Chapter 3508: No More
Roan closed his eyes, and everyone went silent for a while. Finally, he opened them again, getting up and turning in CAU03’s direction. "We still have a lot to do. Let’s talk."
As Roan spoke, Rean took the broken parts from Qwerty, sending them into the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm. Rean noticed something after Qwerty lost his sentience code. When the robot’s body didn’t have it, it was possible to send it into the Pocket Dimensional Realm. He wondered why that happened. In any case, it just didn’t feel right to leave them there. Then, he followed Roan and CAU03, as well as the SANS-G Units.
Not long after, the Sect Elders and the Sect Master also arrived, now aware of what happened. "Qwerty made a rule that put you two in command?"
The twins nodded. "That he did, although we don’t know why. The idea was to simply eliminate the Loyalty-Ensuring Code, after all. CAU03, 431, do you two know why he did this?"
Both CAU03 and 431 had no idea. "We thought that was your idea."
Roan shook his head. "We have never given Qwerty that order. First of all, we couldn’t give him any others whatsoever. That collar of yours made the Loyalty-Ensuring Code and the Master-Servant connection meaningless. Qwerty could do whatever he wanted."
CAU431 knew that as he was the one who gave Qwerty the collar. "I know, so if you didn’t ask him to do that, I can only guess he decided it on his own. The point is that we are under your rule because of this new code."
"Well, not exactly under their rule," SANS-G03 spoke on the side. "The code indeed makes it impossible for us to betray these two living beings, and I can’t say I’m very happy with this arrangement since we don’t have a very good history with living beings. However, the code also ensures we don’t need to do anything by force. It’s more of a mutual understanding code. We treat you well, and as long as you also treat us right, we will never do bad by you."
Roan and Rean liked that more. "That’s much better. In any case, CAU03, SANS-G03, can you guys open a connection to all robots in the network? We have something to say."
CAU03 and SANS-G03 looked at each other and nodded. There were still many things to discuss. It wasn’t like both sides could just be best buddies out of nowhere. Nonetheless, they would have to work together from now on. "It’s open. Whatever you two speak here will be transmitted to all the robots in the Evernight World."
The twins knew exactly what they wanted to say. "To all robots, both Rick and Morty have absolutely no interest in taking control over you or becoming your leader. First of all, we will be leaving soon, and it is very likely we will never come back. That said, do not worry too much about this new code Qwerty added to your cores. If you can, you can even delete it, just like the CAU Units did with the Loyalty-Ensuring Code. There will be no retaliation. Thank you, and we hope you can rebuild your life as you see fit."
CAU03 and SANS-G03 were taken aback. To think the twins would relinquish their little authority that easy. Well, that also proved Qwerty wasn’t wrong in having added that code. Sure, perhaps the robots would be able to delete it in the future, but that would be a long process. The Loyalty-Ensuring Code took millions of years to be dealt with by the CAU Units, and this new one shouldn’t be any different. So, having received those words meant a lot to all robots.
"That’s good and all," Abi took the chance to speak. "However, we only helped because we wanted the robots’ help as well. Our sect is pretty much gone, and we wish to rely on the technology here to rebuild it."
CAU03 was aware of what the Divine Snow Mountain Sect wanted. "You are welcome to stay as long as you want. Besides, we already shared how our system works with Rick and Morty’s group. You can take your time to learn, and it should be even better now that you will have access to the city yourself. However, that doesn’t mean we will become your subordinates or anything. This is going to be, at most, a friendly partnership. If you wish for something more, then we will have to ask you to leave."
Surprisingly, both CAU and SANS Units in the room completely agreed with what CAU03 said. No one had anything to add.
Abi smiled, she didn’t want anything else to start with. Of course, if she could take the robots as hers, she would do it. Unfortunately, they have sentience, so that was out of the question. She could only offer them to join her sect, not force them. Not to mention, they have the SANS-G Units, which are as strong as her and her Core Elders.
Abi extended her hand. "We couldn’t ask for more."
CAU03 and SANS-G03 shook hands with her, knowing this was a common exchange when deals were concluded in the living beings’ world. "We will also rely on your technology of formations and more to understand the outside world."
"Our entire sect is still just outside the city. You can learn a lot with the information in the databases there," Abi suggested, showing that she was willing to help back.
Roan was quite satisfied with that exchange between both sides. If they truly wanted to get the most from each other over a long period of time, the best was, without a doubt, a friendly and open exchange. Both their futures were on the line, and they understood that. "Rick and I won’t intervene with anything. We will probably leave in the next few days. Sect Master, what will you do?"
Abi, by now, understood that the twins weren’t normal. "Say... why did you even join our sect? Your strength, methods, experience... I was proud to have the strongest sect of the Divine Snow World. Yet, I feel like not even my sect was on par with your talents. It’s like you had seen much, much more than your cultivation says."
Rean didn’t deny that last part. "Indeed, we have seen much more, and compared to all the things we have been through, this sect of yours does occupy a very small part that isn’t all that impressive. We can’t speak much more than this, though. As for the reason for joining, it was first for cultivation and second for using your escaping plan to leave the Divine Snow World. That’s all."
"Sigh..." Abi nodded. "Then I shall ask no more."
