Kong Pili realised that Yu Mai had misunderstood something. She immediately said, “Lunch is indeed braised pork and pig feet, my mother did not lie to you.”

He blinked his eyes and naively said to Kong Pili, “Wait for me here, I will bring you something delicious! It’s something that my sister made and is not released in the mall. You will love it.”

After speaking he handed his little bear to Kong Li who was surprised by his actions but as soon as she touched the soft teddy bear, her eyes softened.

“Sister,” she said to Kong Pili. “This is really soft.”

Kong Pili was already thirteen but she was still a child. When she heard Kong Li say that the teddy bear was soft, she could not help it and then reached out to touch it.

Indeed it was really soft.

“It seems like it’s made of fox fur,” Kong Pili said knowledgeably.

“A bear made from fox fur? Pfft, it is so cute,” Kong Li chuckled as she studied the bear with twinkling eyes. “How I wish I could have one too.”

He handed the two sisters the jar that he was holding and happily said, “This is a mushroom meat sauce that my sister made. It is really delicious, you can eat buns and noodles with it. My third brother-in-law packed it because he was worried that we would eat something unappetizing while travelling.”

Kong Pili and Kong Li: “…” How nice. They were worried about not getting enough to eat while this mer’s brothers-in-law were worried that they would eat something unappetizing.

Really, the world was really unfair sometimes.
