In the path of the sword, there are many aspects one must possess to be able to walk it.

Sword Qi, Sword Intent, and Sword Body are the three most common ones known to many. However, there are others, and the more you possess, the easier it becomes for you to walk the path.

One such aspect is the Sword Gaze.

Just as the Weaver Gaze is meant for artisans, array masters, and formation experts, there is a gaze for swordsmen, and it’s called the Sword Gaze.

This allows one to see the strings of sword energy in the air and around them. That is its primary use, to see the strings of sword essence and master them.

Of course, there are many ways to utilize it.

However, at that very moment, Kent’s eyes were changing colours between red and golden, neglecting his natural purple colour.

This caused him to clench his head, writhing as the pain that reached down his spine overwhelmed his mind.

Dori, Gaia, and Akira appeared inside the tower, and despite the overwhelming Sword Qi and Intent in the air, they remained unaffected. Instead, happy and proud smiles could be seen on their faces.

⟪Master is awakening the Sword Gaze aspect,⟫ Gaia said with a happy smile.

⟪That is quite early for him this time, but I guess this is good. With the Sword Gaze, mastering the sword wouldn’t be much of a hassle for him,⟫ Dori added.

⟪I am more interested in him using it in combat. Reading the patterns of his opponents would come in handy.

But if he manages to learn just one Sword Gaze skill for combat, perhaps he will become much more evil than the last time⟫ Akira giggled.

While the ladies were imagining things, Kent was suffering on the ground for four good hours before the pain finally subsided.

But the moment it calmed down, his eyes snapped open, and a wave of Sword Intent and Qi flashed out, powerful enough to shake the heart of anyone.

Just looking at the set of red-golden eyes said it all. Those eyes weren’t a normal set of eyes. They were the eyes that showed how sharp his focus had become.

They also revealed how lethal his Sword Intent and Qi had grown.

Kent stood up and summoned his sword. The moment the sword inside its sheath entered his grip, the energy around him began to stir.

His Sword Intent and Qi started to rise.

Initially, it was at the 6th level, but after the first memory, it had moved to level 7. Now, after the second memory, his Intent and Qi rose to the 9th level, climbing two levels.

However, while he was just a step away from awakening Profound Sword Qi and Intent, someone possessing that would still struggle under his Intent.

This was because of one thing that was about to happen to him.

The moment the sword appeared, he looked at it and sat down.

Then, slowly, he began to draw the sword. However, the moment the sword was halfway out of its sheath, his body froze, and an air of enlightenment surrounded him.

Kent had entered his first enlightenment, and from the energy surrounding him, one could tell something profound was happening to him.

⟪Gaining enlightenment right after awakening his Sword Gaze is a recipe for disaster,⟫ Akira giggled.

⟪Dori, what are his chances of learning at least a Sword Gaze ability?⟫ Gaia asked. Dori was the best person to answer, considering this was her field.

⟪The chances of the master learning a Sword Gaze ability is 51%. The reason he might fail 49% of the time is because he is inexperienced. He is still too green, for he has never really faced much hardship for a while now.

However, the 51% comes into play, considering he has just recalled a memory of his time with the Sword Dao.

Though it’s just a memory, we all know the master’s memories aren’t ordinary, so we can only hope that comes into play.

But he has a higher chance of learning a Sword Gaze ability—and a powerful one—if he indeed was taken to such a place.⟫

The Cosmic Weaver and Soul Weaver nodded.

Dori, being a Mind Weaver, could casually see Kent’s memories, and from what she saw, the memories he just recovered were of his time with the Sword Dao.

Of course, Kent had given her permission, as the three were essentially there to help him. But now, the remaining question was whether or not he had what it took to comprehend whatever skill he would be presented with.

⟪I miss this. I miss us together, making sure the master gets the best out of everything,⟫ Gaia said, smiling.

⟪I miss this too. The master said family is everything, so it’s good we are finally together and reunited with him, even if he hasn’t remembered us yet.

I’m sure the moment he awakens the memories we’re in, he will finally start utilizing our abilities more.⟫

⟪That is going to be fun then. I can already see a lot of things he will require us to do. I most certainly want to remain busy and working always.⟫

The three ladies looked at their master, who was frozen in his enlightened state, and a wicked idea came into Gaia’s mind.

She extended her hand, and three different coloured markers appeared in her palm.

⟪You are evil, Gaia, but I like it,⟫ Dori giggled. She took one marker from Gaia, and Akira also took one.

⟪I calculate him being in the enlightened state for 90 days minimum, so we have time on our hands. I say we paint the Guy Fawkes mask on his face. This time⟫, Dori called dibs on the mischief they were about to commit.

⟪Fine. But this is only because we are giving you a welcome home gift. Next time he enters enlightenment, we will paint the bone mask,⟫ Gaia said.

Then they moved and started decorating their master’s face. Perhaps from past experience, they were having so much fun painting Kent’s face.

At the core of the universe, the beautiful lady giggled, amused.

“These children never learn. But then again, I guess their master also never learns.” She covered her mouth as if trying to hide her smile.

A dim golden light flashed across her eyes.

“When he is punishing you, don’t come running to me,” she said, but Gaia just smirked as she decorated Kent’s face.
