LEGENDARY BROKEN PLAYER - VRMMORPG

Chapter 819 - 819 - Kneel Before Power

Yvaeris Aranwyn, the High Elf Queen, stared at Broken for a brief moment. And in that instant… he felt it. That gaze—calm and cold—carried an undeniable weight of authority. Even in just a fleeting glance, he could feel her presence pressing down on him.

Broken swallowed hard. But just as suddenly as she had looked at him, the Queen turned away, as if he were of no significance to her.

Around him, some of the dragonkin took flight, swiftly descending toward their settlement below, likely to check on the lower level members of their kind, offering aid where it was needed.

Yet, the Elder Wing remained.

He stood his ground, unmoving.

Like… with how composed and confident he seemed, was he truly certain that the Queen would be satisfied simply by confirming that what she sought wasn’t here?

Or… would her wrath consume this place if Ivana was truly nowhere to be found?

The search carried out by the High Elves felt agonizingly long—dragging on for what seemed like an eternity. In reality, it had only been five minutes, yet their presence was everywhere. From the eyes of his flying golem, Broken could see the sheer scale of the chaos they were creating.

No one dared to fight back.

The dragonkin could only scream in frustration, helpless as their homes were ransacked. Children clung to their parents, wailing as their dwellings were torn apart—some structures simply crushed without a second thought.

Then, finally, one of the High Elves, mounted atop a wyvern, descended and knelt before the Queen.

The Queen turned her gaze toward him, silent.

“Your Majesty, we have searched every inch of this place. There is no sign of what we seek.”

The Queen remained still, her expression unreadable. Then, slowly, she turned her eyes toward the dragonkin.

At that moment, the entire group tensed.

They stood there, frozen in place, drowning in uncertainty—unsure of what fate awaited them next.

No words were spoken. No sudden movements disrupted the heavy silence of that moment. The only signs of motion were the wyverns above, flapping their wings as they resumed their circling patterns in the sky.

[The absolute authority of the Ancestral Pride Champion applies 5000 weight to anyone in her presence.]

Another notification appeared before everyone.

And in an instant—like they had been crushed under an unbearable force—Vallrick and SexyBloom collapsed onto their knees.

Broken felt it too. The sheer weight pressing down on him was immense, threatening to drag him down. But since his weight capacity was still within manageable limits, he managed to stay on his feet—barely.

SexyGrill, however, wasn’t as lucky. She soon followed, falling to her knees, struggling against the crushing pressure. Around them, several dragonkin also dropped to the ground, forced into submission. Those who remained standing could hardly move, their bodies trembling under the overwhelming force.

“Just damn…” Broken muttered under his breath.

If this person could impose any rule at will, then… How was anyone supposed to fight her? Just how far did this woman’s power reach?

And then—before he even realized it—she was already standing before him!

Close.

So close that he could see the elegant curve of her neck, the way her skin gleamed under the dim light.

She was tall. Even among High Elves, who were naturally taller than humans, she stood out—imposing, towering over him.

Broken swallowed hard.

Slowly, he tilted his head up, careful not to meet her gaze directly.

Even without looking into her eyes, he could feel it.

Her presence. Her overwhelming strength. Her absolute authority.

Anyone who stood before this woman… forget about fighting her—they couldn’t even lift their weapons.

Like, seriously—how could anyone possibly stand against her when they weren’t even allowed to wield their weapons? How?

And the weight capacity? She could casually apply 5000 weight at will, forcing anyone to their knees as if they were nothing.

With that kind of pressure bearing down on him, even though Broken could still reach for his weapon, he knew the truth—he wouldn’t be able to do anything to her. He would just stand there, utterly powerless.

“Pathetic…”

The Queen finally spoke.

Her voice.

It was beautiful—so beautiful that it was almost mesmerizing. Yet at the same time, it was chillingly cold, utterly devoid of emotion.

Broken stiffened, swallowing hard as the sound of her voice echoed in his ears.

“I like resistance,” the Queen continued.

“Whoever stands before me to obstruct my goal…”

She paused.

And then—right in front of Broken—her lips shifted into the faintest hint of an expression.

“Make sure you provide resistance that is entertaining for me.”

Broken swallowed again.

This woman—this Queen—was clearly telling him that he was insignificant. That right now, he was nothing to her.

And if he truly wanted to stand before Ivana and protect her… then he better make sure he was strong enough to be worth the Queen’s time.

But just how long would it take for him to reach that level?

Even now, Broken didn’t dare to inspect her stats.

That wasn’t something you did in front of a figure this powerful.

The Queen turned away, and in an instant, she was already in the distance again.

Then—just like that—a massive crack split open beneath her feet.

And with a sudden burst of motion, she shot into the sky. A thunderous explosion erupted below, shaking the very ground as she ascended.

Now, she stood atop one of the great dragons.

There was a throne there—a seat meant specifically for her, resting upon the creature’s back.

And like a dream… the catastrophe, the disaster, the looming doom that had gripped the entire area…

It all began to fade.

The dragons turned in unison, soaring toward a single direction before vanishing into the clouds.

The wyverns soon followed, their riders guiding them away without hesitation.

They were leaving?

They were really leaving?

[The absolute authority of the Ancestral Pride Champion has been lifted.]

The moment that notification appeared, the weight crushing everyone—both physically and mentally—was lifted all at once.

Breaths that had been held for what felt like an eternity were finally released.

Air filled their lungs again.

Relief washed over them like a long-awaited salvation.

Broken could see it—the sheer exhaustion and disbelief on the faces of the dragonkin.

Many of them had truly believed that their lives had ended the moment the Queen had arrived.

Vallrick let out a deep breath and said, “That was insanely intense… though I won’t lie, I kinda freaked out seeing the Queen appear right in front of me. Hehe.”

“Still, the Queen didn’t acknowledge you, even though you’re a Pride Champion, huh?” SexyGrill remarked.

“Well, I don’t exactly have a superstar aura on my face, so I can’t really blame her. Hehe.” Vallrick chuckled.

“If only…” he continued. “If only I was allowed to join Vensalor… I’d definitely look way cooler right now.”

SexyBloom gave him a side glance. “You sure have a lot of confidence, thinking you can join a top guild like Vensalor with your level that low.”

“I can recover my level easily…” Vallrick smirked. “I’ll prove my worth—way more than this!”

Some time later, the dragonkin finally began to move again.

The warriors quickly spread out, checking the area and assessing the damage they had sustained. No one knew the full extent of the destruction yet, but one thing was certain—the barrier had not returned.

Even after the Queen’s departure, there was no sign of it being restored.

Had it been completely destroyed? Or was there still a chance for it to recover?

Soon, the Elder Wing approached Broken and answered the unspoken question weighing on his mind.

The barrier… was gone. Completely.

There was nothing left to protect the dragonkin from unwanted intruders. Anyone could now enter their territory freely, without resistance.

The Queen’s arrival had completely changed their way of life.

But again… if the dragonkin couldn’t restore the barrier, then who had set it up in the first place?

The Elder Wing offered no further explanation, and Broken didn’t press the matter any further.

Now… even the High Elf Queen herself had confirmed that Ivana wasn’t here.

So what was Broken supposed to do next?

“We owe you, King Broken,” the Elder Wing said solemnly. “We will repay this debt however we can… Please, let us know if there is ever a way we can return the favor in the future. But for now, we must focus on rebuilding and recovering…”

Broken pushed aside the lingering questions swirling in his mind.

Because right now, it was time for him to log out.
