Chapter 3468: It Is Possible
The stars shined high in the skies. Here, where the light of the day does not touch, a group of Formations Masters was hiding inside a Concealing Formation. They had only one job, keep the Concealing Formation around them running and make sure the other formation hidden inside the Concealment would stay intact.
Suddenly, Spatial Power began to gather under that gigantic formation. Feeling the chance, they all looked at all the power attracted and quickly got out of the way. "Here they come!"
Space warped over several tens of kilometers. The power was so great that the Concealing Formation immediately broke down, being unable to resist the environment.
*ZUSH!*
Then, with a flash of silver light caused by the giant formation below, a mountain appeared in mid-air, just above the formation itself.
*Crack, crack, crack...*
As soon as the mountain appeared, the teleport formation also broke, now being impossible to be used to teleport back. It wasn’t a problem, though. The formation had been designed with that intention. It was made so no traces of where the teleport had been connected to would be left behind.
The formations master below quickly flew to the mountain. Naturally, that was the Divine Snow Mountain Sect. They approached the main field, where Abi and the other elders found themselves.
"Sect Master!" One of them stepped forward.
Abi looked to the skies, relieved the plan worked. "You guys did well. Leave the rest to us now."
Lotan also felt the same way. Sure, they planned to teleport the entire sect over, but they had never tried to teleport such a big thing before. There were no guarantees it could work. The amount of Divine Stones used for the teleportation was enormous, with quite a good amount being Rank Eight ones. Fortunately, the teleport happened without issues.
All the disciples and elders who joined the sect on this trip were lost. Very few knew about the Evernight World since it was beyond the border of the Divine Snow World. The few who knew had never been here to start with.
Lotan, obviously, took the chance to continue his explanation now that they got this far. "Okay, everyone. This is the Evernight World. All you need to know is that we need to pass through it if we want to leave the Divine Snow World without being detected. We don’t know what to expect ahead, so everyone has to contribute to the sect’s protection."
As Lotan spoke to the sect members, the sect then began to fly on its own, going further into the Evernight World. The formation before had been made at the very border of the Evernight World, just deep enough so the teleport could happen. Any deeper, and the formation wouldn’t connect to the formation in the Divine Snow World.
Lotan didn’t mind telling everyone where they were and where they were going now. He was sure that some of the spies remained, but it mattered not. In this place, the Werdlem Network couldn’t reach, so using their VS devices was meaningless. Even the old Thoughts Transmission Talismans were useless. That said, anyone who came will now have to stick with the sect. If they try to escape, that will reveal their identity, and they couldn’t possibly escape the sect’s top experts.
Last but not least, the Evernight World was avoided by everyone, including the Inquisition Hall. Chances were that the Inquisition Hall wouldn’t come after them anyway just because of the route they selected.
Lotan continued to speak to the sect members while Xawery, one of the Core Elders with a robot under her command, called Rean and Roan over. ’Rick, Morty, bring your robot to the front of the sect. I’m waiting for you there.’
The twins looked at each other and nodded. Kentucky and the others stayed in the sect while the twins quickly made their way to the front of the sect. By front, the elder meant the side of the sect in the direction of the path the sect was moving toward.
Soon, the twins arrived there, and Xawery was already there with her robot, R3. "So you are here."
The twins nodded before Roan spoke. "We heard from Lotan. You were the one who got lost in the Evernight World until your R3 found the way back to the Divine Snow World, right?"
Xawery nodded. "That is me. I called you here because I wanted to check your Robot... Errr... Qwerty, was it? Anyway, has it experienced any changes?"
They looked at Qwerty, who seemed to be just fine. "Qwerty, have you noticed anything in this place? Or better, do you think you can guide yourself here?"
"This unit doesn’t have any information about this place," Qwerty answered.
Roan narrowed his eyes, but before he could speak, Qwerty continued. "However, this unit’s system seems to be able to pierce through the illusory phenomenon here."
"Illusory?" Rean, Roan, and Xawery were taken aback. They knew one could get lost and never come back, but no one ever knew what caused it. Even Xawery didn’t know since her Robot only guided her out. It never told her what it was. It was the first time hearing that it happened because of an illusion.
Qwerty then pointed forward before its arm changed direction. "At the moment, the path we are taking isn’t a straight line, so we will need to make several turns nonstop if we want that to happen."
The twins and Xawery looked forward, and to them, it truly looked like they were going straight. They didn’t feel any changes in the sect either. The sect was so big, so if it was now flying straight forward, the entire thing should be showing some reaction. The entire sect has a huge mass, after all. It truly looked like the sect was flying straight ahead. "Are you sure?"
Qwerty nodded. "100% sure."
Xawery didn’t doubt, though. Her R3, just like Qwerty, was pointing in the same random directions as Qwerty. It’s just that her own didn’t talk at all. "This is good news. It was using R3’s direction guide that I eventually found my way back to the Divine Snow World. There is only one problem..."
Rean knew what it was. "If we need to keep changing direction so many times like this, it will be hard to control such an enormous floating piece of land."
"Exactly," Xawery agreed with Rean. "The mass of the sect is just too big. Unless, of course, we reduce the speed the sect is moving forward drastically."
"Qwerty," Rean tried anyway. "Do you think you can make the sect move forward without having to do so many direction changes. At the very least, not have to do such sharp turns?"
"Yes, master," Qwerty immediately took flight, flying a few hundred meters ahead of the sect. "For that, we just need one of us to go ahead and serve as a beacon to the sect. That way, the ones who need to make the sharp turns are us; the sect just needs to adjust its direction slightly and follow our tail."
"Oh!" Rean, Roan, and Xawery were obviously happy to hear that. And it was a very simple solution indeed. "Then it seems like we can truly rely on the robots."
*Zaam!*
*Boom!*
Yet, they barely had time to feel happy before the first problem happened. Out of nowhere, something hit the sect’s protection formation, causing it to shake violently. Yes, it had other protection formations prepared other than the one concealing the mountain back then. Soon, the twins saw tens of thousands of weirdly shaped beasts flying towards the sect. "Well, it was too good to be true..."
