Death... and me

Chapter 3467: Long Gone

Chapter 3467: Long Gone

The entire field went completely silent. Leaving the Divine Snow World? First of all, what did she even mean by leaving the Divine Snow World? Was there another world? Let’s not forget that the Divine Realm was pretty much a secret in the Divine Snow World, and the Divine Snow World was everything there was to them. So, if they were leaving, where exactly were they going?

"Ahem..." Lotan intervened, taking the stage with Abi. "The Sect Master was a little harsh. First, let me explain what our sect will be doing and where we are going. Only then you will have an hour to decide."

Abi glanced at him but didn’t say anything. Since there was someone to explain for her, even better.

Lotan then proceeded to tell the whole story. He told the disciples and lower elders about how the Divine Snow World is just a small part of the Divine Realm. He also mentioned many things regarding the outside, like the Werdlem Empire and the Supreme Palace, who truly controlled their Universe.

That and many other topics were covered, with Lotan taking in questions from various disciples and elders alike. It wasn’t before three hours of conversation that Lotan finally waved his hand, putting an end to that meeting. "Alright, there is no need to speak anymore. You all now have a good idea. The Divine Snow World is just a bubble, and we are locked inside. There is no future outside other than being a brainwashed dog if you choose the conventional method. Do you want to stay in the Divine Snow World, or do you want to leave with us?"

He continued. "I won’t lie; the trip will be dangerous. I can’t tell you how we will go out, but even if we make it through, there is no guarantee that life outside the Divine Snow World will be worth it."

"Many of you don’t even know if you can ever reach the Space-Time Realm, let alone the Divinity Realm. Thus, this escape plan might truly be nothing but suicide in your eyes. That’s why we won’t stop any of you from leaving. But, if you are confident in your abilities, then you should really consider trying this. Now, elder Hudiander has something to say."

Hudiander, which the twins had met when they were first brought to the robot, stepped forward. "If you decide to leave, there is no need to go down the mountain. You won’t be able to leave anyway since the protection formation is preventing that. Instead, access your VS Devices and the sect’s network. You will find there an option regarding this choice. If you select to stay with the sect, you don’t need to do anything else. If you wish to leave, just mark the option, and when the time comes, you will be teleported to one of the surrounding cities. That’s all."

With that, the elders sat on their chairs, which had been prepared ahead of time on the stage. They simply waited there as all the sect members who were unaware of the plan before thought about their options.

Many of them had families outside the sect and weren’t unwilling to leave, so they selected to stay in the Divine Snow World. Others, especially those confident in their talents, gave up everything and selected to go out with the sect. Little by little, two distinct groups were formed, and the sect didn’t intervene at all. None of the core elders tried to convince any of the sect members. They just kept silent.

Finally, an hour later, Abi got up and spoke to everyone. "Time is up. To those who decided to stay in the Divine Snow World, I wish you good luck in your future endeavors. As for those who will follow the sect, I will do my best to bring us out of the Divine Snow World. Activate the teleport!"

*Rumble!*

The topmost of the Divine Snow Mountain began to tremble. Spatial power gathered like torrents, something never seen before. Well, the twins’ group saw even worse back in Lisan, but they wouldn’t tell anyone about that.

*Zush, zush, zush, zush...*

First, tens of thousands of experts began to disappear in the space of a few minutes. All of them were the members who decided to stay in the Divine Snow World. They were teleported randomly to the nearby cities, and that would be the last time they would have seen the sect.

Still, the Spatial Power enveloping the top of the mountain, where the sect was located, didn’t diminish at all. If anything, it increased even more until...

*Crack, crack, crack...*

"As I thought..." Rean murmured, feeling the top of the mountain detaching from the rest.

Yes, the entire sect broke away from the rest of the mountain and was now floating. Above in the sky, countless runes appeared, and many formations rotated as if generating propulsion for the sect to go up.

All that gathered Spatial Power activated, and a blinding silver light enveloped the entire sect and everyone in it. Just like that, the Divine Snow Mountain Sect disappeared, leaving behind most of the mountain that it once stood on.

No one could see it from outside, though. The formation that covered the entire mountain remained, and even though many of its members were sent out, they wouldn’t have expected the entire sect to teleport away.

As one can imagine, the disciples and elders who stayed behind quickly accessed the Divine Snow World network, spreading the news. Some were even spies from various powers, and they made sure to contact their superiors. They couldn’t do it before inside the protection formation as it blocked all signals.

Later that same day, various Space Time Realm experts appeared in the Divine Snow Mountain Sect territory, ignoring the limits of the forest and flying straight to where the mountain was located. The protection formation didn’t allow anything to escape, so none of them could confirm what was happening inside.

One of those experts, someone from the Inquisition Hall, tried to contact the people inside but failed to do so. In the end, he joined with the various other experts and attacked the barrier. As strong as the barrier might have been, it couldn’t resist the onslaught of so many Space-Time Realm experts. It eventually came down... just to show the empty top of the mountain and a long-gone sect.
