Chapter 1305: Not Much Of A Fight

Archer was at the main docks with Inara, who joined him with a cup of tea in hand while wrapped in one of his shirts. He looked at the older woman, who looked sleepy with messy grey hair, and wondered why she joined him.

”Why did you wake up so early?.” he asked with a curious voice.

She looked at him while letting out a yawn before answering. ”I wanted to spend time with you.”

”Okay, that’s fine with me,” Archer answered as the 1st Fleet pulled into the harbor carrying hundreds of government officials that will help incorporate the captured land into the Draconia Empire.

”So is it true that we’re an empire now?” Inara asked as her tail stroked against his thigh.

A shiver shot down his spine before answering. ”Yes. Once we take Duskfire and accept the Coya Empire’s surrender, we will own the southern part of Avidia. I still need to take the islands, which shouldn’t be a problem if I capture some sea monsters.”

”Monsters?” she responded while downing the last bit of tea. ”What can they do?”

Archer dragged her to the edge of the harbor wall that stretched into the sea and he summoned fifty Blood Sharks that splashed into the water from a portal he opened, causing him to speak to the creatures. ”Guard the harbor and protect my ships from any enemy monsters.”

The giant sharks let out a roar before vanishing into the dark water, causing Inara to shudder. ”Those creatures were horrifying,” she said with a tremble.

He chuckled softly at the older woman’s concern, offering her a warm, reassuring smile. ”No need to bother, Nara. They’d never dare touch you, and if anything foolish enough tried, my beasts would take care of it in an instant.”

Following that, Archer sent a message to the Demon Shark woman who appeared from a portal and smiled when seeing him. ”Hello handsome. Sorry I haven’t come to see you lately. The sea monsters are becoming unbearable to deal with.”

”What’s wrong?” he asked.

Demetra sighed before explaining that the hordes of monsters attacking the underwater bases which shocked Archer, but then he got an idea causing him to ask. ”Is there any monsters that live in colonies? Like Vivienne?”

”Is she the curvy redhead that I see in the treehouse sometimes? She seems to get on with Brooke and Mart,” the shark woman questioned.

Archer nodded, causing her to think before her yellow eyes gleamed. ”Kraken Termites! They would be the perfect addition to the Domain!” she exclaimed.

”What are they?” he asked.

Inara nodded in fascination before Demetra started talking. ”They are small termite like krakens that are fearsome and strong. Plus, there are hundreds of thousands of them in their coral cities.”

This caught Archer’s attention as the navy-haired beauty jumped into the water before transforming into her shark form. This shocked the lioness, who looked at him with wide, red eyes.

”Does all your women have a secret form?” she asked while looking at Demetra.

He didn’t answer and scooped Inara into a princess carry before hopping onto the shark woman’s back. A spell washed over them just as she dived below the waves and a beautiful underwater world greeted them.

Archer gazed at the underwater forests stretching endlessly before them, their vibrant hues dancing in the currents. Inara’s eyes widened in awe as she murmured, ”This place is breathtaking. I’ve never seen anything like it.”

”Yes. I can never get used to seeing this place,” he agreed, just as a group of whale-like creatures swam past.

While this happened, Archer questioned Demetra through the tattoo. ‘There are an unknown amount of sea monsters, correct?’

A giggle sounded in reply before he sent his Shadow Creatures after the whales who kidnapped them into the Shadow Realm, which made the two women laugh as Inara spoke up. ”Why are you taking them?”

”Monsters for the Domains Sea,” he replied with a grin. ”I’ve already got plenty, but a few more won’t harm the sea.”

Following that, the three of them continued deeper until Demetra entered a trench, only to be enveloped by darkness. Archer quickly used Mana Manipulation to light up their surroundings, which scared every beast around them.

He chuckled before he sent out an army of Shadow Monsters and ordered them to capture everything that moves. They agreed with a nod and vanished into the darkness which made the women laughed.

Moments later, Archer felt the Shadow Realm filling up as they got deeper into the trench until emerging in an underworld. Inara gasped in shock as Demetra commented. ‘The Kraken Termite kingdom is nearby.’

Afterward, her shark form sliced through the water and started attacking anything that came in range of her jaws. Ten minutes later, he spotted a field of termite mounds the size of apartment blocks.

While floating there, he sent out a wave of mana that washed across the landscape and felt billions of monster reacting to it. Archer’s grin widened before speaking to the two women. ”Stay here and wait for me.”

He cast Cosmic Shield, that created an air pocket that Inara jumped in along with Demetra, who returned to her human form. Once that was done, he made his way toward the biggest mound.

‘I wonder if this queen will mutate,’ he mused with gleaming violet eyes. ‘It doesn’t matter. I need more soldiers for the war.’

As Archer reached the mound, dozens of creatures sprang into an ambush, their sudden assault only drawing a hearty laugh from him. The Kraken Termites erupted from the shadows, an army of monstrous, insect-like beasts.

Each one was the size of a man, with jagged mandibles and thrashing tentacle-limbs tipped with venomous barbs. Their eyes glinted like molten amber, and a roar echoed through the water as they surged toward him in a frenzied swarm.

The sea churned into a vortex of chaos as they attacked, their tentacles lashing out in a blur of motion, aiming to ensnare and overwhelm him. But he only grinned, unfazed by the onslaught.

Archer sent a powerful mana pulse through the water, knocking the nearest Termites back into a tumbling spiral. One lunged at him, its mandibles snapping inches from his face, but he sidestepped with preternatural grace, seizing its tentacle and twisting hard.

Moments later, a creature screeched as he hurled it away, sending them scattering like broken toys. They pressed in, but he moved like a storm. He drove his fist into the carapace of one Termite, cracking it open with a single blow, black ichor billowing into the water.

Another latched onto his arm, its barbs digging in, only for him to laugh, a deep, booming sound that echoed through the depths as he ripped it free and crushed its head between his hands.

Spinning through the chaos, he unleashed a torrent of strikes, each punch and kick sending Kraken Termites spiraling lifelessly into the dark, their shattered bodies sinking to the seafloor.

Within moments, the water stilled. The once-ferocious swarm lay defeated, a graveyard of broken shells and twitching limbs drifting around him. Archer floated amidst the carnage, breathing steadily, his smirk unshaken.

”Not much of a fight. Let’s try something else,” he muttered to himself, brushing a speck of ichor from his shoulder before a voice echoed in his mind.

‘Can you stop killing my kin please?’ a woman said. ‘We should talk like civilized monsters?’

Archer chuckled when hearing this before agreeing as the voice continued. ‘Follow the child I send monster from above.’

Following that, a massive one appeared, and he grabbed its shell before it shot into the colony as Demetra’s concern echoed through. ‘Is everything okay, handsome?’

‘Yes, I’m going to meet the new queen to recruit her to the army,’ he replied as they entered a chamber deep in the colony.

Archer noticed everything was black but thanks to his dragon eyes he could see the walls full of eggs with small Kraken Termites. That’s when he noticed a chamber at the bottom of the hole.

A colossal creature erupted from the mound, its immense form surging through the water to loom before him, halting abruptly. He felt a wave of menace radiate from it, the air thickening with its predatory intent.

”If you attack me, I’ll beat the shit out of you,” Archer warned with a growl. ”I may come from above, but I’m still strong, even deep down here.”

The Kraken Termite shivered in fear before her voice rang out. ‘What do you want?’

”Join me in my realm and fight for me in the war,” he answered with a grin. ”Once you realize how much you’ll grow.”

When the queen heard this, she questioned. ‘What’s in it for us if we join your cause?’

Archer quickly opened a Gate to the empty sea in the Domain and motioned. ”Go in and feel the mana. Once it seeps into your eggs, they will become stronger.”

Archer watched as the Kraken Termite Queen swam through the mana infused water until her voice echoed in his mind. ‘How is this place so pure?’

”It’s my energy pouring into this place all the time,” he replied while opening the Shadow Realm.

Millions of sea monsters rushed out of the portal and fled to find a new home, which caused the queen to grab a sleek shark before eating it. Archer watched this with a chuckle as he spoke. ”Do you want to join? You can bring your kingdom here. You’re stronger than most here, so you’ll be fine.”

Following that, the queen nodded in agreement before the two of them entered the portal as she started ordering the other Kraken Termites in a frenzy as a horde of them rushed into the Domain.

Archer sensed they were already constructing another termite mound field. Seeing this fascinated him, causing him to cast Cosmic Shield and summon the two women waiting for him.
