Once I felt the presence of Hephaestus disappear, I saw that the shield was mostly done by now.

“It’s done now, master. Your shield.”

Ignis grabbed it after burning it through his flames and then washing it inside the alchemy cauldron, the liquified mana gave the shield the last touch, combining the materials and refining them to their maximum quality and magical power.

FLAAAASH!

And as he presented the shield to me, it released a bright rainbow light, almost blinding to the eyes! I slowly grabbed the shield, feeling it was now at least four times as heavy as before… No, perhaps even more? Well thankfully I was very physically strong now, so holding this wasn’t that big of a deal.

It looked beautiful though, shining with gold and rainbow light, the shield looked almost entirely made of big, sharp draconic scales aligned together, but it had many small decorations I had left there, alongside a small draconic head made of the same metal, with rainbow jewels for eyes.

These jewels were crystallization of the shield’s spiritual energies, containing a lot of magic power and mana within them, giving the shield an even stronger form and power.

And the handle was just good enough as well, grabbing it with one hand was easy too, and I could even place it on my arms to carry it around as I fought.

The shield had gained an incredible new upgrade! Everything was improved massively; it gained new amazing abilities and also the previous ones were improved EVEN FURTHER.

Yes, even the S+ Rank Abilities became S++ Rank?! I had no idea it would be possible to upgrade those, but it worked!

The three new Abilities also sound fantastic and pretty strong. An Eye Ability from the crystalized eyes, perhaps capable of reflecting magic or sending it back to the attacker based in its name?

Then there’s the Slam Attack, probably a very powerful charging blow with the shield against an enemy, not bad at all, and if it is at this level, it is bound to be a very powerful blunt attack.

And lastly the Breath Counter, which I assume might unleash a breath attack from the small dragon head in the shield itself…

But how though? Well, I’ll find out right now as I check the Shield’s description in more detail.

[VIT & RES +70% (A)]: Increases Vitality of the Body, Stamina, and Energy alongside Defense Against Magic Damage by +70% when equipped.

[Elemental Damage Taken -75% (A)]: Decreases the Elemental Damage taken by 75%.

[Hidden: Divine Yggdragon’s Shield (S++)]: Unleash the power of the Divine Yggdragon within the shield, summoning a gigantic {Divine Yggdragon Spirit Guardian} around you that will fight and defend you for a limited amount of time. Their Power is based on the Shield and your own Internal Runes and Physique Level.

[Hidden: Gaia’s Heavenly Yggdragon Domain (S++)]: Release a Divine, Heavenly Domain encompassing a large area around you and your allies, which can close space within the area and trap enemies inside. Within this area, your health and mana recovers at 10 times the original speed, and {Blinding Light Rays}, {Heavenly Dragon Claws}, and {Yggdragon Flames} will attack foes continuously, dealing damage based on your Magic Circle Level and Runes plus a 500% boost.
