One Piece: Don't Worry, I'm a Doctor

Chapter 282: He’s gone mad? Charging in solo?

Chapter 282: Chapter 282: He’s gone mad? Charging in solo?

The moment Vir opened his eyes, his Observation Haki enveloped the entire prison.

Every detail within the prison walls became crystal clear in his mind.

He had originally planned to charge straight in and take down Magellan.

But when he spotted a straw-hatted figure sprinting in his direction, he decided to hold off for now.

The first level had already been breached.

The second level was being suppressed by the wild beasts and Hannyabal.

Magellan was also rushing over.

Luffy’s commotion was too loud—it was impossible not to notice him.

Right now, aside from the fifth-level guards, the entrance to the fourth level was heavily defended.

All forces from the third level and above had mobilized.

They were all chasing Luffy.

But thanks to his stretchy limbs, Luffy kept kiting them effortlessly, gradually driving the pursuers into a frenzy.

“Damn it! That brat can really run! Faster! FASTER! Once I catch him, I’m going to discipline him real good!”

Sadi-chan cracked her whip furiously as she shouted.

Even Luffy was starting to feel exhausted after running for so long.

The place was also unbearably hot—even he was struggling.

But just then, as he turned a corner, he locked eyes with Buggy, who was frozen in a bizarre pose inside a cell.

“Huh? Wait—you?! How’d you get ahead of me?! No—why are you in a cell?! Did you get caught again?!”

Luffy tilted his head in confusion.

“Mmph! Mmph—mmph! Mmph!”

Buggy, whose mouth was stuffed with every part of his body except his feet, clearly couldn’t say a word.

All he could manage was muffled whimpers.

“Straw Hat-chan!”

Suddenly, an overjoyed voice rang out!

A skinny man with heavy makeup slammed himself against the cell bars, eyes brimming with excitement—even tears.

Despite his face-blindness, Luffy recognized him instantly.

“Bon-chan?! You’re here too?! Did you get captured?! Hey—uh, what’s-your-name! Open the door!”

Just as excited, Luffy turned to Mr. 3 after a quick exchange with Bon Clay.

But Mr. 3 didn’t move immediately.

Instead, he glanced warily at the figure lounging on a rocking chair, swaying lazily.

Luffy followed his gaze.

But before he could get a good look…

“He’s here!”

A shout rang out.

Luffy, who wanted to rescue Bon-chan, didn’t run this time.

Instead, he struck a fighting pose to buy some time for Mr. 3.

’He’s definitely too tired to make a key now!’

That’s what Luffy thought.

“Kehahaha! Brat! Nowhere left to run!”

Hannyabal, his potbelly jiggling, laughed triumphantly.

Inside the cell, Buggy and the others paled instantly.

It was over!

After all that running, were they really cornered again?

Were they going to be dragged back after all?

Damn it!

If they got caught again… wouldn’t they be tortured to death?

Buggy and Mr. 3 looked like they were staring death in the face.

Hannyabal and his crew, meanwhile, noticed something odd about the cell.

“What the—?! Who the hell installed air conditioning for them?!”

“There aren’t even eight standing AC units in my deputy warden’s office! Which bastard set this up for them?!”

“Son of a—! Damn it! Get ’em!”

Who wouldn’t be jealous?

Living better in prison than in a resort?!

“You think this is a vacation?!”

With Hannyabal’s roar, the guards charged.

But just then—

*Click.*

The door opened.

Sensing Magellan was about to arrive, Vir slowly stepped out.

Ignoring Luffy’s stunned expression, he patted his shoulder—then yeeted him straight back into the cell.

“Huh? That guy looks just like Vir… Does he have a twin or something?”

Luffy scratched his head in confusion as he landed inside.

*Bang!*

The cell door slammed shut again.

This place was about to become a warzone—better to keep Luffy and the others out of it.

Buggy and the rest stared in disbelief.

What’s this guy up to?

Does he think he can take on all those guys by himself?

Shouldn’t they all team up and try to fight their way out?

Does he really think he’s stronger than the great Captain Buggy and can take on the entire prison’s guards?

Has this guy lost his mind?

After finally reassembling himself, Buggy urgently turned to Mr. 3.

“Open the door quick! We’ll all fight together! We might still have a chance to escape in the chaos!”

Bon Clay nodded in agreement.

Mr. 3 had no objections either—after all, Vir was easily the strongest among them.

If he went down, they were done.

But just as Mr. 3 reached for the lock—

“Huh?!”

—he froze.

The lock had morphed into a solid, keyhole-less lump.

“What the—?!”

Mr. 3’s jaw dropped.

“I just unlocked this door! How’s there no lock now?!”

Meanwhile, the scene outside wasn’t unfolding as they expected.

The moment the guards saw Vir, their faces twisted in horror.

Sadi-chan’s lips parted slightly.

Hannyabal’s grip on his trident tightened, his expression grave.

Fear radiated from every single one of them.

They knew—

This wasn’t a joke.

1.9 billion berries.

Nobody dared move.

They stared at Vir, tension thick in the air—but not a single soul stepped forward.

Even the bloodthirsty beasts cowered, tails tucked between their legs.

Not one of them dared approach.

They could smell the danger.

How was this guy in the prison?

When did he get in?

Domino was right—this guy actually showed up!

What now?

Magellan wasn’t here yet.

This guy could probably take out everyone here with one move, right?

Hannyabal’s forehead beaded with sweat.

His hands trembled around his weapon, palms slick.

He was drenched in cold sweat.

Yet Vir didn’t move.

He simply leaned against the door, watching the crowd with disinterest.

Buggy blinked in confusion.

“What’s going on? Why do they all look like they’re holding in a really bad poop?”

“They’re sweating bullets! Wasn’t this guy supposed to be Straw Hat’s doctor? Why are they acting like he’s their dad holding a cane?!”

Buggy’s question hung in the air.

But Bon Clay and Mr. 3 had no idea either.

That really was Straw Hat’s doctor!

Then—

*THUD. THUD. THUD.*

Heavy footsteps echoed down the hall.

Accompanied by the sizzling of corrosive liquid.

The moment that sound reached them—

Buggy and the others turned deathly pale.

Oh, hell no.

Now it’s really over.

Big Daddy was here.
