Chapter 3070: Please Follow the Instructions

Ning Shu thought about it for a moment but ultimately gave up. Her top priority was to survive and leave this place, as well as to gather enough money for the entrustor’s mother to undergo surgery.

The entrustor was so poor that they had to risk joining this show. Where else would she possibly get a large sum of money if she left this place after robbing those people?

Although, regarding the program’s ten-million promised reward… Ning Shu could only chuckle dryly at the thought. She didn’t hold out any hope for it.

She wiped the sweat off her face. Her T-shirt was completely soaked, and it clung tightly to her skin. The weather was unbearably hot.

Having her disheveled appearance broadcast like this was truly…

Beep, beep, beep…

The walkie-talkie on Ning Shu’s waist crackled to life again. “Please follow the instructions.”

“Find your teammate and survive together.”

Ning Shu let out a long breath, propped herself up with a wooden stick, and stood up. Then, she began limping forward.

After all, her leg was supposed to be injured. Wouldn’t it be strange if she could walk as if nothing were wrong?

She was given the task of finding her teammate and surviving together with them…

But in the end, there could only be one winner. Who would the ten million go to?

If the money were split among twenty people, each would get 500,000.

If more than one person survived until the end, how would the prize be divided?

Ning Shu couldn’t shake the feeling that this show was filled with malice. Could it be that the whole purpose of this program was to test human nature?

Ning Shu released her spiritual consciousness. If there was any danger ahead, she would avoid it.

It wasn’t just animals here that were dangerous; the plants here were just as deadly.

If she accidentally came into contact with poisonous vegetation, she would end up in serious trouble.

Ning Shu moved slowly. Whenever she came across suitable medicinal herbs, she would chew them up and apply them to her wound.

To purge the poisoned blood, she’d even used a knife to cut open the wound.

The jungle was hot and humid, and her wound had already begun to fester, even with the aid of spiritual energy to help heal it.

The harsh environment was the real issue.

What she feared most were the mosquitoes—these ones were huge. If she contracted malaria, she wouldn’t be able to get treated for it on this island, and she would certainly die.

Venomous snakes were hidden everywhere.

Going this far just for a show…

This was insane.

The entrustor had ended up dying. People were actually dying because of this show.

Ning Shu hobbled forward slowly. She was more focused on observing her surroundings than on speed.

She noticed that the island was littered with cameras, so many that it was almost ridiculous. Exactly how much had been invested in this?

All this for a single TV show?

But this show had already resulted in deaths. Was the television station not worried about being sued?

Or did they expect the audience to believe that this live survival broadcast was staged?

That no one had actually died?

After walking for an entire day, Ning Shu finally encountered someone. Was this the ‘teammate’ the walkie-talkie had mentioned?

It was a woman in her thirties. The program’s information identified her as a housewife.

When she saw Ning Shu, the woman’s expression lit up with relief. “I finally found you.”

Then, she asked, “What happened to your leg?”

Ning Shu sat down on a moss-covered rock and said, “I got bitten by a snake.”

She was a bit surprised. This housewife had actually managed to survive for eight days.

The woman sat down beside her. “Was it venomous? Seeing that you’re still alive, I guess it wasn’t.”

Ning Shu said nothing. Based on the environment, it was impossible for the snakes here to be harmless. Even if they weren’t venomous, they were likely large enough to constrict and suffocate their prey.

She turned to the woman and asked, “Have you ever received orders through the walkie-talkie?”

The woman shook her head. “No, I haven’t.”

Ning Shu frowned. Then, was she the only one who had?

She studied the woman carefully. Her face had some brownish spots, and her figure was somewhat out of shape. She didn’t have the graceful curves of a younger woman.

The woman avoided Ning Shu’s gaze. Then, she stood up and said, “Let’s go find something to eat for tonight.”
