Chapter 3501: Production Units

Going twenty or so minutes back to the past when those new Space-Time Units just appeared...

Ever since Rean returned from the sect with the elders, he had not been present in any of the battles. In fact, the only time he appeared for the SANS Units was when he arrived with the sect several months ago and then made his escape with his group. Above all, Rean’s Domain was pretty useless in this place, so his presence, even though he was relatively strong, had never been considered that dangerous compared to Roan and Celis.

The reason he never appeared in the attacks was simple, he was back in the CAU Units headquarters, working on the new device with Zangeshu and the CAU robots. So, he didn’t have time to help Roan there, but it also turned out to be a good thing.

Rean used the device he created with Zangeshu, and together with his Light Bending Skill, he completely disappeared from sight. The device itself was quite big, at least one meter measured from all sides, and looked like a box. What was so special about this device that it took over half a year of constant work to create?

Well, two SANS Units making their way into the Zoshia Enterprise Building’s front door could probably answer that question. They carried a box, which the SANS Units guarding the entrance checked closely.

Several lights flashed from one of the guard SANS units, analyzing that box before it nodded at the two SANS Units holding it. "So you managed to get some, uh? Bring it to the Repairing Center."

The two SANS Units accepted the order, but not before one of them made a question. "We have been tasked with gathering materials for repair and maintenance, so we only know what is happening from the information in the network. Do you know how the fighting is going, friend?"

The guard unit shrugged. "There is no need to worry. The SANS-G Units are now out, and they have just started to attack the CAU Units. They are completely closed in the city barrier, so there is no way out for them anymore. Today, we will take them down."

The lights on the spherical face of that SANS Units showed an excited expression. "The SANS-G Units?! That’s incredible! Was it really necessary to go that far?"

"Ha! What do you know?" The guard snorted. "We have a HAF100 to take care of, remember? Nothing is too much when that thing is out there. Now, stop wasting time and go to the repairing center. We have plenty of Units arriving with broken parts that need replacement straight away so they can return to the fight."

"Understood!" That SANS Unit nodded. "Thank you for the information."

The guards opened the door, and those two made their way to the inside. They weren’t the only ones. Now and then, some similar SANS Units arrived carrying similar boxes and brought them to the repair center. After Roan took over the manufacturing facilities, these groups were organized to check the rest of the city for any spare parts that those facilities produced.

Not only that, but even though Roan’s CAU Units took over a hundred of those facilities, there were still a small few that could be used on the other sides of the city. Roan’s CAU Units were still far below in numbers, so they couldn’t occupy everything. If they tried, it would be easy for the SANS Units to surround and get rid of them before Roan could arrive there with Celis.

Of course, with such intense days, especially due to the constant bombardment, those few facilities that could be used simply couldn’t make enough parts for all the damage. Every single box of materials and spare parts was carried to the Zoshia Enterprise straight away, and they were used as soon as they got there. It was very similar to what Roan did with the CAU Units, fight, break, run, repair, return, fight again.

As those two SANS Units passed through a corridor, another door appeared, leading to a different place in the building. The two of them nodded, and the one in front extended his finger. A small cable came out of it, connecting to the door’s electronic lock while his other hand touched the box behind him.

The box itself seemed to work, and the SANS Unit seemed to make a bridge between it and the door lock. In a matter of seconds, the door lock was released, and the two SANS Units got inside.

In that place, Light Element shifted a little, and those two SANS Units appearances suddenly changed. One of them turned into a white-haired young man, while the other was still a Robot but from a different model, a model known as HAF100.

Without a doubt, those two were Rean and Qwerty!

"Holy shit! I can’t believe it worked!" Qwerty couldn’t help but speak. "Rick, why did you have to stop to talk to those guards at the entrance? My core almost stopped working there."

"Hahaha!" Rean laughed out loud but used his Divine Energy to make sure the sound wouldn’t go anywhere it shouldn’t. "That’s part of the disguise. Looking concerned about the battle is just the normal thing to do. Don’t forget, even the SANS Units have sentience, although they are bound by the loyalty-ensuring code. I observed with my Divine Sense for quite a while, and it is not like the SANS Units don’t talk to each other."

Qwerty was still nervous... although his robot body doesn’t really have nerves. "Just... warn me next time. So, what now?"

Rean connected to Roan and read the memories he made available. Just now, the first SANS-G Units, those who used the Cores and Dantians of living being experts, had just started the attack against the CAU Units.

"Seems like we still have time," Rean spoke, and then he took out a device to check the blueprints of the Zoshia Enterprise... Or, to be more specific, the blueprints from the time CAU03 lived in the city. "Seems like the paths hadn’t changed so far. If that’s the case, we need to go that way."

Rean’s Light Element changed again, and by using the box’s special abilities, both he and Qwerty looked exactly like any other SANS production unit under all types of examination. There goes another reason Rean needed access to the robots’ technology, to know how the city’s security system worked and avoid it with both the Celestial Soul System’s power and the knowledge acquired. The box was capable of using both at the same time! As for the one controlling it, it was Zangeshu, directly from the Dimensional Realm.
