The name of this place was God Valley.
It was given this name because it was said that there were remnants of a god that once fell in this place. Though this was something that was never actually confirmed by anyone and there were quite a few people that had searched in this place.
Since there were rumours that this place was related to a god, it was only natural that there would be people that would be interested in this place.
Of course, it wasn’t as if their interest in this place was pure either.
The only reason that the people were interested in this place was to see if there was anything to gain.
So it wasn’t just adventurers that came to this place. There were also lords that sent their soldiers and magicians that all came to explore this place as well.
But in the end, there wasn’t a single person that had been able to find a thing.
It seemed that the rumours were nothing more than rumours.
That was why other than a few people that wanted to test their luck, there weren’t that many people that came to this place anymore.
That was until the six factions suddenly recruited the adventurers to come to this place with them.
For the six factions to move that many resources to come to this place, it was clear that they had discovered something about this place. It was even likely that they had found something related to a god.
That was the reason why Lin Fan was interested in this place.
It had been a long time since he had found anything that was related to a god, let alone to an immortal. Even if he lived on the cultivation continent, that didn’t mean that it was that easy to find things that were related to immortals.
Or at least it wasn’t easy to find things that were authentic.
There were things that were being sold on the market, but it was almost always fakes that someone was trying to profit on. It was very rare for something real to make their way onto the market.
At the same time, if it was real, it wasn’t as if people would be able to put it on the market that easily.
The sects were also looking for anything related to the immortals since that was a path for their cultivation. Anyone that was able to find a relic from an immortal would guard it very closely and use it to ascend.
As such, there really wasn’t anything for Lin Fan.
So if there was something related to a god, Lin Fan would test his chances.
It had been a long time since the system had leveled up.
“This is where they brought us.” Dungeon Core 563 suddenly said this before turning around to look at Lin Fan.
Lin Fan didn’t look back at her as he looked around the area.
Just a single look was enough to tell him that people had been in this place not that long ago. These were the traces that were left behind by the tents that the regiment commanders used.
So it confirmed that Dungeon Core 563 wasn’t lying about this being the place that they had been in before.
The only thing was where did they go from here?
After all, there wasn’t a single trace of anything special here.
After looking around, Lin Fan turned to look at Dungeon Core 563 with one brow raised. The way that he looked at her made it very clear what he wanted to ask her even without him saying a single word.
But Dungeon Core 563 didn’t say anything even though Lin Fan looked at her like this.
There was a silence that filled the air as the two of them stared at each other like this.
In the end, it was one of Dungeon Core 563’s companions that said, “We really don’t know anything. They snuck off on their own and they covered their traces very well. Even if we wanted to follow them, we just weren’t able to follow them at all.”
Lin Fan turned to look at her before asking, “But you did try to follow them, right? So at the very least, you know the general direction that they were heading in before you lost them?”
The companion looked at Dungeon Core 563 as if they were confirming something with her.
Dungeon Core 563 was the one that answered as she said, “That’s right, we know the general direction that they went. However, this is a place where no one has been able to find anything new for many years now. Do you really think that you’ll be able to find something that easily?”
Lin Fan gave a shrug as he said, “No, but it’s better than nothing. I have my methods of searching the area, so all you have to do is point me in the right direction.”
Dungeon Core 563’s eyes filled with doubt as she narrowed them to look at Lin Fan, but he didn’t back down at all as he stared right into her eyes.
Eventually, Dungeon Core 563 turned around and started walking off in a certain direction.
Lin Fan didn’t hesitate to follow her when he saw this.
It didn’t take long for Dungeon Core 563 to stop.
This was a place that wasn’t very far from where the camp had been.
Once she stopped, Dungeon Core 563 simply turned around and said in a careless voice, “This is where we lost sight of them when we tried to find them.”
Lin Fan gave a simple nod before he just stood there staring off into the distance.
Seeing Lin Fan act this way, Dungeon Core 563 and her companions all looked at Lin Fan with doubtful gazes. They looked at him as if they thought that he was crazy for just standing there like this.
But Lin Fan didn’t care since he was doing something.
Finally, Dungeon Core 563 couldn’t take it anymore as she asked, “What are you doing? Why are you just standing there in a daze?”
It didn’t seem like Lin Fan heard her at first which annoyed Dungeon Core 563 a bit. But when she tried to grab him and shake him out of his daze, Lin Fan said, “Give me a minute, I’m searching the area.”
There were still looks of doubt on the faces of Dungeon Core 563 and her companions, but at least she didn’t try to grab him again. But it was clear that they didn’t believe that Lin Fan would be able to find anything.
After a few minutes, Dungeon Core 563 said, “We shouldn’t waste any more time here, let’s…
“Found it.” Lin Fan said while cutting her off.
“Huh?” Dungeon Core 563 and the others were caught off guard hearing this, but that didn’t mean that they doubt disappeared from their faces. They were looking at Lin Fan as if they thought that he was just saying something random instead of actually finding anything.
But Lin Fan just ignored them as he headed in a certain direction.
Seeing that he didn’t elaborate, they had no choice but to follow behind him to see what Lin Fan had found.
After walking for a bit longer, Lin Fan suddenly came to a stop.
The problem was that this was a place in the middle of nowhere. There wasn’t a single thing that was special about this place they were standing in, there wasn’t even a clearing or anything that was here.
This was just a spot in the middle of the forest where they were completely surrounded by trees.
Seeing that Lin Fan wasn’t going to do anything, Dungeon Core 563 couldn’t help saying, “What are you doing just standing there? There’s nothing here at…”
Once again, she didn’t get to finish her words.
But this time, Lin Fan didn’t cut her off with his own words.
This time, Lin Fan cut her off with his actions as he suddenly bent his body forward.
When his upper half came down, it disappeared starting with his head.
The more that his body went forward, the more that his body disappeared until his upper half was completely gone. It was as if he had been cut in half from the waist up with the way that this half of him disappeared.
But then when he brought his upper half back up, he appeared in front of them once more.
“It’s here. This is the place.”
Dungeon Core 563 and the others looked at Lin Fan with strange looks on their faces, but there was nothing that they could say to refute this. After all, the proof of Lin Fan’s words were right in front of them.
“What is it?”
“It’s a temple that’s hidden with some kind of illusion spell, that’s why no one has been able to find it for all these years.”
“No, no, no, even if it is an illusion spell, it shouldn’t be strong enough that it would be able to fool everyone. There have been plenty of powerful people that have explored this place previously, they should be more than capable of finding this place. There’s no way that a simple illusion spell would have hidden this place for so long.” Dungeon Core 563 still had plenty of doubts about this.
However, Lin Fan just calmly said, “It seems like there was a seal in this place that was also keeping this place hidden. When the regiment commanders left, they seemed to have forgotten to seal it off again.”
There were still strange looks that were on the faces of Dungeon Core 563 and the others, but they had to admit that this was indeed an explanation.
