Chapter 829: Overlord Era (2)

On the other side of the void, Nyx’s advancement sent shockwaves that swiftly woke the Overlords from their seclusion.

If Marcus’s advancement was a timely help, Nyx’s ascent stirred complex emotions in them.

“I wonder how much stronger Nyx has become,”

“Maybe he could challenge you, Lazo,”

“Haha, no matter what, we’re far past worrying about such things.” Lazo laughed.

In the past, they might have sought to suppress Nyx. But with the coming dark disaster, they could only be grateful for stronger allies.

Furthermore, their sights were no longer set on the Overlord realm but on becoming Archons, a tier 13 powerhouses capable of ruling the void.

Nyx was merely catching up to a realm they had long walked.

Though he was slightly stronger now, it was only temporary. With their accumulated foundation over trillions of epochs, it wasn’t certain who would lose to whom.

Meanwhile, Nyx’s advancement sparked a carnival among the Absolutes and other powerhouses in seclusion.

If Marcus’s rise marked the dawn of a new era, Nyx’s advancement pried its gates even wider.

If there were one and two, there could be four, eight, fifty, a hundred, until Overlords became commonplace, a level one could eventually reach.

Witnessing this bloom and the emergence of another Overlord, they surged forward, striving to keep pace with the new era.

Amid this frenzy, the Absolutes, after merging their paths of law with the source of knowledge, began to receive their share of plane origin for the first time.

Harvesting trillions of units of plane origin every thousand years, the Shadowcrest family grew more generous, distributing it to all powerhouses who contributed to their cause.

Though the Absolutes hadn’t yet merged their own source of path, unwilling to let them lag behind the surging tide, the Shadowcrest family decided to grant them the plane origin they deserved in advance.

With the spread of this higher-tier energy source, not only did the Absolutes benefit, but also the Masters of the River of Law, the Masters of the Ocean of Law, powerhouses of all tiers, and even infants born in this new era.

Blessed with plane origin from birth, their physique, talent, and affinity for the law surpassed all previous generations.

As talent upon talent emerged in droves, the top beings of the Aeon Plane began leveraging their resources, power, and influence to siphon portions of the circulating plane origin.

Promising benefits, wielding threats, or appealing to emotion and status, they amassed billions of units of plane origin every thousand years for their training.

With such vast resources, the time they estimated to advance accelerated dozens to hundreds of times.

Soon, forgetting time, fatigue, and the imminent disaster, time began to advance at a blazing speed.

As millions of years passed, one talent after another began to advance.

From the incarnation of Nyx, who condensed the supreme path of power, the ultimate strength of individuality, following the path of Lazo and Marcus.

With his main body just advancing to the Overlord Realm and abundant plane origin, his incarnation quickly caught up to his current realm.

To wield the potential of the devouring darkness of the Snake of Abyss, he let his incarnation carry the path to ultimate power.

Still, unsatisfied with his current state, Nyx decided to merge his main body and incarnation into one.

Though this would erase his escape path and his backup plan in case everything went awry, Nyx chose to go all out.

To protect the Aeon Plane, home to the juvenile abyss he had just condensed, Nyx was willing to burn his last resort.

For the abyss, his foundation, all his hard work and effort, anyone wishing to destroy the Aeon Plane had to face him first.

On the other side, Sira’s clone used her fruit of advancement to condense the Crown of Zerg, granting her control over the Zergs beyond the Aeon Plane.

With the Zerg Nest and Zerg Crown, Sira could wield the power of numbers and control, spreading the influence of the dark beasts beyond the limits of the Aeon Plane.

Like Nyx, Sira began to merge her main body and clone into one.

Planning to join the Shadowcrest family through marriage, Sira no longer needed to escape alone.

Instead of maintaining a clone, dividing her attention and resources, it was better to have one stronger body.

Waiting in anticipation, Sira quietly merged the two bodies, preparing for the trial to the throne of the Aeon Plane.

Meanwhile, Paragon, the one who eclipsed a generation, a mysterious entity from the powerful chaos organization, the Order of Light, condensed the Seal of Boundless, containing all possible power, skills, and abilities.

Thanks to the foundation provided by the Order of Light, Paragon advanced smoothly without issue.

Regaining all his previous powers and memories, Paragon began personally leading the entities of law to contact reinforcements.

Though he could now escape with his current power, he didn’t want to disregard the immense potential buried in the Aeon Plane.

The potential of the Aeon Plane might aid his advancement to become an Archon.

Unwilling to stop his path to power, Paragon was even prepared to use the Order of Light as a shield.

In the depths of Devourer territory, Zar, the prince of void beasts, a being nurtured by the Aeon Plane for trillions of epochs from birth, swallowed the fruit of his advancement, achieving the path to the quintessence of power.

Fully activating his pseudo-plane-level physique, each of his movements began to unleash the power of destruction, tearing cracks in the void.

Feeling he could wrestle against the dark beasts, Zar shot through the Aeon Plane, planning to confront them face to face.

Fortunately, before he could act on his recklessness, a massive arm stopped him in his tracks.

“Lazo! Let me go!” Zar shouted, struggling to break free from the bindings.

“Don’t be reckless! Don’t waste your life on ignorance!” Lazo urged.

“Why? I’m so powerful—how could the dark beasts do anything to me?” Zar said, unwilling to yield.

“You don’t understand. If you leave, you can never return! It’s not time yet!”

Though they were strong, most of their foundation still remained in the Aeon Plane.

Venturing outside the plane, they would be alone, like rootless duckweed with no foothold to stand on.

“Then when will the time be right?”

“Soon… Just wait a little longer…”
