Chapter 2699: Peril (3)

Chapter 2699: Peril (3)

As soon as Bai Ying entered the room, the three elders and Meng Huai’s eyes widened. They immediately recognized her. It was Bai Ying, the White Tiger that had served the Bai Clan.

“Bai Ying!” Elder Feng exclaimed, his voice filled with shock. “You… you’ve recovered?”

Elder Jin’s expression turned grave. “So, it was indeed you. You destroyed the Liang Clan.”

Elder Qin’s eyes narrowed, his gaze fixed on Bai Ying. “How did you recover so quickly? You were severely injured. It’s impossible for you to recover in such a short time.”

The three elders exchanged confused glances. They couldn’t understand how Bai Ying had recovered her strength so quickly. They had witnessed her injuries firsthand. It was impossible for her to recover in such a short time.

While the three elders were still trying to comprehend Bai Ying’s sudden recovery, Meng Huai seemed to have understood something. He looked at Yun Lintian, his eyes filled with a sudden realization.

“It wasn’t Bai Ying,” he murmured, his voice barely audible. “It was him.”

He looked at Yun Lintian. “Are you… Yun Lintian? My daughter spoke of you.”

He tried to calm himself, trying to appear composed. “My daughter said that you entered the Liang Clan manor before the destruction began. Are you the one who destroyed the Liang Clan?”

Yun Lintian looked at Meng Huai, his expression calm and indifferent. “Yes,” he said, his voice clear and steady. “I destroyed the Liang Clan.”

The three elders, hearing Yun Lintian’s words, turned their attention to him. Their expressions turned grave, their eyes filled with a mix of fear and suspicion.

“You?” Elder Feng asked, his voice incredulous. “You destroyed the Liang Clan? How?”

No matter how they looked at Yun Lintian, he was only at the High God Realm. It was impossible to eliminate the entire Liang Clan alone, even with Bai Ying’s help.

Yun Lintian smiled faintly. “Is it necessary to ask this? The outcome is obvious to everyone.”

Elder Jin’s expression turned cold. “You dare to interfere in the affairs of Sunlight City? Do you know the consequences of your actions?”

Although he didn’t know what method Yun Lintian used to destroy the Liang Clan, he was certain that it was impossible for the three of them here to defeat Yun Lintian. Moreover, he had already secretly contacted his Jin Clan.

Yun Lintian chuckled softly. “Consequences? What consequences? Why don’t you tell me?”

Before Elder Jin could respond, Bai Ying stepped forward, her eyes fixed on the three elders. Her aura shifted, her expression turning cold and resolute.

“I will settle the score with you today,” she said, her voice laced with a chilling intensity.

Meng Huai, sensing the impending conflict, quickly raised his hand. “Hold on! Protect the manor! But do not attack Bai Ying! Do not attack!”

He knew that Bai Ying’s wrath was not something they could withstand. He also knew that Yun Lintian was not someone to be trifled with. He had witnessed the destruction of the Liang Clan. He knew that Yun Lintian possessed a power far beyond their comprehension.

The best way for him was to stay out of this and rely on the “trump card” in his hand.

Bai Ying ignored Meng Huai’s words. She gently handed the White Tiger cub to Yun Lintian. “Please take care of her for me.”

Yun Lintian nodded, his expression calm. He held the cub close, his eyes fixed on Bai Ying.

With a soft glow, Bai Ying transformed into her full White Tiger form. Her majestic white fur shimmered with an ethereal light, her eyes burned with a fierce intensity. Her aura, a blend of power and wrath, filled the room, sending shivers down the spines of those who witnessed her transformation.

“You will pay for your sins,” she roared, her voice resonating with a primal authority. She lunged forward, her claws extended, her eyes fixed on Elder Feng.

Elder Feng, sensing the impending attack, quickly raised his arms to block Bai Ying’s claws. But Bai Ying’s power was far greater than he had anticipated. Her claws struck with devastating force, tearing through Elder Feng’s defenses like paper.

Puff!

“Argh!” Elder Feng cried out, his voice filled with agony. He stumbled backward, his arms bearing deep wounds.

Elder Jin and Elder Qin, seeing their comrade injured, quickly moved to attack Bai Ying. Elder Jin unleashed a barrage of fiery attacks, his hands glowing with a crimson light. Elder Qin summoned a whirlwind of icy blades, his eyes filled with a chilling resolve.

Bai Ying, unfazed by their attacks, moved with a speed and agility that belied her size. She weaved through their attacks, her movements fluid and graceful. She struck back with her claws, her teeth, her sheer power.

Elder Jin’s fiery attacks were extinguished by Bai Ying’s lightning aura. Elder Qin’s icy blades were shattered by Bai Ying’s claws.

Bai Ying’s attacks were relentless, her power overwhelming. She struck Elder Jin with her tail, sending him flying across the room. She bit Elder Qin’s leg, tearing through his defenses.

“Argh!” Elder Jin and Elder Qin cried out, their voices filled with pain. They stumbled backward, their legs were torn apart.

Yun Lintian remained indifferent as he looked at Bai Ying. She chose to use her brute force instead of divine energy to deal with her enemies. Clearly, she wanted to make them feel the pain as much as possible.

Suddenly, a powerful pressure descended upon the Meng Clan manor, causing the air to grow heavy and the ground to tremble. Several figures appeared above the manor, their forms radiating an aura of immense power.

These figures were the ancestors of the Jin, Qin, and Feng Clans, each possessing strength at the God Ascension Realm. Their eyes, cold and piercing, fixed on Bai Ying.

“Bai Ying,” a voice boomed, filled with disdain. “You should have stayed hidden. Returning here is nothing short of seeking death.”

“You have recovered? It seems you found a good place to hide, but it’s a pity that you came back.” Another ancestor sneered.

“You think you can take revenge? You are too naive.” The last ancestor said coldly.

The three ancestors’ words were filled with arrogance and contempt. They clearly looked down on Bai Ying, believing that her return was a foolish act.

The three elders breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing this. Their reinforcements had finally arrived.

Bai Ying, her eyes blazing with fury, glared at the ancestors. “All of you have finally come out, huh? Good! I will tear you apart!”
