LEGENDARY BROKEN PLAYER - VRMMORPG

Chapter 820 - 820 - The Roar of the Stadium

Leon stepped out of the capsule device and glanced toward the center of the home bus. There, a brown-haired woman sat with her legs crossed, engrossed in whatever she was reading on her device.

He walked over to Freya, who waved at him. “Hey… got enough sleep?”

“How was the match, Freya?”

“Uhm… I’m not sure you’ll make it even if you rush…” she replied with a small smile.

Without wasting another second, Leon stepped out of the home bus, with Freya following closely beside him, ready to recount everything that had happened during the match.

“It seems your team’s reputation is so massive that plenty of teams were eager to take down Destroyer right from the start,” Freya explained as they walked side by side toward the stadium where the match had taken place.

“But since Charmelyn managed to eliminate key players from the opposing side, their formation fell apart. That gave Goldrich and Starfall the opening they needed to corner the enemy and secure the overall victory.”

Freya hesitated for a moment before continuing, “However… I think our other team…”

Leon turned to her. “Team Elincia?”

“Yes…” Freya nodded. “Elincia and Maylock…”

Leon chuckled. “I guess everyone was too focused on Destroyer and forgot that the most brilliant player in Vensalor is also in this competition.”

They rushed into the stadium just as a loud cheer erupted from the crowd. At the same time, the players had already stepped out of the capsule devices, and the winners of the match were clear.

As Freya had predicted, Team Elincia claimed first place, while Team Destroyer secured second.

At that moment, the cameras zoomed in on Leon from afar, his face appearing on the big screen, triggering another wave of cheers from the audience.

Why did they always have to put the camera on him? These people really loved stirring up drama and hyping up the crowd.

With the trophy ceremony wrapped up, Leon quickly regrouped with his team. On the same day, the final match for the raid race was also set to take place.

That meant he had completely skipped the team battles—but no worries. At the very least, this victory gave Elincia and her team a well-earned reward. It was still a win for the Vensalor Guild.

And even without Leon in this match, Team Destroyer still managed to secure second place.

Were there just too many top-tier players not participating in this first-year competition? Leon couldn’t help but wonder. After all, so many Vensalor players had been dominating different matches.

Ronald and Freya went over the full lineup of teams they would be facing in the final match of the raid race, pointing out that several Divine Champions were among the competitors. And just like in the previous match, most of them would likely try to take down Team Destroyer right from the start.

Had they been showing off too much lately? Why did it feel like Leon was always the prime target of so many teams? Or was that just his own paranoia?

But in a competition like this, it was only natural for the strongest contenders to be ganged up on first—it was simply how things worked.

Soon after, the raid race began. However, this time, Broken joined in from the very first second, unlike before, when he had only stepped in once Starfall and Charmelyn were the last ones left standing.

Wasting no time, he immediately summoned Gaia and all of his beasts, clearing the monster waves at lightning speed—so fast that other teams had barely begun dealing with theirs.

With Goldrich on their side and Charmelyn’s expertise in puzzles, they cracked the puzzle challenge before any other team had even gotten started.

Seeing the pace at which Team Destroyer was advancing, the other teams hesitated to attack them. If they wasted time trying to take down Team Destroyer, there was a real chance the raid boss would end up being taken down by them alone.

Eventually, the puzzle phase wrapped up, and two other teams finally caught up to Team Destroyer.

But the moment that happened, Broken went all out, unleashing massive damage on the raid boss without holding back in the slightest. He had no reason to conserve his abilities, given that his cooldowns would be ready for the final match against Frostedge in the Duel of Champions.

Oddly enough, the entire match dynamic had shifted—none of the other teams dared to challenge Team Destroyer. This drew laughter from Melliandra, who couldn’t resist mocking them.

“You guys aren’t going to gang up on us this time? Hah? Is Broken really that terrifying to you? He’s just a blacksmith, huh…? Come on, attack us already!”

But despite her taunts, no one took the bait.

As the final blow landed on the raid boss, a deafening explosion of light filled the arena. The system announcement flashed across the massive screens—”RAID BOSS DEFEATED! TEAM DESTROYER VICTORIOUS!”

Brando, the caster, practically jumped out of his seat.

“UNBELIEVABLE! TEAM DESTROYER DOES IT AGAIN! They didn’t just win; they DOMINATED this raid race from start to finish! Look at that execution! Look at that precision! And BROKEN—what kind of monstrous damage output was THAT?! This is sheer destruction, ladies and gentlemen!”

The stadium erupted in chaotic cheers and screams as the crowd went absolutely wild.

The camera panned across the audience, capturing people jumping, throwing their arms in the air, some even banging on the railings in sheer excitement. Fans of other teams sat in stunned silence, unable to believe what they had just witnessed.

Brando, still caught in the adrenaline rush, kept going.

“And look at this! Not a SINGLE team dared to challenge them this time! What a complete reversal from the early rounds, where they were the number one target! And now? Now, Team Destroyer stands UNCONTESTED at the top!”

The energy in the stadium was electric, the roar of the crowd refusing to die down. Team Destroyer had just cemented their dominance in the tournament, and everyone knew it.

Leon and the others stepped out of the capsule devices, greeted by a wave of cheers as they made their way to claim their first-place trophy!

With this victory, Leon had now secured three trophies—one from the Blacksmith Competition, a second-place finish in the Team Battle, and now, another first-place win in the Team Raid Race.

If he could win the Duel of Champions, there was a real chance he’d be crowned MVP of the entire tournament.

But even before that, the energy in the stadium was already off the charts. The grand final—the ultimate showdown, the closing match of the competition—was happening today.

And at this moment, the entire audience was buzzing with speculation, theories, and debates. Who would emerge victorious in this all-out battle?

Frostedge… or Broken?

The match was set to take place in just one hour, and preparations for the closing ceremony were already underway.

And of course, taking center stage was Starfall—Heejin herself—the one who had performed this competition’s theme song. The moment she stepped onto the stage, the entire stadium erupted in excitement. Then, as soon as her divine, breathtaking voice filled the air, the crowd was completely spellbound.

Leon sat among his guildmates, watching this spectacular moment unfold.

The Eternal Challenge was entering its final phase, and already, a familiar wave of nostalgia swept over him.

It was moments like these that made it all worth it—the chance to reunite with so many friends, people he only ever got to see within this game.

But there was no time to dwell on that just yet.

With his entire soul, he was ready—ready for the final match.
