Chapter 3445: Empty

Rean touched the robot again, but it was then that he remembered something. If he really used Roan’s Dark Element, his hair would change colors. It happened the first time Rean used Roan’s Dark Element in the robot, but because he only used a tiny, tiny bit of it, only a few strands changed, not enough to catch anyone’s attention. If he went all out now, then his hair would truly become a mix of black and white that he couldn’t hide without preparation.

Also, there was no way Lotan would believe Rean was using Yin Energy to gather the Dark Element. They definitely would notice the disparate with their Divine Senses.

"Ahem..." Rean stopped just in time. "I don’t think it is a good idea."

"Why?" Lotan and Martinius asked at the same time.

"Because the little bit I used earlier barely caused the robot to react, and that was already pretty much my full power. It’s hard to control Dark Element with our affinities, and you know that," Rean explained.

Lotan narrowed his eyes, but he had to admit Rean was right. Rean was only in the Void Tempering Realm, while Dark Element was the opposite of his affinity. "That’s not good..."

"I do have an idea, though," Rean suddenly added. "Would you mind letting my brother come here?"

"Right!" Lotan remembered Roan. He had kept a close eye on Rean all this time, especially when he was out on missions for the sect. He knew they were twins, yet Roan was a Dark Element Affinity cultivator. How did that come to be? He didn’t care. The world of cultivation was just like that; many weird things could happen. "I will have him sign the contract, though. Are you certain?"

Rean obviously didn’t refuse. "There is no problem. Besides, it will be good to finally be able to share with him the information regarding this escape plan. Last but not least, if this thing needs the same level of purity, then my twin brother is definitely the best choice to match me." Let’s not forget that Rean supposedly never told anyone about it.

’Come here and help me activate this thing. It will be better if they don’t know we can exchange elements,’ Rean contacted Roan while Lotan sent his subordinates after him.

Roan came out of his house, already prepared for that. ’Good. Let me take a close look at this robot or whatever.’

Sure enough, an elder came to fetch Roan, and after he signed the Soul Binding Contract, he was brought into that secret area.

"Brother! Good to see you!" Rean opened his arms with a happy expression.

’If you hug me, I swear I will kill you,’ Roan spoke back through their connection, threatening him.

’Hahaha!’ to which Rean laughed out loud. Of course, he wouldn’t really do that.

Roan approached the robot, staring at it for a moment. "So we need to work together, is it?"

"That’s the idea," Lotan commented behind, expectation all over his face. "Don’t worry, though. Even if you fail, we at least have three working ones."

Roan nodded, touching the robot’s chest. Rean, obviously, followed suit. They might hate each other, but there was probably no better synchronization in existence than these two. They sent exactly the same amount inside at the same time. It was a perfect balance.

*Plin! ZuoooooooOOOOO...*

*Vush!*

A burst of Dark and Light Element came out of the robot, followed by rich Divine Energy. The robot began to shine, and all its hair-like strands floated, giving it quite an ethereal feeling. It was like a small kid floating... with a sphere-like head, that is. Not to mention the metallic color.

Several lines of green light ran through the robot’s body, all following straight and circular patterns. The lights ran through those paths, outlining those patterns even more.

*Zin!*

Suddenly, its eyes blinked, and it focused on Rean and Roan. "Are you... my masters?"

Rean and Roan looked at each other, then back at Lotan. He was the one who knew what to do with this thing. Lotan on the other hand, seemed shocked by what he heard before he quickly approached. "You can speak?!"

The twins weren’t idiots. "What? The other three couldn’t speak?"

"They couldn’t!" Lotan shook his head. "Even Xawery, who was guided by her robot in the Evernight World, reported it never talked to her. It simply followed her orders."

"I see..." Rean nodded, looking back at the robot. "Well, that’s your chance, Lotan. Ask what you want."

Lotan, indeed, didn’t lose that chance. "Can you help us traverse the Evernight World?" Without a doubt, that was the most important question. Even Martinius behind seemed tense as he looked at that development.

However, the robot looked at Lotan for just a moment, returning its attention to Rean and Roan. "Are you... my masters?"

Lotan and the twins understood that this was probably some registration process they had to go through first. Nodding at the twins, Lotan allowed them to confirm the Robot’s words.

"Yes. I’m Rick Sanchez, and this is Morty Sanchez." Well, Morty’s name in the cartoon was Morty Smith, but it would be weird if the twins used that in this place since they are brothers.

*pepepepe... druweee...*

Some weird sounds came from the robot, but it eventually talked again. "Acknowledged. Master Rick and Morty. What are your orders?"

"Answer all of this man’s questions," Rean pointed at Lotan.

"Acknowledged." And the robot accepted.

Lotan took a deep breath and tried again. "Can you guide us through the Evernight World?"

"This unit doesn’t know what the Evernight World is," The robot answered.

Lotan wasn’t disheartened. He knew he made a mistake. Who knows if that place carried the same name in the past as the one they use now. "We found you in a place where the daylight never comes down. It’s night nonstop. What do you call that location?"

"This unit doesn’t know." Too bad it still couldn’t answer it.

Roan narrowed his eyes, asking, "What do you know about yourself?"

The robot went silent for a few seconds, and its voice finally echoed again. "Other than general knowledge, this unit’s database is completely empty."

Roan snorted. It was indeed too good to be true. "Well, there you have it. We’ve got ourselves a useless piece of junk."
