Chapter 3460: Another Path
"There is no doubt, this one is a few kilometers below us," Celis commented, looking at the Device in his hand.
Roan jumped from Kentucky’s back, quickly accumulating his Divine Energy and using it to control the Earth Element. It was better to use Divine Energy since it was easy to get instead of using Sky Energy, which needed Starlight Energy to be made.
Rean and Celis did the same, followed by Kentucky, who went back to his humanoid form. The four of them worked together, opening the way further down. There wasn’t anything there in that canyon other than some weak Demon Beasts, so the way down was smooth and tranquil.
Finally, the ground below caved in, and their group fell into a big cave. No, that wasn’t exactly a cave. Instead, it was a spherical, giant room created by the sudden apparition of the Pseudo Temporal Path.
Rean then used his Light Element to illuminate the surroundings, and they could easily see the crack in space that seemed slightly unstable. They had seen a Temporal Path and a Pseudo one before, so they were certain this was the same thing. Above all, Rean could feel the rich amount of Light Element coming out of it, proof it was most likely connected to the Heavens. "Great! It seems a little bit unstable, but not to the point it will collapse anytime soon."
Celis, who had stayed in Lisan for longer, had helped the Lisan Forces to look for those Temporal Paths, so he knew them even better. "From what I can see, it will take around 12 to 13 years for this Pseudo Temporal Path to collapse. Still..."
Right after, he made a few seals in the air with his Divine Energy, which quickly entered his device. The White Crystal instantly brightened, and a ray of White Light Shot into the crack. That ray of light interacted with the Light Element passing through the crack and its insides. Soon, the instability of the crack seemed to reduce slowly, and in just a few minutes, that crack looked as sturdy as one could ever hope for.
Finally, Celis positioned the ring device on the ground, creating a base for it to stay still. As long as no one came here, it would keep the Pseudo Temporal Path stable indefinitely. "You can leave a few Divine Stones around the device, and it will use the stone’s Divine Energy to keep the path stable."
Rean waved his hand, and a hundred Rank Four Divine Stones fell around that device. "This should be enough for at least a few days."
That reminded Rean of something. "By the way, Celis. Do you still have the Divine Origin Energy Cores? We have acquired quite a lot of Rank Seven Divine Stones, but they are nowhere near as good as the Cores we used in the past."
Celis sighed in response. "I wish I had. However, after I reached the Peak Stage of the Divinity Realm, there wasn’t anything else for me to do, so I left them in the Soul Gem Dimensional Realm. If I were to ever have a breakthrough, it would happen there, and the connection to the Chaos Source would make it even better. Now I wish I had kept them in my Pocket Dimensional Realm."
"Well, I guessed as much," Rean spoke back, not feeling surprised. If Celis still had the cores, he would have told them a long time ago.
"Anyway, should we enter? Also, should we keep someone behind to protect the entrance?" Rean asked, changing the topic.
Roan shook his head, though. "The worst thing that could happen to us is to get separated. That would inhibit our cultivation progress a lot. Even if we end up locked in the Heavens, it will still be better if we are together at that moment than separated."
Suddenly, Kentucky came down from the hole they used to reach this place. "Alright, I covered the entrance completely. No one should notice the hole we opened here."
"That’s good," Roan nodded. "Let’s all go back to the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm. Rean should enter the crack alone since he has the right affinity. That will also prevent us from getting separated for whatever reason."
No one complained, and they all entered the Dimensional Realm. Naturally, Celis met the other three guys there, Rifindio, Zangeshu, and Sister Orb.
[It’s been a while, Celis.]
Celis nodded. "We are together again, it seems. And these two here, are they as good as Rean said?"
[Of course!] Sister Orb quickly floated to Rifindio’s side. [This one here, for example, was once the Universe Owner’s plaything! Would you want anything better?]
Rifindio’s mouth twitched. "Fuck you! Who is a plaything! That Mist Library was obviously full of shit!"
Celis shrugged. "A plaything, uh? Guess we can’t wish for much..."
"Don’t go around accepting everything the weird Orb says!" Rifindio wanted to cry already.
"Hahaha!" Kentucky laughed out loud. "It’s just a joke, man. But hey, don’t forget Zangeshu... uh? Where did he go?"
[He was here a second ago, but when the jokes started, he went back to his runes. That boy is no fun. Look! Even Roan has already left. I say, Zangeshu must be Roan’s long-lost child. That’s the only explanation.]
Outside, Rean watched everything with his senses and shook his head. ’Just what are they even doing...’
Nonetheless, Rean put those thoughts behind them and threw himself into the Pseudo Temporal Path. It was very different from when he took the Pseudo Temporal Path to reach the other side of the Lisan Universe. The device Celis brought had truly stabilized it to a fault. It was pretty much a Spatial Gate made by a high-level expert. No signs of instability at all.
Roan and the others watched from within the Dimensional Realm as Rean traversed the Temporal Path. Just like in Lisan Universe, the journey through it took several hours, but it ultimately reached its end, with Rean jumping out of the path in midair. "So much Light Element..."
