This interaction between Rowan and the unknown presence was not hidden from the World Stele, and it was never meant to be. Rowan had hidden this child for too long and at the end of everything, he would loathe it if his brilliance faded in the dark, even though Rowan would never forget him, he still wanted reality to witness his glory.
The World Stele did not welcome this new presence and the entire space that it controlled rippled with its consciousness, its voice bubbled through reality carrying its fury,
"Who hides from my gaze?"
"I do not hide, I have been here all along, but you always forget my presence. I guess I did a very good job of infiltrating your cursed world…"
In the sky, above the womb of Thenos, a green comet appeared, trailing a long tail that seemed to stretch to infinity, its appearance appeared incredibly distant yet extremely close at the same time, it seemed to have always been in the sky but its presence had been ignored by everyone, but only when it wanted was it revealed to their senses.
"Whatever you are planning, Rowan, it is not going to work."
"If that is the case," Rowan laughed, "Then why do I hear fear in your voice? My children, are they not magnificent?"
A part of the sky had become colored green as the comet descended closer, shocking all of existence, even Thenos stopped his endless barrage of attacks and focused on this descending piece of heaven. Then this foul unborn titan made a weird cry, almost sounding like laughter but that was the closest descriptor that Rowan could give it, and he began to struggle out of his womb.
Rowan felt a wave of power erupt from the World Stele, crossing space and it slammed into the comet, with a terrible crash, it exploded like a supernova, revealing there was someone in the center of it, Berrion, The Undying, whose roar of challenge and defiance echoed across eternity.
The explosion of the comet had injured him, leaving large wounds in his body that revealed bones, but his seven fluffy green fox tails behind him were spotless, they waved behind him like a mystical cloud and as if they boosted his speed, he was launched downwards quicker than a thought. That explosion had cracked the bone mask that was worn across his face, revealing his brutish visage filled with scars that pulsed with darkness and fire, the large black fangs that filled his mouth, glinted in the fading green glow of the sky, yet underneath the twisted and rage-filled face of the undying, one could see a piercing resemblance to Rowan.
He zipped across the sky, bouncing from one position to the next in a quick and jerky manner that seemed chaotic but every move was bringing him closer to the ground.
His movements may come across as erratic but that was only on the surface, what was happening was that he was avoiding the grasp of the World Stele who was sending countless waves of power to intercept him, but his foxtails made his movements both illusory and strange as he tore through several layers of set up by the World Stele. Like a hand attempting to catch a fly, the Undying swerved and dodged the grasp of the World Stele with an effortless grace that was both stunning and dreadful.
The World Stele vibrated, its fury reaching a new height, something about this creature that was descending was filling its spirit with panic and anger because it was an unknown. The struggles from Thenos entered its perception, and its resolve firmed, nothing could ruin this moment, not even a Primordial.
Rowan’s body suddenly became a size smaller as the wave of sealing power that erupted out of the World Stele exploded, even the struggles of the Eye of Time ceased.
This power was ten times greater than what the World Stele had used to bind Rowan and the Eye of Time to the ground, it changed the color of reality, turning it gray like old stone, and all of that power was directed at one target… and it failed to him.
Berrion The Undying, tore his way through the gray force, his long black claws that were curved like a raptor seemed to cut through this strange sealing force of the World Stele, and despite the all-pervasive nature of this power that should have bound his entire body in place, his tails seemed to a source of endless momentum, pushing him ever closer to the ground, and as he fought through the sky, he began to laugh, his voice carrying a sense of freedom, madness and deep heartsickness,
"They say pain fades with time, but not for me. Endless years I have endured the flames inside the heart of your madness. This realm has burned me, and now I shall repay the favor, a thousand times over."
"You shall do nothing, but fall!"
The crash that happened next was so powerful, that even Rowan was deafened by it. The World Stele despite its belittling of Rowan had long come to understand that he was an extremely dangerous opponent and he was not someone you could allow time to finish his plans.
Every advantage that one had over him must be acted upon with great discretion or failure would be the only option since Rowan seemed to have the uncanny ability to drag order out of chaos.
Not wishing to find out the surprise that Rowan had in store for it, the World Stele had simply sacrificed a small part of itself, and the terrible crash of before was a result of it destroying that part as fuel to multiply its dealing force.
Like Primordials, Singularities could not use any minor energy to fuel their powers, but they did not use Primordial Essence, instead they were fueled by Destiny. Not just any Destiny, that Destiny must be from a Breaker!
Across existence, that word meant many things to different people, but only a few knew that in all of existence, the real meaning of Breakers was those special few whose destinies could hold a Singularity.
Without a hale host who could have provided the World Stele with energy after the endless eons, even this powerful Singularity was running dry of its essence, and this led to it bursting out with everything it had to ensure that everything followed its plans.
This power slammed against Berrion with a force that could change creation, and he began to slow. The Undying burst out with all of its potential, revealing that he was an eighth-dimensional being and one whose powers seemed to perfectly counter those of the World Stele, but the Singularity had seemingly gone insane and was willing to sacrifice half of its life if it would ensure that its enemy fell.
Frightening shock waves erupted from around Berrion’s body as the strain of fighting against a crazed Singularity broke even his extreme strength and one of his foxtails exploded, granting him a passage through the sealing force, but not for long, the power against him was unending, and so he continued destroying his fox tails, pushing himself closer to the ground and leaving a trail of gore behind that stretched for millions of miles.
"I burn, but soon, so shall you."
