LEGENDARY BROKEN PLAYER - VRMMORPG

Chapter 818 - 818 - The Queen's Absolute Rule

Broken stepped slowly out of the castle, his gaze immediately locking onto a figure of overwhelming power—feared across the entire surface of Yunatea—the High Elf Queen. A living legend, her name had echoed through the long history of this world, even before the arrival of the players.

She was the only Ancestral Wielder of the Sin Blessing still known to this day, a being said to possess the power to flatten the entire land of Yunatea if she so desired.

And now… that very figure stood right before them. Right before Broken.

This High Elf Queen was not just a feared ruler; she was also the greatest enemy of Ivana—the one he treasured most. And now, for the first time, she was truly standing before him, no longer a distant threat but a real presence.

From above, through the eyes of Zepy, the flying golem, Broken could see that High Elf forces had surrounded the entire area. Their numbers were impossible to determine, but they filled every corner of his vision.

Further up, soaring in the sky, dozens of wyverns flew in formation. They had approached from the distance and were now circling the area. Seated atop each wyvern were High Elves, their presence solidifying the weight of the situation.

Had the High Elf Queen truly come here with such an overwhelming force? Wasn’t this excessive? What could have compelled her to take this so seriously?

Was it because the barrier had been restored? Or was it because the legendary-grade monster had been slain? Could she have been the one who planted that monster there in the first place?

If their victory over the raid monster was the reason for her arrival, then the most likely possibility was clear—she had indeed been the one behind the creature’s presence all along.

“What should we do, Broken?” SexyGrill murmured softly.

“We stay… there’s no way we can just leave in a situation like this.”

“She…” SexyBloom added, her voice uncertain. “She really went this far just to find Ivana…”

Seriously… with such an extreme display of force from the Queen, it was clear this wasn’t something she was taking lightly. She didn’t just send an envoy. She had come here herself. That alone proved how important this was to her, how determined she was to see it through.

Besides, wasn’t Ivana still in the midst of her awakening? Was she truly that much of a threat already? Enough for the Queen to take such drastic measures?

Or perhaps… The Queen saw something in Ivana’s potential that made her a serious concern. Or maybe, after so long spent sitting idly in her palace, she had finally found something interesting enough to act upon.

Even the dragonkin stood frozen, unable to mask their shock at the catastrophe unfolding before them. Like… no matter what they did now, it felt as if destruction was inevitable.

But the barrier… there was still the barrier protecting this place, wasn’t there?

And yet, at that very moment, the Queen, still hovering in the air, began to descend—slowly, deliberately—toward the barrier’s surface. And then, all at once… a massive crack spread across it, like a fracture splitting through reality itself. The next second, the barrier shattered, scattering like shards of glass dissolving into the empty air.

The barrier… it had been destroyed in an instant, crushed under the sheer power of the Queen.

The dragonkin, no longer hesitating, raised their weapons, preparing themselves for the calamity that was about to begin.

[The absolute authority of the Ancestral Pride Champion does not allow anyone except a Divine Champion to wield their weapon.]

A notification appeared before everyone, and in an instant, the weapons held by the dragonkin slipped from their grasp, clattering onto the ground.

Absolute authority? What kind of terrifying ability was this, one that prevented anyone from even holding their own weapons?

At the same time, SexyBloom attempted to retrieve her weapon from her inventory, only to shake her head—she was affected by the rule as well. Everyone was… except for three individuals. Broken, SexyGrill, and Vallrick—the only Divine Champions present.

But why… Why were the Divine Champions the only exception? Was this merely a way for the Queen to flaunt how effortlessly she could impose any rule upon everything around her?

She surely knew there were Divine Champion players present here. And yet, she allowed the three of us to remain capable of fighting at full force. Was this some kind of twisted invitation? A chance for us to strike?

It felt like she was saying: I can do anything. I can win anything. I am untouchable. Just don’t bother me. But if you dare to resist… I’ll guarantee doom for all of you.

Slowly, the Queen descended from the sky, her movements as graceful as they were deliberate. Her feet touched the ground with effortless elegance, as if the very earth welcomed her presence.

The moment she stood upright, poised and commanding, the dragonkin erupted into murmurs of panic, their instincts at war with the reality before them. Yet, despite their fear, they held each other back.

The Elder Wing had already signaled them—no one was to resist.

Like… their weapons had already been stripped from them without a fight. What else could they possibly do in a moment like this?

The Queen stood there in silence, her gaze flat and unreadable, carrying the weight of absolute authority as she looked upon the dragonkin.

The Elder Wing, still holding the others back from making any reckless moves, once again repeated the same explanation. The very same thing he had told Broken before.

This was now the second time Broken had heard those words—almost identical—spoken by the dragonkin.

The Dragon Princess was not here. They no longer had any ties to her.

And yet… the Queen had still come.

It seemed Broken wasn’t the only one doubting the dragonkin’s claim. Even the great and all-powerful High Elf Queen didn’t seem convinced. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have gone through the trouble of coming here herself.

The tension in the air was thick—so thick that even the faintest whisper of the wind could be heard. The rapid, anxious heartbeats of the dragonkin filled the silence, each pulse amplifying the suffocating pressure weighing down on them.

The Queen, clearly unimpressed by their answer, tilted her head slightly upward, her gaze shifting toward her airborne forces. It was a silent command.

And then—without hesitation—all the wyverns, ridden by High Elves, dived downward in rapid streaks, cutting through the peaks as they sped toward the dragonkin’s settlement.

At the same time, the High Elf soldiers stationed on the ground suddenly sprang into motion, rushing toward the dragonkin’s homes with frightening speed.

If she couldn’t confirm it directly, she wouldn’t believe them.

Moments later, screams and desperate cries for help rang out from below. High Elves stormed through the dragonkin’s dwellings, shoving, kicking, and striking down anyone who stood in their way. Resistance was futile—they were thrown aside, cut down, and overpowered without effort.

And in the midst of all of this, as Broken stood there, merely watching…

The Queen moved.

A single step.

Then, she turned—her piercing gaze locking onto him.

She was now looking straight at Broken, who stood at the entrance of the castle.

And for the first time since the tension had begun escalating to this extreme, Broken found himself meeting the eyes of the Queen.

This overwhelmingly powerful figure.

She surely knew about his connection to Ivana.
