While Yu Dong was engaged in a fight, Shen Li and the others were not free either. They looked at the Master Cao and felt so angry that they wished that they could skin the mer alive.
“Grandpa Cao, how many times have we told you to not sneak inside our house and steal vegetables! Look at this; you are lucky that we all stopped in time or else you would have been beaten to death by us!” Chen Mi exclaimed, feeling really annoyed by the actions of the mer.
It was bad enough that they had to protect against outsiders but now, because of people like Master Cao and Yu Moqing, they had to take care of even the insiders.
Though the family of Second Grandma Yu was not problematic, everyone had a little trouble, and Master Cao was this very trouble. Not only was he arrogant and boisterous but he was also really fussy and ungrateful.

Her niece was out there fighting a war and instead of caring for her family, her husband was causing trouble for Yu Dong’s husband. “Do you really have to go out and steal? Couldn’t you have just purchased the eggplants in the morning?”
Master Cao didn’t reply to Second Grandma Yu; how could he say that he deliberately did not buy the eggplants as they were too expensive? Even if they were given a discount, these eggplants were still expensive!
How could Second Grandma Yu not see through his thoughts? She was so angry she wished she could beat Master Cao all over again. She turned to look at her daughter and said to her, “Take your father back home; is this not enough of a joke? Look at this; isn’t it humiliating enough for you?”
“Bring him back; he is lucky that he was recognised earlier on; if not, he would have broken a bone or two.”
Second Grandma Yu was filled with rage when she thought about how her husband had thrown her face on the ground. If not for the fact that they were outside and she didn’t want to show her ugly face to the juniors; she would have beaten Master Cao.

Yu Moqing lowered her head and helped her father back home and everyone went home but Second Grandma Yu knew that the next morning everyone would be talking about this matter.
She turned to look at Chen Mi and the rest before saying to them, “I am sorry. We will pay for the damages.”
Shen Li calmly smiled and accepted the apology of Second Grandma Yu but didn’t refuse the compensation. It wasn’t his fault; if he didn’t take Second Grandma Yu’s compensation, then he was worried that Master Cao would come to cause trouble again.
At least as long as he took the compensation from Second Grandma Yu, Master Cao would think twice about causing trouble for them. The last time they let the matter go without taking any compensation, look at this: didn’t that mer cause trouble once again?
Second Grandma Yu didn’t say anything more and asked the mers to go back and sleep.
No one refused her, as the weather was too cold and they were worried that they would freeze to death if they stayed any longer.
As they entered the house, Chen Mi’s gaze fell on the small calendar that he had made on his own and muttered, “I wonder if our wife received the package that we sent her. I hope she is not fighting on an empty stomach.”
When Chen Mi brought up Yu Dong, the already sullen atmosphere turned even more sullen. Shen Li looked at the calendar and said to Chen Mi, “Don’t worry about whether she received the package; worry about whether she is safe.”
“ARGGHHH!”
A woman rolled down her horse as she looked at Yu Dong, who had hurled some strange weapon at her. She growled at Yu Dong, “What have you done to me!?”
Yu Dong stared at the fallen woman. She smiled at the woman and said to her, “Guess?”
The woman hadn’t even digested Yu Dong’s words when suddenly she felt a zap of electricity swipe through her limbs and head straight to her head. The pain was so sharp that it made her entire body shake and tremble.
“ARGH!”
“Arghhh! It hurts so much.”
The dark arts practitioner looked at the woman who was screaming in pain and grimaced. She knew that Yu Dong was a woman with many tricks but she never expected that she was this skilled.
“Hiya!” She whipped the horse that she was riding and rushed towards Yu Dong and behind her followed the beasts who came with her.
Yu Dong raised her sword just in time as the woman sent a beast to attack her.
