what to do with them now.

“Drop these people off first and wipe their memories.”

The ones that he was referring to were the mortals that they had captured to do their experiments on.

The crew members nodded in agreement before heading off to take care of this by pulling out different items. It seemed that wiping memories and replacing them with fake memories took quite a few different things.

Though in the first place, it wasn’t as if this was something that was simple to do.

For cultivators, they could do it by interfering with one’s soul with their spiritual senses. But for these people from the technologically advanced continent that didn’t cultivate, they had to use these machines.

Machines that had this kind of function certainly wouldn’t be normal.

There was one machine for looking into their memories, one machine for isolating the memories that they wanted to delete, and one machine for actually wiping out the memories. Then after that, there was one machine for finding the gap left by this memory wipe, one machine for creating the fake memory, and one machine for inputting the fake memory.

It really seemed like there were too many things that were being used, but the crew members guaranteed that this was the only way.

“There was a simpler process in the past, but it had flaws. If one was stimulated, there was a chance that they would have a mental breakdown since the brain would try to create those memories again. This was the only way to make sure that there were no side effects.” The captain added after explaining what each of the machines did.

Lin Fan just gave a small nod, but the look on his face made it seem like he still wasn’t convinced.

Once they had finished replacing the memories, they sent those people down and repaired the damage to their building. When they left, it was as if nothing had happened in that place.

“Where do we go now?” The captain asked Lin Fan with a worried look on his face.

All of the crew members wanted Lin Fan to let them go, but they knew that this was impossible. So the only thing that they could do now was follow Lin Fan and listen to his orders.

It didn’t seem like he wanted to harm them, so it seemed like the best way to survive.

Lin Fan just pointed in a direction after looking out the window and said, “Head in that direction at normal speed. I’ll tell you when to stop.”

Looks of doubt appeared on the faces of the crew, but seeing that Lin Fan just sat down without saying anything else, they had no choice but to follow this order.

The captain had the navigator make sure to pay attention to anything in front of them, but there wasn’t anything else that they could do other than that.

Right now, their lives were at the whims of Lin Fan.

As for the person that controlled their lives, Lin Fan just sat there with an expressionless look on his face.

That was because at that moment, he was thinking about how to handle this ship and the technology that it contained.

This technology was technology that surpassed the level of the cultivation continent. It was technology that surpassed the level of his previous world.

If used properly, there were many benefits that could be gained from this technology.

It was just that he couldn’t figure out how to best use this.

Well, his plan was to throw everything to Yue Lan and Ming Xin since they were the best at handling this.

But before that, he had to figure out how to explain these things to them.

They didn’t have the same foundational knowledge as him, they would be going into this completely blind.
