FIRST DEMONIC DRAGON

Chapter 871 - 871: Beauty and Lethality

Lailah could count on exactly one hand the number of times that she had lost control of a subordinate.

0.

The soldiers of the Bright Legions were particularly loyal, but perhaps due to Lailah’s frightening demeanor, everyone was always extra careful to heed every word she said to the letter.

If she instructed her men not to speak, they probably wouldn’t breathe either so that they didn’t risk making noise.

Instances like that were actually fairly common for her.

So as she watched Kirina move forward while drawing her weapon, all against her orders, she was more perplexed than she was angry.

The maternal instinct for dragons was a frighteningly powerful drive.

Kirina to her credit had sat still for as long as she could while Kronos had disrespected Lailah consistently.

But there was a threshold to Kirina’s patience that she ended up reaching sooner rather than later.

As she drew her blade, Lailah noticed the air vibrate with a power she was very familiar with.

‘Since things somehow turned out like this…’ Lailah glanced at Darius.

The dwarven dragon was sending a wink to a couple of Mayan goddesses when he turned back to her- clearly embarrassed.

His eyes pleaded and said ‘Please don’t tell the lad about this’.

Her eyes said ‘I’m texting him as soon as I get a moment to myself.’

Darius hung his head low as he envisioned the embarrassing roast that would follow in the aftermath of his return home.

Grasping the gist of what Lailah initially wanted, he reached inside of his dimensional storage and pulled out a large scythe even taller than he was.

“Catch, dunderhead.” He hurled the sickle at Kronos like a boomerang.

The ruler of the Greek pantheon barely managed to catch the weapon as it flew into his grasp.

His bloodshot eyes briefly glimmered with madness as he felt the power coursing through the nightmarish weapon.

Since he was clearly not in his right mind, Hades decided to step forward and attempted to prevent any further displays of violence.

He held up his hands to dissuade Kirina while she walked toward him, sword drawn.

“Look, it is our loss today. Please, there’s no need to make this any worse and-“

“Out of my way, boy.”

Kirina smacked Hades over the head with the flat side of her blade and his body crumpled like a tin foil can.

In the stands, Persephone screamed embarrassingly and fainted in the lap of her mother.

Demeter just chuckled and pulled on a pair of sunglasses to watch the show.

Kirina was now only a few paces away from Kronos and she showed no signs of slowing down.

Her black metal mask was that of a vengeful, horned spirit. And with her glowing violet eyes underneath, she created a rather frightening picture to behold.

“Get on your knees and hold out your arms. I will take them both first since you dared to show discourtesy in the face of my Empress today.”

Infatuated by the power of his new weapon, Kronos was nearly drunk on it.

“Amusing! I was about to say the same to you!”

Kronos held out his hand and a beam of cyan energy was fired from his fingertips.

Kirina held out her sword and its thin shape somehow protected her fully from the brunt of the attack- much to Kronos’ dismay.

However, he was by far more unnerved when he saw her weapon remained in good condition.

“Your hold on the power of time feels amateurish.”

Kirina flicked her wrist and the entire beam was dissipated, surprisinging Kronos.

She held her unbelievably long sword out in front of herself and let its shining black and silver luster be admired by all.

“This is Harmony. Just as my emperor withstands the test of time, so too will she. Her edge may never rust or corrode as long as there are enemies to be felled.”

Kronos cared little. “So you have a toy devoid of any other significance than it’s edge! What does it matter if it will not scratch me!?”

Kronos lunged forward and twirled his new weapon overhead.

With one massive downward cleave, his force was enough to split an entire stretch of land in two with just one swing.

Kirina drew the sheath for harmony with her free hand and used its bluntness to black the point of the weapon aimed at her.

Though she had a very thin, and feminine arm, miraculously her body stood up against the strength of one of the original twelve titans with no real difficulty.

But Kronos couldn’t have cared less.

“I am the master of all time! The true lord of the universe!!!”

Kirina was suddenly wrapped in a large bubble, approximately the size of an inflatable bounce house.

The dragoness suddenly noticed that the air around her was different. It was almost like she had been cast into a mold that didn’t leave any room for her to move about.

But Kronos seemed uninhibited.

He drew back his scythe with a wicked look in his eye, and prepared to cut her apart freely while she stood there immobilized.

His blade sailed into her unprotected stomach.

Dark, black blood flowed from her wound like a fountain, coating the blade and splashing against Kronos’ toga.

He smiled wickedly as he reached for her metal mask and ripped it away.

But as soon as he did so, he was absolutely gobsmacked.

Standing in front of him was without a doubt one of the most beautiful women he had ever graced his eyes with.

She was ethereal. A porcelain-skinned beauty with defined cheekbones, full lips lined in dark lipstick, and distinguished lines around her face that didn’t distract from her divine looks, but further enhanced them and made her look like mature perfection.

A shock of black hair tumbled down her back as soon as she was unmasked. Coming all the way down to the floor around her feet.

He had never seen a goddess with looks this divine.

Aphrodite? A joke. Freya? Nothing in comparison. Even Nyx didn’t measure up on her best day with her cleavage out for the world to see.

The only ones who could be said to be her better were the two who were sitting right at the table a few feet away.

But by far, the most staggering thing about her was her small, pursed smile.

It was so enticing that he wanted to see more of it. He never questioned why it was happening.

Until he heard some unsettling wet sound.

Looking down, he saw the black blood staining his weapon and the floor. It was moving and thickening… almost as if it was becoming curdled.

Before he realized what was happening, the splotches of blood that had spilled onto his tunic had shifted into sharp, miniature javelins that impaled him with zero resistance.

“Y-You dare!?” Kronos screamed and the bubble surrounding them broke.

Confused murmurs slipped from the mouths of the crowd as they watched Kronos suddenly become injured. They’d merely blinked, and now he had several implements dotting along his stomach.

Kronos stumbled back and used his weapon to support him.

While he was plucking thorns out of his sides, Kirina held out her hand and recalled her helmet back to her grasp.

As she slipped her helmet back over her face, her icy words chilled her enemy to the bone.

“The nerve of you to unmask me without my permission. A barbarous cretin to your very core, aren’t you?”

Kronos rewound time on his body to heal his wounds.

With the spires now removed from his body, but the memory of the pain that they caused lingering, the spell of Kirina’s beauty was completely broken at once.

“My patience for tricks is low, wench! I will see you-“

All of a sudden, Kronos noticed the gaping wound in her stomach worming about.

In a gross turn, all of the black blood pooling from Kirina’s stomach was thickening just as it had before he got stabbed a moment ago.

Only now, the tendrils of blood were taking the shape of miniature dragons over nine feet long and as thick as telephone poles.

They roared so loudly that Kronos’ eardrums burst and drew blood.

He took a weary step back as the nightmare of a woman kept coming forward.

“Oh my… it seems I’m more upset than I thought. I may end up losing control, so do your best not to bite the dust too early, okay?”

In a twist that Kronos wasn’t expecting, Kirina raised her sword to her neck and cut off her own head.
