Chapter 3488: The Hole

CAU55TW8’s group, where Kentucky and Celis were located, was quickly surrounded by the various SANS unit groups. CAU55TW8 couldn’t understand why so many of the enemy groups would send so many to intercept them.

CAU55TW8’s group was the only one moving in that kind of battle formation as if trying to protect something in the center. Turns out that it was just Kentucky and Celis.

Immediately, Kentucky and Celis activated their Domains. All the SANS Units within their range began to feel their energies being absorbed. Kentucky’s countless Blade Feathers supported his group while they also attacked. What was supposed to be a great disadvantage in numbers, turned into quite an even battle.

The SANS Units didn’t press for too long. When they saw their energy was almost empty, they immediately charged out of Celis and Kentucky’s Domains. Then, another group took their place, just for them to leave not too long later.

They couldn’t afford to attack all at once, as Celis and Kentucky would cause many of them to be buried there. Their attacks didn’t carry as much power, either. Celis’ Domain drained everything that entered its range, including the energy from the various types of attacks.

However, that made the SANS Units even more sure that Qwerty has to be in the midst of this group. After all, two of the Domains that caused so much trouble that day were right there!

CAU03 watched that from afar, quite impressed by the difference that only Celis and Kentucky were able to make. Even with such a huge disadvantage in numbers, their Domains allowed CAU55TW8’s group to hold their position and not be suppressed. He heard about it from CAU431, but seeing it with his eyes was another story.

Yet, CAU03’s attention didn’t dwell on CAU55TW8’s group. Instead, he looked in another direction as Roan’s group made its way to the left side of the battlefield. ’That direction...’ CAU03 knew what could be found there.

Roan saw that half of the forces that came out of the city focused on where Kentucky and Celis were. Then, he looked at the CAU Units fighting the group at the leftmost side. Half of the SANS Units from all groups detached to go after CAU55TW8’s group, where Celis and Kentucky were fighting. That left the reaming SANS Units with a slight disadvantage in numbers.

Roan ignored that, though. Instead, he checked the map CAU03 gave him of the city, nodding in satisfaction. ’That should be more or less here.’

Then...

-Charge!-

Roan gave the order to his group, and they shot forward, entering the range of the city and being detected instantly. They passed by the left-most group, ignoring the SANS Units there. They had only one objective, the barrier and a certain building just a few hundred meters behind it.

*Zum...*

Suddenly, another hole appeared in the barrier, and a new group of SANS Units came out. That was to be expected. After all, the SANS City has ten times more robots than the CAU units. The group that came out was pretty much the same size as Roan’s group, just a little bit over 3000 members.

Seeing that, Roan coldly smiled.

Instantly, everything went dark over a two-kilometer range. Dark Element began to corrode the robots from the SANS City, and even their detection methods seemed to be affected inside Roan’s Domain for the same reason. The hole from where the last group of SANS Units came from was still closing, but Roan had no intention of letting it happen.
