The World Conquest: Giving Birth To Become A God
Chapter 801 - 801: Infinite Source of Plane OriginInstead of fear, the Archons would even be happy to be attacked by the dark beast.
And, even if the dark beast was too much for them to bear, they could just take their Plane and flee elsewhere.
As long as they could protect themselves, why would they go out of their way to fight an impossible war?
Realizing this, Mira felt a wave of complicated emotion.
She was happy because with Chaos Grass, the Aeon Plane at least had a chance to survive.
Reincarnated in such a plane, even if she lived here for eternity, it wouldn’t have a downside.
But she was also sad. Because even if they escaped, countless planes in the Planar Chaos Region had no way out.
“Don’t get too excited. The Chaos Grass can only partially absorb dark energy. It’s not enough to fight the Dark Disaster.” Maximus said, pouring cold water over their hope.
“Not enough? Then we can grow more grass! without the dark energy, we can kill the dark beasts easily!”
“It’s not that simple. It’s called Chaos Grass for a reason. It thrives in chaos energy. While it can absorb dark energy, it’s like a poison slowly consuming it.”
Though the blade of grass still looked evergreen, Maximus had already noticed faint signs of corrosion.
In a thousand years at most, it would wilt under the corrosion of dark energy.
“I see…”
Hearing Maximus’s words, Mira suddenly remembered something.
Back when she was still an Archon, she had used her plane-level ability—Plane Balance—to calculate the fate of the Planar Chaos Region.
The result: complete annihilation. No planes, no lives, no powerhouses would survive.
That was why she’d fallen into utter despair, why she had been willing to endure trillions of epochs of loneliness in her attempt to escape to another Chaos Region.
When that failed, she swallowed her pride and tried to unite the other Archons for one last stand.
But she still failed.
With her final strength, she placed all her hopes on the light she had seen shining in the Aeon Plane.
If Chaos Grass had been the easy solution, her past self would have spent everything to find it, instead of sacrificing so much.
Thinking of it, instead of being a lifesaver, the Chaos Grass might have been the very reason the Archons underestimated the threat of the dark beasts.
Even if they could keep cultivating the grass over and over, could it keep up with the endless swarm of dark beasts?
Even if they absorbed all the chaos energy in the Planar Chaos Region and converted it into plane origin, would it ever be enough to counter their never-ending numbers?
Clearing the turmoil in her mind, Mira became even more determined to chase the light of hope she had once seen.
Unfortunately, no matter where she looked, she couldn’t find it in the Aeon Plane.
Sighing, she turned toward her father-in-law, who was busy experimenting with the Chaos Grass, trying to get it to multiply.
“Tsk, tsk… If left on its own, this grass could only multiply once every thousand years,” Maximus muttered, clicking his tongue as he ran the numbers.
By absorbing chaos energy, the grass could produce one unit of plane origin every thousand years, just enough to spawn another blade of grass.
Fortunately, Maximus had a shortcut.
By directly feeding it plane origin, he managed to force the blade to multiply.
Watching the single sprout rooted into the void growing as it split into two, Maximus heaved a sigh of relief. It seems his deduction was correct.
“So expensive…”
Watching the process, everyone clicked their tongues.
It takes one unit of plane origin just to multiply one chaos grass into two.
How many more would they need to fill the Etherium Realm?
“Relax, we just need to produce enough to let them multiply on their own.”
If they could grow a billion blades, each doubling every thousand years, the Aeon Plane would eventually be full.
Having such a compounding growth rate, the chaos grass would fill the Aeon Plane in no time.
“But how do we harvest the plane origin? Do we have to extract it manually?”
While the Chaos Grass absorbed chaos energy and converted it into plane origin, all of it went directly into growth.
At best, it would passively release a trillionth of the chaos energy it purifies. Even then, such a tiny amount would be diluted into the atmosphere.
“We have no choice but to extract it. its passive output is useless.”
By the time the grass grew to a scale that its passive output was enough, Maximus would’ve already reached the Tier 13 Realm.
Taking out billions of units of plane origin, he poured them into the chaos grass.
Watching their number explode into billions, the air suddenly became purer, making their mind relax and filled with clarity.
“Take one each to experiment. Find a method to extract plane origin with the highest conversion rate.”
Delegating the task to his family, Maximus turned his attention to the two stones before him.
Although Mira hadn’t recognized them, since they were Tier 13 materials, studying them should be worthwhile.
While waiting for Nero to finish unlocking the first layer of security on the Heavenly System, Maximus picked up each stone, ready to examine them.
“What about these dark beast bodies, Master? Should I store them?” Eternal Voyager asked, noticing how quickly they had been ignored.
If left unattended, these dark beast carcasses would eventually resurrect.
“Oh right, I forgot!” Maximus slapped his forehead.
With all their attention on the Chaos Grass, they had completely overlooked the dark beast.
Thinking about how best to use them, Maximus summoned the leader of the Void Ants—Orion, the first of their race to reach Tier 11.
“Master~” Orion greeted, emerging from the Dimensional Space.
“Take these carcasses. You know what to do,” Maximus said, pointing to the piles behind him.
“Leave it to me, Master!” Orion replied, buzzing with excitement.
With these Tier 12 dark beast bodies, more Void Ants could evolve to Tier 11.
“Haha, go ahead. Let’s see how far your race can grow…”
