The dragon's harem

Chapter 1142 - 1142: The Light of Hope

As the [Ho-white Nova]s exploded into a massive flash of light, Hati struggled to keep the fire and blast away from her kingdom to the point that her fingers bled. It wasn’t the power of the blast, but the area of it. Arad had thrown the bright stars everywhere, trying to cause as much destruction as possible, and had killed several abominations at once.

Kayden growled, “Did he go mad?” And Kali laughed, “At least not as mad as you. I like the destruction, but… not the loss of innocent lives.” Her eyes shifted toward Hati, “Don’t underestimate me, no one died, but some were blinded by the light or got burned.”

But it was then that a large smile appeared on Gamond’s face. “I see… he wasn’t trying to kill the abominations… this is a beacon, a call for help.”

As Arad’s shriveled body fell back, bathed in the crimson glow of the dawning sun, its god rays piercing the air and warming the stone now that Arad’s fire cleared everything. A long hand caught him.

“Blinded and battered and with a body crying to slumber, you’ve done a great job; that last push was enough.” The clean raspy voice slowly lowered Arad to the floor. The two glowing blue eyes stared at Merlin and the others, “Keep him safe here.”

As Gojo stood, the sun fading behind his back as the ever-hungry darkness of the night consumed the world, the stars shimmered, twisting and turning as his eyes flashed.

Gojo looked at the abominations in the sky, his face calm, stern, but hiding a burning malice of pure rage and madness. No one could mistake it, the one standing before them wasn’t the human Gojo, and neither was it the void dragon, it was the raw, beastial monster of a dragon that slumbered at the depth of his soul.

Gojo suddenly disappeared and pure darkness feel on the battlefield, everything had been sucked into his Elemental expansion, friends and foes. And suddenly, that infinite darkness flashed with light, a nuclear furnace of pure energy descended down on the abomination trapped inside, while Kayden and the rest were kicked out.

The rank 12 abomination growled and tried to destroy the expansion, only to get punched in the face by Gojo and have his head ripped off. The abomination didn’t die, but it was still shocking to be harmed by someone who isn’t Kayden or a god.

All of the abominations ganged up on Gojo to finish him off, but they found themselves facing a true monster while being burned alive. He wasn’t faster than their fastest, nor was he physically stronger than their strongest, but he was a vicious, murderous, ruthless killing machine that feeds on the suffering of its prey.

As the abominations scrambled to find a path to escape his expansion, Gojo played with them as much as he could. There was some he could’ve killed, but he didn’t, leaving them mangled at the death door to instill as much fear as he could.

As the battle roared above, shrouded in a mantle of darkness, Betty growled, “We should help him.”

“Don’t, you’ll get him killed,” Kali growled at her. Gojo was indeed weaker than the combined power of the hundred deadly abominations. But what he was was a threat; inside his expansion, he should be able to damage and weaken enough for Kayden and her to finish them off. The catch was that he needed to fight alone in his expansion, having anyone inside would distract him.

Several thousand kilometers away, on a large rocky shore, several towering monsters stood, twenty of them. Those creatures looked nothing like the living creatures of the world, tall, slithery, vaguely humanoid, and ancient. Abominations, some of them were hiding in the depths of the sea for hundreds of years, awaiting a moment like this.

Those who were sent to finish Arad off were sent by them. Their plan was simple: that massive group, led by one rank 12 abomination, would cause as much chaos as possible, and those twenty would strike after the battle reached its end. There were fourteen rank 11 abominations and six rank 12. Their combined power far surpasses that of the early strike.

“What a beautiful day! Today we reap our rewards, those world shall be ours. It had struggled for far too long.” The one standing at the center laughed. He lifted his six hands up and looked at the sky, “At last, like the others, it shall fall. Our lord shall be pleased.” He pulled a staff and waved it.

“Now, fall, crumble, under the blessing of my father. Today we shall bathe in glory.” The others looked at him and then chanted, “For our lord! For our Lord!”

Suddenly, a small portal opened behind them, and a sweet, melodic voice rang out of it, “Do you even have balls to harvest? You called someone’s father, so that must be the case.”

They all looked back, seeing this one-foot-tall fairy walk out of the comically tiny portal. They froze, staring at her with confused faces. But they could feel it, a strangely oppressive feeling that they’d never felt before.

“Who are you?!” Their most ancient growled, pointing his staff at her. But Zephyr didn’t bother responding. She glared at them, and immediately the wind started blowing violently.

A massive tornado sucked the water out of the sea and forced it to raise into the clouds. Another tornado picked up debris from the nearby forests and mountains at the shore and turned into a massive swirling massive of dust and boulders. And then another passed by the nearby villages, leaving them unharmed, but it seems to have picked up some fire, growing into a massive infernal storm of fire and lightning.

As the abominations looked around them, confused, the fairy spoke again. “I can fight on my own. But don’t blame me for skinning you later.” It was at that moment that another three fairies appeared, kneeling beneath her feet. Those were the fire, earth, and water spirits of the world.

While all spirit queens are powerful beings, only one of them takes the lead and rules over them. In the past, Zephyr had used this power of hers to make the fire spirit create a body for Amber, and it was in exchange for a favor. The reason she hated owing them favors is that they can use it to run away in fights like this.

The fire spirit looked up at Zephyr, and she growled. “You want to use the favor to not fight?”

The fire spirit shook her head, “No, I’ll fight.” But suddenly a large grin appeared on her face, “Would that make it two favors?”

Zephyr glared at her, “It’ll remain one. But it’ll make it easier for you to earn a favor.” And with a growl she turned her gaze at the abominations, “We clean our house first, and we’ll talk later.”
