VILLAIN MMORPG: ALMIGHTY DEVIL EMPEROR AND HIS SEVEN DEMONIC WIVES
Chapter 1072 - 1072: OmenVillain Ch 1072. Omen
Jane, Larissa, Vivian, and Bella all readied their attacks. Larissa’s blood tendrils shimmered, Jane’s curse spell pulsed around her, and Vivian’s whip crackled. Bella, with a mischievous grin, conjured dozens of flames.
The priestess let out one final, desperate scream, her voice filled with fury and despair. But it was too late.
Allen swung his sword with a powerful, sweeping motion, the blade cutting through the air with a sharp whoosh.
For a moment, the entire chamber shook, the walls groaning under the unleashed energy. Then, with a final, piercing wail, the priestess collapsed.
A notification appeared in front of Allen.
[You have defeated the Angry Priestess!]
[You received Cursed Priestess Robes, Priestess’s Memento (Quest Item), Holy Relic Fragments 8 ea, and 56,480 Coins.]
Allen let out a breath, lowering his sword. “That’s it. She’s done.”
Zoe cringed. “It’s easier than I thought,” she stated.
Bella stretched her arms above her head, yawning exaggeratedly. “Well, that was fun. We should really do this more often.”
Alice glanced at Jane with a flat stare, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “She literally hasn’t done anything yet. That was an easy kill, and you’re acting like we just defeated a demon lord.”
“We already defeated a demon lord before, remember?” Vivian said in a teasing tone, glancing at Allen. A smirk on her lips. “But on the bed.”
“Oh yeah. That ‘Demon Lord’ is crazily strong,” Shea added, smirking.
Jane huffed dramatically, feigning offense. “Excuse me, she wasn’t that easy. I was nearly haunted by her creepy undead self just a moment ago. You didn’t see her sneaking up on me like that.”
Larissa smirked, crossing her arms as her blood tendrils faded back into her body. “And yet, somehow, you turned her into a ceiling pancake before she even laid a finger on you.”
Bella burst out laughing, her fox ears twitching with amusement. “You have to be the first necromancer who’s scared of the undead. What kind of necromancer is that?”
Zoe raised an eyebrow and glanced at Jane. “Honestly, Bella has a point. You’ve got skeletons doing your dirty work all the time, but you can’t handle one undead priestess getting a little too close?”
Alice joined in, her laughter echoing in the vast hall. “Yep, it’s official. You’re the weirdest necromancer I’ve ever seen.”
Jane rolled her eyes at the teasing but couldn’t help but chuckle along. “I like to think I’m just a special kind of necromancer. You know, unique. It’s part of my charm.”
Allen, ignoring the banter behind him, extended his hand toward the remains of the Angry Priestess. ‘Contract,’ he used his skill. Dark tendrils of energy reached out, wrapping around the ashes and the faint remnants. A soft hum filled the room as Allen began binding the defeated mini-boss to him.
Jane, watching the process with mock sympathy, sighed dramatically. “Oh, poor priestess, bound to serve the devil emperor for all eternity. What a tragic end.”
Larissa huffed in amusement due to Jane’s comment. “Here we go again.”
Bella was still laughing, wiping a tear from the corner of her eye. “I’m still stuck on the necromancer being afraid of her own kind. You can’t make this up.”
Zoe couldn’t resist a grin. “It’s ironic, but hey, it’s what makes Jane interesting.”
Alice, still giggling, added, “If by interesting, you mean unpredictable. I mean, who knows when she’ll panic next.”
Allen remained focused. The final part of the contract was sealed. A notification appeared before him.
[The contract is completed!]
[The Angry Priestess is your servant now!]
The dark glow faded, and the ashes of the Angry Priestess reformed slightly, coalescing into a shadowy version of her former self. She hovered beside Allen, her presence now subdued and bound by his will. She no longer screamed, her face a calm mask of obedience.
Allen turned to the group, his usual calm demeanor returning. “Alright, she’s bound now,” he said, his tone casual as if he’d just completed a minor task. “But what really caught my attention was this.”
He opened his inventory and held up the Priestess’s Memento, the quest item he had earned after defeating the mini-boss. The small, ornate object shimmered in his hand, faint runes glowing along its surface.
“I want to open it,” Allen continued. “Do you guys want to check it out?”
Larissa leaned in slightly, her curiosity piqued. “You think there’s a story behind it? Maybe it’ll tell us what happened to this place.”
Allen nodded. “Yeah, I think so. This place feels too cursed not to have a backstory.”
The group gathered around Allen as he held up the Priestess’s Memento. Everyone watched closely as Allen spoke the command, “Open.”
The memento shimmered, and a soft, glowing script began to form in the air above it. The letters danced and twisted, slowly arranging themselves into readable text. A faint, haunting voice echoed through the room—almost like a memory being replayed. It was the priestess’ voice, and through it, the group heard her final thoughts, her hopes, and the terror that had consumed her in those last moments.

I was so excited for the ceremony tomorrow. Everything was prepared. The songs, the chants—all to praise the Gods and pray for a good year. It would be a grand event, a celebration of faith, and a plea for divine favor. We had prepared everything so meticulously.
Our order even captured a singer, one with a voice unlike any human could produce. Her voice was said to be so pure, so beautiful, that it could melt the hearts of both Gods and Devils alike. She was not one of us—no, she was something… otherworldly. We had captured her with great difficulty, just for this occasion.
I hoped everything would go smoothly. I prayed the Gods would bless us for our efforts.
But then… something went wrong.
The singing began, even though the ceremony hadn’t started. At first, I thought it was an omen, a sign that the Gods were pleased with us. The voice… it was beyond words. So pure. So beautiful. I was happy, excited.
I thought we were blessed. But then…
My ears. They began to hurt…
