Rex inspected the person who saved him and wasn't expecting to see this.
For starters, he has never seen a creature like this.
Height-wise, this creature was even shorter than a Dwarf—but as bulky, and its face was covered with white furs. Its fangs poked out from the top and bottom part of his lips but he did not look scary due to it—maybe because of the smile on its face, this creature looked friendly.
Not to mention, this person also looked dignified—like the scholarly kind of dignified.
Snapping out of his trance, he immediately scanned this thing.
…
<Andreas Lilac>

…
This guy… His strength is nothing compared to his gears.
It was the first time for Rex to meet someone who had stronger equipment than themselves.
Not a little bit stronger as well but a lot stronger, the additional stat points Andreas got from his gears were multiple times higher than his own stats. So much so that even though he was an Ascendant Spirit 1, he has the power equivalent to Rex who has the combat prowess of an Ascendant Spirit 5.
Ignoring Rex's judgmental look, Andreas smiled, "You aight big wolfie?"
"Big wolfie…?" Rex sucked in a cold breath.
In his entire life as a Werewolf, nobody has ever called him 'Big Wolfie', it's embarrassing.
"Who are you and why did you help me?" Rex asked questioningly.
Upon hearing this, Andreas slapped Rex's shoulder once again—laughing heartily with both hands on his hips, "What do you mean why? We're both Demon Spirits and our people should watch each other's backs shouldn't we?"
Rex tilted his head in confusion, "You don't find me weird-looking?"
Considering that Werewolves were identical to the Mortal Realm, Rex was prepared to be judged and also shunned inside the Spirit Realm—be considered a misfit. But instead of getting that treatment, he got this instead.
"Let's save the chit-chat for later aye?" Andreas looked over his shoulder. "We got that fatso to deal"
Just then, to Rex's surprise, the coiling mark on Andreas' arm glowed as he summoned his Soul Artifact.
Based on his stat window, Rex already knew that it was going to be a hammer.
A defense-type Soul Artifact.
However, he wasn't expecting the hammer to be massive.
Appearing in Andreas' hands was a massive hammer made entirely of golden light with small wings on its head. It was so big that someone as big as Rex would be able to hold it with two hands—and not look weird—in fact, the hammer would've been more perfect in his hands.
For someone as small as Andreas to wield a hammer this big was a sight to see.
Placing the handle of his colossal hammer on his shoulder, an almost mischievous grin crossed his lips.
Roar!
Across from him, the Giga Skull Crusher let out a guttural growl, its grotesque bulk heaving weirdly as it slammed its massive hands into the ground. A line of jagged bone spikes erupted from the earth in a straight line, hurtling toward him with deadly precision.
Unfazed, Andreas hefted his hammer with practiced ease.
Despite the weapon's size, it seemed light in his hands—almost as if it weighed a feather.
Gripping the handle tightly, he made a swift, casual swing and shattered the advancing spikes with an echoing shockwave—breaking them into harmless fragments, sending shards flying in every direction but his behind.
It was so shocking to see as the fat creature wasn't a weak spirit, it was an Immortal Spirit.
Wow, he could even match an Immortal Spirit? His gears are top-notch.
Rex watched from behind and praised Andreas inside, he didn't look like it but he was very strong.
Seeing this, the fat creature growled in frustration—its sunken eyes blazing with fury.
Without warning, it launched itself into the air, defying its own bloated form—as it soared high above once again. Its shadow loomed over Andreas, promising devastation upon landing. Rex, watching from behind, instinctively tried to stand, intending to intervene.
Considering Andreas' stature, he would've squished to death if the fat creature landed on him.
But Andreas raised a hand, waving him off like he was swatting a fly.
"Aye, this is nothing big wolfie," He spoke casually. "Easy peasy but after, we should still run"
As soon as he said that, Andreas' stance grounded like an immovable boulder.
Planting his feet firmly, he gripped his hammer tightly as spirit energy began to course through it.
Responding to the gathering of spirit energy, the hammerhead glowed brighter and brighter until it shone like a second sun. A smirk crossed Andreas' face as he gazed defiantly to the fat creature that was falling down like a meteor, "Pneuma Genesis, Reflective Strike!"
Boom!
Upon the chant, Andreas swung his hammer with all his might.
A deafening collision echoed, sending shockwaves through the ground and cracking the earth beneath him slightly. The fat creature fought the force with its weight but in the next second, the hammer flashed and flung it away, sending it tumbling through the dark smoke and skidding across the rocky terrain for hundreds of meters.
Rex had his mouth agape.
He was expecting Andreas to be crushed but instead, the fat creature was thrown away like a ragdoll.
Not lightly but thrown hurtling hard, grazing against the ground viciously.
"Pow!" Dusting his hands off, Andreas spun the hammer once before resting it back on his shoulder, a bit pleased with the result. He turned around to meet with Rex's gaze—and gave a smiling thumb up, "Told ya, easy work!" He said with a wink.
Snapping from his surprise, Rex smiled wryly and also gave a hesitant thumbs up.

As he did that, Andreas put away his hammer and ran past Rex.
"Come on, then, run!" He shouted, moving his small but fast legs. "Deflecting it was easy peasy but on the other hand, killing it is impossible. It's an Immortal Spirit 1, really, really strong! Even if we both work together, we can't. Star moving your hinds wolfie, we will be in trouble if it uses its own genesis ability"
Rex nodded his head and sprinted after Andreas.
Soon enough, the two saw a brilliant green column of light ahead of them—a Life Vein.
Of course, the Giga Skull Crusher was chasing them again.
Unlike before, it was angrier now—more motivated.
However, Rex and Andreas managed to leap past the green column of light before the fat creature was able to reach them albeit barely. Rolling across the ground, Rex stopped to look at his behind and saw the fat creature's furious eyes looking at him and Andreas from the other side of the column.
Its murderous eyes were fixed on Rex and Andreas, blazing with reluctance.
Voidal Monsters couldn't enter this place, they were safe here.
Rex stood up and looked around.
He noticed that on the ground, there was a pulsating green vein that stretched to the distance, creating some sort of safety bubble along its length. Despite knowing what a Life Vein was—and how it would protect him from Voidal Monsters, this was his first time being in one.
Huh… the Spirit Realm is messier than the Mortal Realm.
Although the Mortal Realm wasn't perfect with war everywhere, the environments at least were fine.
Compared to the Spirit Realm, it was almost like heaven.
<Congratulations, the user has reached level 19!>
<Obtained a level 10 Spirit Box for reaching level 10!>
<Does the user want to open it?>
<Yes or No>
Open it.
<Opening…>
<Congratulations, the user has obtained 5x Double Absorption Ticket>
Upon reading the last notification, Rex checked the description and found the ticket could be used on the Nightfall Stars to double the spirit energy it provided. But from the description, he also found that the 'spirit energy' that he was referring to and could sense was life energy instead.
It was probably why the Obelisk of Life was called that because it exuded life energy.
And the Nightfall Stars also provided him with life energy.
How many Nightfall Stars did I obtain?
…
<Accumulated Nightfall Stars>
• White Nightfall Stars: 52
• Yellow Nightfall Stars: 0
• Red Nightfall Stars: 0
• Gold Nightfall Stars: 0
• Dark Nightfall Stars: 0
…
Rex nodded his head once he was shown the table of all of his Nightfall Stars.
He didn't know how potent the white one would be but he would try soon enough.
But considering that he was still at the High Spirit rank, reaching a breakthrough shouldn't be hard.
"You okay, wolfie?" Andreas asked suddenly from behind.
"You saved me, thank you," Rex quickly turned towards Andreas and nodded but his expression went from friendly to serious almost instantly after, catching Andreas off guard. "But do not call me wolfie again or I'll break your jaw. My name is Rex, Rex Silverstar"
"Someone has a temper," Andreas smiled wryly. "Okay then, Rex, are you alone?"
"No, my friends are supposed to be…" Rex looked around and saw two figures approaching him.
Finding that he was fine, Linthia was relieved.
"Your Majesty!" She called aloud before coming to a stop beside Rex.
Her hands struggled to know where to go, she wanted to hug Rex out of relief but quickly realized that she shouldn't do that. Rex, oblivious to this looked at her in surprise, "How did you know that I'm lost? Can you see through the darkness?"
"Ah… yes, it's sort of happened" Linthia replied, smiling beamingly.
On top of being relieved that Rex was fine, she was also relieved that she got something.
Just then, Rex's eyes glistened.
He had already checked himself but he hadn't checked Linthia's and Amanir's stats.
…
<Linthia>
Status: Relieved and Afraid.
Race: Dark Fairy / Ghost Spirit
Power: High Spirt 1 (First Circle) – Emptiness of Dark Nature
Soul Artifact: Dark Fairy Wings – A-grade (Hybrid)
Echo: -
Spiritual Points: 11,000
Strength: 9,220
Agility: 13,100
Endurance: 8,010
…
Physical stat-wise, Linthia was about at the mouth of the Ascendant rank.
Her only shocking factor was her abnormally high spiritual points.
Not to mention, even her Soul Artifact wasn't anything remarkable—she was meager in every way but Rex wasn't worried about that. She was here to become stronger. Being weak wasn't wrong, the only wrong thing was if she wanted to stay weak.
Since she didn't want to stay weak, she's not in the wrong.
All that mattered was her Spiritual Vein, she must at least be of an Imbalanced type.
Clicking on the 'Emptiness of the Dark Nature' section, Rex was relieved.
Just like him, she also awakened to an Imbalanced type.
A Dark Fairy has a special connection with the Spirit Realm, Rex knew that already—from back when he scanned the strongest bloodline for a Dark Fairy. So in truth, he wasn't worried that much if Linthia would be able to keep up or not.
Call it a gut feeling but he was confident that she could keep up.
Glancing to the other side, he checked on Amanir.
…
<Amanir – Enhanced>
Status: Confused.
Race: High Kintun Demon Spirit
Power: High Spirit 5 (First Circle) – Sham of Duplicity
Soul Artifact: Kitun Ears – SS-grade (Support)
Echo: -
Spiritual Points: 11,700
Strength: 7,100 (+51,250)
Agility: 15,100 (+40,000)
Endurance: 3,010 (+76,750)
…
Rex couldn't help but frown when he saw Amanir's stats.
Since he learned about the Spirit Realm, he knew that both Amanir and Devo were quite young spirits. Both were only acting as if they were old when in truth, they weren't that strong. Before Rex made them absorb the Lightning and Light Ego from the System, they were both at Foundation Rank.
It was probably the only reason Rex could purchase them at a small price.
However, the Awakened back home has weaker spirits.
Most of their spirits were toddlers, which was why Devo and Amanir could help Rex dominate.
Now that they were in the Spirit Realm, every spirit here was stronger.
"But this…? Isn't this pathetic?" Rex mumbled with a sneer.
