GUIDE TO RAISE MY CUTIE HUSBANDS

Chapter 1611 - 1611: Ask Fenhua for help

****************************************************************

“Mother!”

“Shut up! Stop howling, since I have said that the family will separate today then it will separate today no matter what!”

Eldest Sister Jiang and Second Sister Jiang were shocked. The reason they have been so lawless was because they thought that their mother would support them no matter what.

So what if they forced Jiang Mingzhu to support the family while lying that they had no money? They had no idea that such a small matter would lead to the family getting separated.

Master Sang who was watching the show from the side for a long time, understood that Mother Jiang was determined to separate the family. He turned and looked at Master Xiu before snarling unhappily, “Are you happy now? You pushed Third Sister too much, took advantage of those two and kept bullying them. Now look at what you’ve done!”

Master Xiu was already scared over the fact that the family was going to separate. When he heard Master Sang’s reprimand, Master Xiu’s temper flared up. He indignantly turned to look at Master Sang and snapped, “Who are you showing your temper to huh? Did you not take advantage of the two as well? How many times has your wife handed over her salary? How many times have you worked at home?”

“My wife and I did not hand our salary because we are not fools! You don’t want to work, and you don’t want to hand over your salary and yet you want everyone to work for you? Where can you get such a good thing?” Master Sang sneered mockingly.

In fact, he and his wife did not want to do such sneaky things at first but then Eldest Sister Jiang and her husband decided to get more and more lawless with their actions.

Master Sang did not want these two to take advantage of him and his wife which was why he asked his wife to stop handing her salary to Mother Jiang.

He also wanted to do the household work but when he saw that Master Xiu was not doing it, he decided not to do anything either. If Master Xiu was from a high-ranking family, he was too.

Why should he work when Master Xiu was not?

Though it would be difficult for him and his wife to live a comfortable life after they separated from the family, at least they knew how to survive.

Compared to them Eldest Sister Jiang and her husband along with the many children and concubines — heh! It would be good enough if they could even live a decent life after separation with their high expenses and spoiled children.

Soon the yamen officers were called to the Jiang family and the three sisters were separated from the family.

No matter how much Eldest Sister Jiang and her husband made a fuss, Mother Jiang did not budge. She asked the officers to write her terms and conditions on papers and forced her daughters to sign the separation documents.

Once everything was done, she asked her three daughters to leave. Of course, they were allowed to take anything that they wanted from the house but they could not expect her to give money to them.

This was another blow to Eldest Sister Jiang and her husband who thought that Mother Jiang would give them a little money to buy a house or at least give them a house on the outskirts that had a well.

This led to another round of crying but it had nothing to do with Master Deng and Jiang Mingzhu.

The two of them cleaned up and packed anything that could be packed in their luggage before taking their leave.

“Should we go back to my family?” Master Deng asked as the two of them stepped out of the house.

Jiang Mingzhu thought about it and then shook her head. She replied, “It has been only half a year since you married into my family. I don’t want your family to think that I am incapable of raising you.”

What was more she was guilty of letting her brothers-in-law bully her husband. She had no face to look her sisters-in-law in the eye.

“Then how about meeting with Brother Fenhua ?” Master Deng asked as he was reminded of what Jiang Fenhua said to him a few days ago. “I met with him a few days ago and he said that he was willing to help us. Of course, I didn’t accept his help back then but we cannot stay in an inn right?”

With the drought getting worse, even staying at the inn was too expensive.

Jiang Mingzhu wanted to refuse. After all, how could she ask for a married brother for help but then she heard Master Deng say, “Wife, let’s go to Brother Fenhua. We cannot roam around the city for the entire day to look for lodging, can we? Your elder sisters have their connections but I don’t think that anyone will help you if they were to pass the word.”

Though Elder Sister Jiang was not a high-ranking official, she was still higher in position than Jiang Mingzhu.

Thus, even if she could not make Jiang Mingzhu lose her job, she could still make things troublesome for her.

Jiang Mingzhu pursed her lips, though she wanted to refuse, she knew her sister too well.

Even though the one who separated the family was ultimately their mother, Eldest Sister Jiang could not do anything to their mother which was why she would definitely push all the blame on Jiang Mingzhu.

Thus, even though Jiang Mingzhu did not want to trouble Jiang Fenhua, when she thought about how her husband had suffered alongside her for so long —

She gritted her teeth and said to Master Deng, “Let’s go. We will ask Fenhua for a place to stay and take care of the rest of the matter by ourselves.”

Master Deng had nothing against this suggestion so he agreed with his wife.

On the other side, Yu Dong was returning home with a large silver carp.

*********

Yu Dong wanted to go back and make some nourishing soup for her husbands. Though they got a fresh delivery of seafood whenever they wanted, Yu Dong still liked catching fish whenever she had time.

She also caught a bunch of small fish while fishing at the shore and decided to use these small fish to make pickled fish. The bones of these fish were not too strong and with the right condiments and preparations the bones of these fish could be softened.

This way even Yu Mai and the rest of the kids could eat them without any trouble.

She turned to look at Fourth Brother Shen and asked him, “How was it? Did you like catching fish?” She had brought Shen Li’s youngest brother as he was in a bad mood in the morning.

It all started because Yu Mai showed off his skills in cooking. He was already turning eleven and was learning how to cook. Who would have thought that Yu Mai was so talented in cooking that he would learn everything that Chen Mi taught him?

He also cooked breakfast earlier in the morning which included three dishes and one soup.

Fourth Brother Shen who had tried boiling water last night as he wanted to cook some noodles but failed as the noodles turned mushy received quite a blow in the morning.

So, Yu Dong brought him with her to cheer him up.

“I am happy!” Fourth Brother Shen nodded happily and seeing him smile Yu Dong also smiled at the same time she decided to speed up the process of building the school.

She wanted to teach these mers that just cooking, sewing and embroidering well did not mean anything. The world was wide and they could do something much greater than just these household chores.

‘Maybe I will ask the second princess to change the laws a little?’ Yu Dong thought with a frown on her face. She knew it would be a bit hard but wouldn’t it be better for the nation if mers could also become an official?

With that thought in her head, she returned home but as soon as she walked over—

“You bastard! You really have no shame, do you? Your wife hasn’t even died for three months and you are already out here seducing women?”

Yu Dong: “…”

She looked up at the sky and then rubbed her eyes.

“What wrong sister in law?” Fourth Brother Shen asked as he looked at Yu Dong who seemed tired.

“It’s nothing. I was just asking the heavens if I could have a single day of peace,” Yu Dong sighed as she turned to look at the commotion. But no sooner did she turn her head, than she saw her husbands standing outside the house, and every single one including Shen Li was peering out of the gates.

Clearly, they wanted to sip the hot tea that was being served to them.

“I didn’t do anything! Sob sob sob! Just because your wife came to help me in need you are calling me all kinds of names. Is there any justice in this world? Sob!” Another voice rang out as Yu Dong carried Fourth Brother Shen home. “Why should I be beaten up like this over a small bowl of rice?”

“Pah! He is such a liar, I know very well that Lin Qiong handed him more than a bowl of rice,” Chen Mi who was munching on the sunflower seeds commented while stretching his neck and looking at the drama.

“I know right? I definitely saw more than a bowl. It had to be three catties,” said Fang Chi while peering out of the door just like Chen Mi.

“What in the world are you all doing?” Yu Dong asked as she looked at the mers who were stretching their necks like ostriches. Why didn’t she know that her husbands were such gossipy mers?

No sooner did she finish speaking, every single one of them turned to do the thing that they had in hand as if they were not looking out of the door just now.

Yu Dong: “…”

Did they all take her as blind?

“Ahem, it’s nothing,” seeing that Yu Dong was not fooled (of course she wasn’t, he was cutting onions at the gates of the Yu family house after all), Chen Mi relayed the matter to Yu Dong, “Its like this, you know the new mer? Fu Yun? He came with his wife a few months ago after they escaped from the drought and refugees at their village.”

“What about him?” Yu Dong asked with a frown. She of course had no idea who this Fu Yun was but given that her husband was so eager to share the gossip with her, she was supposed to know who it was, even if she did not.

She learned the hard way to never stop her husbands from spilling the tea. Especially when it was hot.

“His wife died a few months ago,” said Chen Mi in a hushed whisper. “And now he is going around seducing well-to-do women. He would do anything to get a few grains of rice or catties of meat. I heard that many women sneak in his house late at night and he serves them all.”

“Isn’t it shameful?”

“Yeah,” Yu Dong nodded as she was supposed to agree. She paused and asked, “Is the mer that pretty?”

No sooner did she finish speaking, all five mers turned to look at her causing Yu Dong’s hair to rise at the end.

“What—Why are you looking at me like that?” Yu Dong asked with a troubled and confused expression.

“Why did you ask that mer is pretty or not?” Ye Liu asked as he pointed the knife in his hand with which he was skinning the chicken. “Is having a harem of your own not enough for you now that you want to go for a shameless mer as him?”

Yu Dong felt so wronged that she looked up at the sky.

“Why are you looking at the sky?” Shen Li asked with a frown.

“I am waiting.”

“For what?”

“For snow to fall in summer.”

She was after all more wronged than Dou E!
