Chapter 4343  Chase

"Shit!"

I cursed, and my expression became bad. It is the worst thing that could happen.

"Spawns?" she asked.

"And a monster. It is the most powerful one I have sensed!" I replied, and her expression changed.

It is bad, very bad. A monster chasing three Grimms. The weakest of the three Grimms is stronger than the Bullman I had fought.

So, one could imagine how powerful monsters needed to make the Grimms run away with everything they had.

Grimms hate monsters like everything else in the universe, but monsters hate them most. The monsters are more connected to the world; if they sense Grimms, they will attack them.

The monster chasing them is a red bird. One with a dual element law comprehension; it is the second one I have come across in this realm. Both of them are pure offensive, fire, and lightning.

The only reason the Grimms are even alive is due to the leader, Grimm.

This one has the bloodline, and they are the most dangerous, like the bloodlines on our sides. Once one reaches the Prime, their bloodline gives them access to laws.

In Grimms' condition, the ancestral power.

Having a bloodline makes them difficult, and the addition of ancestral power makes them terrifying, especially in places like realms, where they face less suppression than the realm world.

"What do we do?" she asked, clearly scared.

That is a question, I am asking myself. There are three options in front of me.

First, I keep moving as I am right now but given their power. They will likely discover soon. The second is to remove the stealth and run with full power. It would be bad if they decided to chase us.

I don't want anywhere close to the monsters of that bloodline Grimm. Both of them are too dangerous for me.

The third option is a hide. I couldn't hide down below, but we could hide in the clouds. Till now, nobody had been able to sense me through it. Even the monsters that were close to the bird in power.

"We hide," I replied, moving deeper into the cloud before hiding.

I covered both of us with the full power of my stealth and even took out the formation to strengthen its power further.

"Will it work?" she asked, and I wanted to say, 'I don't know.' "It should," I replied with a more confident voice that I was feeling in my heart.

"Still be ready to run if we get discovered," I added.

She nodded, and I could feel her readying herself. I just took a deep breath. All my formations readied to be activated at the moment's notice.

Time passed, and soon, my expressions turned worse. Seeing them toward my direction.

It didn't take long before the most powerful Grimms soul sense fell across me, and with it came the presence of the monsters. Both of them are very strong.

I felt them and was relieved when I didn't sense any one of those not locking on me.

Cry!

That relief was short-lived. Nineteen and a half seconds later, I felt the presence locking on it, with a loud cry coming out of the monster a moment later.

"Run!" I shouted, and the next moment. I burst out of my stealth and ran, taking Kanxin with me, with the power of full burst roaring into me.

Immediately, the Grimms sensed me. I could feel the eyes of all three, including the Foxman and the leaders, who defended against the constant attacks of the bird.

The bird was massive, the biggest monster I had seen in this realm.

Its wing span is over a hundred meters, with its whole-body bathing in deep yellow fire with bluish lightning dancing around it.

I felt it looking at me and prepared for the attack, and it came, but not toward me. It came at the Grimms, which defended against it.

I can see the bird wants to kill me, but it wants to kill the Grimms far more.

That didn't make us safe.

"Fucking bastards. They are leading it toward us!" cursed Kanxin. Seeing the Grimms coming onward us.

I used the full burst at its full power, but I pushed myself harder to get even faster

"Will the destination open the moment we reach it?" I asked Kanxin as I moved with everything I had. "Yes, I have the key to it. I will activate it the moment we appear in its range," she replied.

"Send me a map," I said, and she did it without hesitation.

The woman understands that our lives are stakes here. She could not afford to hesitate, and she did not.

I looked at the map and studied it. I immediately calculated the path and time I would need to reach it, which is less than ten minutes.

It might not seem like much time, but it is when these Grimms will reach us in a few seconds.

Looking at their eyes, they do not have good intentions toward us. They never do, but today, it is especially bad.

We moved as fast as we could, but every second passed. They got closer and closer to us before finally reaching us. I looked at the bird and was relieved that it had eyes only for the Foxman, which relieved me.

However, the other two Grimms didn't hesitate to come toward us.

"This dumb bird is still fixed on us," said Rhinoman, glowing blue horn and icy mist coming from its body. "It hates us more than it hates the people," replied the Crockman before both of them looked toward us.

"Tell us the location of the formation, and it will be painless death!" said Rhinoman.

"Fuck off!" I replied, and anger flashed in its eyes.

Its sword blazed brightly in the cold mist and came toward me. It had just reached near me when it stopped as the shield appeared in front of it.

"Hehe!"

It laughed, seeing it before bringing down its massive icy sword on my shield.

BAMMM!

It crashed against it, and a powerful ripple went across it, which began to slow down on its own before disappearing while it watched in shock.

I don't usually use the shield at the start of the battle. Especially the one that I could fight against.

This one is more powerful than the Bullman. It could make me bloody, but it can't kill me. At least not quickly enough, I fight with my sword against such enemies.

Though, right now, fighting isn't my purpose. It is to survive and run toward the destination.

Using the sword wouldn't be helpful in that.

"Aret, help me deal with these bastards!" said Crockman, which is slightly more powerful.

A moment later, both came at us with their weapons blazing. I could see the deep fear in Kanxin's eyes, but she was experienced and remained.

I looked at two before focusing on the Foxman. It is completely busy against the bird.

It is not letting it rest even for a moment. Attacking it constantly that it will find it very hard to find even a moment to attack.

It made me relieved. Because I am not its match. If it came at me, I would have to use everything I had against it, not just the two shields.
