The World Conquest: Giving Birth To Become A God
Chapter 791 - 791: The Chaos EaterExamining the data they gathered, Maximus quickly concluded this wasn’t something a pseudo-plane-level physique could do.
Furthermore, Lazo had already cut off his connection to this flesh and blood—how could it still have so much vitality?
He even deduced that, given enough energy, it would be strong enough to rival the original body.
“What do you think it is, Father?” Lily asked, seeing the shock on her father’s face.
Studying Lazo’s pieces of flesh and blood, she had long noticed something was off.
However, no matter how she racked her brain, she couldn’t figure out how it worked.
It was neither the power of law nor physique. It was something innate, something that was just supposed to happen.
“I don’t know…”
Just by observing the data, Maximus couldn’t reach a conclusion.
If he wanted to find the source of evolution and growth coming from Lazo’s remains, he’d need to study them deeply.
Meanwhile, thinking their father had gone so long, they followed him through the other facility.
Seeing only Lily and their father were inside, they didn’t bother to say hello, checking curiously what their mother and sisters had been doing in the past ten thousand years.
Meanwhile, having sensitive ears, Mira overheard their conversation, talking about the source of evolution and growth of a blood, cut off from its source.
“Can you let me see the data?”
“Here.”
Curious to see what her father-in-law was getting a headache about, Mira began to read the data.
“Hmm? This?! How is this possible?!”
From curiosity to shock, Mira felt like she’d seen a ghost.
“What’s the matter? Did something happen?” Nero rushed over, hearing the alarm in his wife’s voice.
“This! This! Is this data real?!”
Without waiting for an answer, Mira grabbed a vial of Lazo’s blood and examined it, activating her path of law and the observation tower.
Watching it grow, evolve, and adapt to the laws around it, Mira finally confirmed her suspicion.
“What is it?”
Seeing the light in her eyes, the others couldn’t help but be curious.
“If my conclusion is right this is one of the top ten strongest Chaotic Creatures—the Chaos Eater!”
“Top ten Chaotic Creatures? Chaos Eater?”
“The top ten Chaotic Creatures are the strongest beings ever recorded in the Planar Chaos Region.
“Among them is the Chaos Eater. It’s said they can grow beyond all limits, adapt to the harshest environments, and most importantly, they have undying vitality. They can’t be killed even when crushed to pieces.”
“Unfortunately, according to records, this creature only passed through the Planar Chaos Region and left soon after.”
“Even then, it fought hundreds of Archons, devoured half of them, and left without a scratch!”
Mira used to think those legends were just folklore, stories to add mystique and glory to the past.
But seeing the reaction of the vial of blood in front of her, she had no choice but to believe it.
Although the reaction in the blood is a trillionth of the real thing, it’s still a miracle.
Seeing the blood steadily become stronger, Mira could barely calm his heart.
“Do you think it’s residual blood from that past battle?” Lily asked, intrigued.
“Maybe. But without a catalyst, it would just be a drop of blood with no consciousness. No matter how strong it becomes, it wouldn’t turn into another creature,” Mira replied, nodding and then shaking her head.
She had heard rumors of Archons storing the Chaos Eater’s blood, but before leaving for the Aeon Plane, she’d never heard of any results.
“Could it be—”
“Alright, don’t worry about this anymore. We’d better not talk about this topic,” Maximus warned, seeing they were about to continue.
Just now, while they were discussing the Chaos Eater, Maximus noticed a faint presence turning its attention toward them.
He didn’t know who or what it was, whether an Archon or the Chaos Eater itself, but with the True Plane squeezing his heart with warning, Maximus would be a fool not to shut down the conversation fast.
Seeing his solemn face and the sweat forming on his forehead, they quickly went silent.
How dare a group of Tier 11 Absolutes talk about something that devoured half the Archons in the Planar Chaos Region?
Even without ill intent, just saying its name could get them wiped out.
“Keep everything in your mind. No need to speak of this topic again.”
“But what about these specimens?” Lily muttered, still unwilling.
“Of course, we study and use them! How could we ignore something this useful?”
Since the Archons had studied parts of the Chaos Eater’s body without being killed, it should be fine.
“That’s good!”
Hearing her father’s assurance, Lily and the others let out a relieved sigh.
With the matter settled, Maximus turned his attention back to the data, wondering how he could incorporate it into the micro-surveillance bot.
Mira and the others were also curious. They began running different tests on the specimens, eager to see their limits.
In this way, hundreds of years passed in the blink of an eye.
“It’s time to take a break. Overworking is bad for your health,” Sam reminded.
They were supposed to remind their father about the break, but had been too caught up in the research.
“Then you all take a break. Let me study a while longer,” Maximus said, waving them off.
“What do you mean, Father? Aren’t you coming with us?” Lily asked.
“No, it’s enough if you all rest.”
“How is that okay? As our father, aren’t you supposed to set an example?”
“Come on, Father, don’t be stubborn. Overworking will dull your mind.”
“Either Father leaves with us, or we all stay here.”
“Hmph! How could you have fun here without us?”
Seeing their father reluctant to go, they each took a side and dragged him out of the lab.
“You guys…” Letting his children pull him along, Maximus sighed helplessly.
It looked like he’d have to shelve the matter for now.
Fortunately, now that he’d found a direction for the micro-surveillance bot, he felt more at ease and could finally relax.
Arriving in the Shadow Void region, Maximus and his children joined the others, enjoying themselves after long, exhausting years.
