Chapter 1056: 1056 Esteemed Guests
Wolfe got up to shower, and Risa’s smirk finally cracked, and she began to laugh.
“What’s so funny about me finally getting out of bed?” He asked, caught in her contagious laughter.
“I was going to say that you’ve already succeeded, there is no need to keep breeding them. But then it occurred to me that they would require a few extra minutes so they weren’t greeting Queen Jasmine with cum leaking down their legs, and I couldn’t stop laughing.”
Jasmine was the Queen of the Wrath Demons, a massive woman with a stern disposition, and a penchant for violence that was quite likely unmatched even among the Demon Kingdoms. The mere thought of such a situation was enough to make Wolfe laugh, while the two Witches looked mortified.
“Well, I doubt that Leandro would care, though I do suspect that him and David will be after me to add a few more heirs to the family.”
King Leandro of the Incubi Kingdom had sent his nerdy daughter Dana with Wolfe, and King David of Nephrite had sent his daughter Carmine after Wolfe had repaired the damage to her mana system.
Both of the girls were considered elusive misfits in their home Kingdoms, but they had adapted quickly to Forest Grove, and Dana was a regular of the Library staff, while Carmine had taken to the Advisor’s role as if she were born to it.
Risa just shrugged. “That’s inevitable. That’s why they all agreed to send their Princesses with you, except perhaps Jasmine, as she just sent Nimue with you because the girl wanted to be here.”
Wolfe took the Witches to the shower while Risa continued the updates.
“With the ones that have left, we are up by five hundred mages since yesterday morning. Eighty-seven have left to different villages, and there are pending requests to send multiple mages to Morgana Fortress City, as well as Gormana City and to the Ducal Palace of the Grand Duchies.
The sales numbers for the festival appear to be on track, despite the chaos, with a heavy spike after the announcements last evening.
It is currently slower than average, but most of the city partied all night, so they won’t be up for a few more hours.” She continued, raising her voice to be heard over the shower.
“How are the Representatives taking it? They’re not upset that I didn’t come out to greet them, are they?” Wolfe called as he helped the Witches get clean.
“No, they understand. They only showed up in the morning so that they could do their shopping before they had to do anything serious. Plus, they had to get here before the Royals.
There is no fashionably late if you arrive after your own Queen or King. That’s just late and rude.”
“Alright. We’re on our way out. How formal should we go for the first meetings, or just go all out all day?” Wolfe asked.
“You might as well get everyone fancy. It’s polite to show off a complex magical spell for the Fae Royalty. It tells them that you appreciated their visit enough to put in effort. But they also hope that they won’t see that particular spell combination again in a formal setting.
After all, creativity with magic is the highlight of their days after so many years, and it is very rare that they see something truly new.”
Wolfe chuckled. He might be able to show them something new. Or at least, something that they hadn’t seen in a few centuries.
So, he started with the outfits for Cassie and Ella. Matching floor length gowns with the closest thing Wolfe could create to Faerie dust woven into the cloth, which was white, but enchanted to change the colour of the reflection with the wearer’s emotions.
He wove the dresses out of every single element, including Unholy, with most of the layers focusing on the shimmering opal effect, and then wove a thousand different spell inscriptions into the embroidered trim and lace.
It was all finished off with a simple gold link belt designed to tuck Witch Charm amulets into, showing off the inscriptions with a golden frame.
The ladies laughed as they filled each other’s belts with spells they had made, so Cassie wore Ella’s and Ella wore Cassie’s. That should be a clear enough sign that they were linked, even if the new arrivals had never met them.
By the time that he was finished, Wolfe had needed five thousand layers of inscription for all the spells and dress components, all at Rank Eight, and then a final layer to suppress the incredibly oppressive aura that the dress would otherwise give off, as if they were a weapon of mass destruction.
“What do you think? Enough to impress the Fae Royalty?” Wolfe asked as he changed to his own basic Magi Patriarch Robes.
“It is perfect, and your traditional Magi outfit is the perfect counterpart to make the wonder of their outfits shine even more in comparison. When everything is so incredible, it loses its lustre. But with a simple backdrop, they look like some sort of mythical creature.” Risa gushed.
Risa opened the door and called Millie and Chloe, the twin bodyguards, inside. As they rushed in, the pair of Bloodletters immediately went to inspect the two Witches before pulling them into a hug.
“You look radiant. It’s perfect for a baby announcement. Bloodletters wear the same outfit for every child, and it’s a point of pride to be able to fit into it every time, but I guess that doesn’t matter when this one will always fit perfectly. You should make a hard copy of it, though. Something to show off when you’re not wearing the dress.” Millie suggested, flapping her large white leather wings and nearly knocking everything off the desk.
Wolfe chuckled and made two necklaces, both silver with gemstones that matched the respective Witches’ eyes, aqua blue and violet. The largest central stone got the outfit enchantment placed into it, visible if you looked closely enough at the stone.
“Oh, that is perfect. Just flexing on them.” Chloe announced as her twin gave a silent thumbs up and stared at the gems.
