Chapter 3498: Too Many!

Surprisingly, that was also the number of Space-Time Realm experts that survived in the hidden location of the sect back then. Abi, Silveria, Yun, and another two Core Elders called Grant and Romulo. They didn’t all come forward to intercept the five robots, though. Only three of them, Silveria, Yun, and Romulo, took the front.

Abi and Grant stayed behind, first wanting to see what those robots were capable of. Celis mentioned that they have a huge concentration of Divine Energy in their cores, but does that translate to strength? One couldn’t be sure. Besides, what if they are actually bombs or something like that? It was better to not send all the elders at once at first.

’Celis,’ Roan talked to him. ’follow the elders and use your domain from afar. If you see they are truly at the Space-Time Realm level, prioritize your safety. Enter the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm if you feel any danger and come out at Kentucky’s side.’

Celis could feel the seriousness of Roan’s words, nodding and following the elders and the various CAU Units. That had to be the case since there were too many SANS Units. If Celis wasn’t there with his Domain, it wouldn’t matter what the elders of the sect could do; the SANS Units would destroy the rest of the CAU Units by simply swarming them.

’Rifindio, you go too, but you stay further behind just to give Celis cover in case he gets himself into danger,’ Roan asked. ’Remember, you can’t enter our Dimensional Realm without our help. Using your own pocket dimensional realm is out of the question since you will leave its entrance to the real world behind. They can simply strike it and make your pocket dimensional realm collapse from the outside. You will be as good as dead at that point.’

’I know what to do. As long as I ascertain Celis escaped safely, I should retreat straight away,’ Rifindio commented, moving forward and keeping his distance from Celis.

CAU03 looked at that, and he couldn’t help but feel a little tense, so he decided to join the front. "I should also go ahead and help them. I’m not as strong as those Space-Time Realm experts of your sect, but I’m pretty close."

"No," Roan shook his head. "I need you here to command the CAU Units."

"Are you going anywhere?" CAU03 asked, surprised.

Roan didn’t answer that. "I need you here because you are the symbol of the CAU Units and their cause. If something happens to you, the morale will fall. You must understand your position. Even though I’m the one in command, you are their pillar of support. Only leave this place if it is absolutely necessary. Otherwise, you should stay here and support them."

CAU03 usually never participated in any attacks. He was quite an old unit, even by the earliest CAU Units’ standard. Besides, he only took part in attacks recently where Roan was in command, and only when Roan was certain there were no risks for CAU03. That was also the case just a few days ago, when they invaded the city. Roan was pretty certain that CAU03 could join the attack without any repercussions. Now, however, with those new units advancing and the huge army, he couldn’t risk CAU03’s well-being.

Back at the front, the CAU Units finally met the SANS Units halfway to the center of the city. As one could expect, there was no conversation, and the fight started almost instantly.

Romulo, Silveria, and YUn immediately spread their Domains... just for their Domains to be nullified immediately!

"What?!" Neither of the three understood what happened. They were deploying their Domains, but it was as if something was sucking all of their Domains’ powers before they could go as far as a few meters away from their bodies.

Then, they noticed that the five new SANS Units leading the SANS Army were shining. As they did, the city below them seemed to resonate with them. It only took a moment for the three Space-Time Elders to understand that those new units seemed capable of controlling the city security system way better than its automatic behavior so far.

Roan narrowed his eyes at the back. "Sure enough, it never made much sense to me that the SANS Units couldn’t control the Zoshia Enterprise Security System. They had millions of years in there."

CAU03 was amazed to see that. Not because the elders’ Domains were being countered, but because the city’s security system was also affecting his own CAU Units. He truly believed no one could touch the security system’s original codes. Even he couldn’t circulate the Divine Energy in his core completely, having around 30% of his capacity restricted while the security system worked. "Not good! We must retreat!"

Roan snorted. "Retreat where? Look behind you."

CAU03 immediately turned his attention to the back, and he would have probably fainted if he could. The city barrier suddenly changed as well. Several layers were added to the layer of the original barrier. If just one was already that hard to break, what about many more of them? Running away? That was obviously out of the question! "What do we do now?!"

"Have you forgotten your own words? There is no way back anymore, so the barrier behind us doesn’t mean much. Don’t worry," Roan didn’t seem concerned. "There is a reason I never trusted your words regarding the capabilities of the SANS City. No one in my group did."

’Energy Draining Domain!’

Suddenly, Celis’s Domain expanded, and not even the city’s security system seemed capable of stopping it. If anything, the city’s security system was acting as if Celis’s Domain couldn’t be touched. Soon, the entire area around the CAU Units was plunged into Celis’s Domain, causing the many SANS Units that came to attack them to start losing energy nonstop. As for the allies, they were freed from the effects of the security system.

"This..." The more CAU03 learned about the twins’ group, the more confused he got. "How is Celis’s Domain not affected by the security system?"

There was indeed a reason for that... Celis’s Domain was better! The SANS Units were using the security system to absorb all the power of the elders’ domains. However, what was Celis’s Domain ability? Absorption! So, it was all about who was better at that job, the security system or Celis. Well, that wasn’t even a competition. "What are all of you looking at?!" Celis shouted with the help of his Divine Energy. "Attack now while my Domain is working!"

The elders of the sect woke up from their stupor and immediately charged at the five SANS Units, their domains activating once again. It’s just that their own Domains couldn’t go further than Celis’s own Domain Range. Whatever went past that was caught be the system’s security system. They could only fight inside Celis’s Domain Range.

The same happened with the CAU Units, who attacked the SANS Units trapped in Celis’s Domain. They had to use that surprise to reduce the number of enemies as fast as possible.

There was a problem, though. The same problem that had always been present. There were too many SANS Units!
