Chapter 3407: Done With Everything
Rifindio, Kentucky, Roan, Zangeshu, and Ridia all went to the terminal one by one. As for their IDs... well, let’s say Rean was making up for his kids’ day when his emotions were being suppressed by the system’s existence. He arranged new names for everyone. Roan was selected as Morty... obviously. Then you had Kentucky as Daffy Duck, Rifindio as Golbat because... why not? Zangeshu became Elmer, and finally, Ridia went for Wendy.
’Couldn’t you have asked our opinions before setting our new names?’ Kentucky asked, not feeling very happy.
Rean smiled. ’Nope.’
The disciple quickly sent them away after registering so they wouldn’t bother him anymore while he attended to the other experts in the queue. Without much to do, Roan decided to bring Ridia near the forest and enter the Dimensional Realm there. That way, the Earth and Wood Elements near it would be more concentrated in the Dimensional Realm.
Inside the Dimensional Realm, Roan and Kentucky worked with the little girl. "Alright, we have enough Earth and Wood Elements to finish your cultivation technique. We will get to conclude this thing before the start of the test. Now, use the technique as I say so I can check the last few issues."
Ridia nodded and began to absorb the Earth and Wood Elements from both Roan’s Herb Garden and the ones that came from outside.
Rean, on the other hand, spent his next few days with Zangeshu, working on their runes and blacksmithing as always. He also took some time to train Zangeshu in his cultivation to make sure he was following the work plan he had devised. Zangeshu was truly doing quite well.
Zangeshu would spend every single minute of his life with formations, talismans, and blacksmithing if he could. Blacksmith Rean started to teach him recently since they could have inscriptions, a branch of formations. For Zangeshu, that was crucial. However, Rean could work with runes that Zangeshu’s cultivation simply wasn’t enough. To Zangeshu, that was absolutely unacceptable. Thus, he was diligent in his cultivation.
Well, the fact that the cultivation technique he used would cause a terrible backlash if he didn’t follow the training menu was another good reason for him to not ignore it...
Rifindio, with nothing much to do, also cultivated or spent some time in the city, waiting for that test to start in a week. He couldn’t help but feel weird. He was trying to join a sect of the Divine Realm while he had been a member of the Supreme Palace before. Too bad he was someone’s plaything... or so said the Mist Library’s sentience. ’Just what did the Library mean...?’ Even now, he couldn’t find the answer.
Just like that, the days went by, and the city became more and more crowded. The tension was palpable, everyone feeling nervous about their prospects. The sect didn’t care about fairness. When it executed its recruitment, it always went for the experts it deemed necessary instead of fixed acceptance conditions. A genius from some other corner of the Divine Snow World could very well be left out in exchange for a nobody who just so happened to be good at what the sect looked for.
On the fifth day of waiting, Roan finally inserted all the information about Ridia’s cultivation technique into a Jade Slip. Nodding with satisfaction, he looked at the little girl, whose cultivation speed was quite remarkable. She definitely surpassed any other Parasol Tree in her level due to that same cultivation technique. She could be faster, but she would need more Earth and Wood Elements for that.
"Alright, this is enough for now," Roan got up, passing the Jade Slip to Ridia. "Study the technique well during the next two days, but don’t cultivate. You worked hard the last five days, so you need to rest to be in peak condition for the test in two days."
"Well done, Ridia," Kentucky patted her head. He served as kind of her sparing partner every time Roan needed to check how the cultivation technique worked in battle or under pressure. "You can definitely get to the Elemental Space Realm before 100 years is up."
"Thank you, Kentucky. Senior Roan, thank you for all your effort as well," Ridia quickly spoke.
[Hey, what about me? I also helped, you know?]
Ridia smiled in response. "Of course, Sister Orb. You are the best!"
[Hehe! That’s more like it.]
Somewhere else in the Dimensional Realm, Rean held a piece of forged alloy, analyzing it closely. "It’s not too bad, I have to say," he spoke to Zangeshu. "Your precision is truly something out of the charts. However, its Elemental Gathering Properties are still just acceptable. You lack the sensibility to understand the absorption and release process of the material. Don’t worry, though. This is all about experience."
Zangeshu narrowed his eyes. "Simply put, it is shit."
Rean truly didn’t know what to do with that guy. He was too much of a perfectionist. "If others at your level heard that, you would definitely make them cry, you know? I wasn’t as good as you back when I was at your level when it came to the precision factor. Your precision makes me truly jealous."
"That means the others are even more shit," Zangeshu didn’t hold back at all.
Rean’s mouth twitched. "Thank you for the heartfelt compliment..."
Nonetheless, Rean and Zangeshu continued with their own training.
Finally, the seven days went by, and the test was about to start.
*Zush, zush, zush...*
Not only the twins’ group, but many other experts began to come out of the city and from their own pocket dimensional realms. No one caused trouble during this time since they knew they could even be killed by the sect’s experts in this place for that same reason. No one would say a thing about it, either. Here, the Divine Snow Mountain Sect was the law.
Rean pulled out his CD, checking the website with his ID again. The contents of the test were finally up for everyone to see. They just needed to wait for the starting time.
