Chapter 743: Giant Slayer.
For the first time since forever, they had seen it fall. The fragment of Kizmal, fell down wreathed in fire, roaring in pain as the fire burnt through it’s skin and for the first time.
Fear was apparent on the face of the abominable Oni, and as it fell, everyone pounced on it. Alexander escaped from the ruined visage of its face, covered in blue blood that was nullified by his unique mana, and rushed towards the other ear.
Abalak attacked went for the eyes, and Olivia strengthened her bond with her wind spirit, using it’s power to fan the fire, Edward meanwhile… wreathed in golden flame ran up the body of the giant.
It was like he was in hell, the electric field was gone, fire had engulfed everything, and it was a struggle to just remain there. But Edward knew he had no time. Kizmal would not be affected by something like this for long. He could already see the sea of fire start to diminish.
He was surprised it lasted this long, whatever sorcery Sabrina used for it was effective, but with the powers of this giant, it would not last long. Edward, with all the speed he could muster, ran towards Kizmal’s face.
His target were not the eyes of the lightning giant, they were already beyond recognition. They had deprived Kizmal of his vision many times, but it was not a fatal blow. They just kept doing it because of his screams of pain.
The storm in the skies roared, and from it rained down thousands upon thousands of bolts of lightning, Edward shivered as he glimpsed at the bright flashes in the sky. Almost all of them were aimed at Alan, but a few hundred were aimed at everyone else too.
He collected his breath, and clenched his fists tight, dodging whatever he could, but he could not do it forever, a bolt of blue lightning, the weakest kind hit him, and he fell over, his skin brushing against the charred surface of the giant.
Pushing himself up, he… he jumped in the mouth of Kizmal. The mana assaulted him immediately, and he knew he only had a few seconds to do something. As his body was ripped apart, he gathered every ounce of energy he had in his body into a small ball of golden fire in his hands.
Every ounce of it, condensed into that small ball. It would not be as grand as Alan’s, nor would it be as great as Sabrina’s, but for god’s sake it would be something!
’Not much is known about the Golden Fox tribe, but two things. One, Their healers are second only to the remaining blood of the Phoenix, and their fire, when used by their warriors with determination.
Is everlasting.’
Abalak, despite his old age did not know anything significant about the warriors of the Golden Fox Tribe, his tribe. All he knew were the rituals performed by god beasts which he taught Emma.
Edward had received very little education about his origin, and what he could do with his powers… He only knew of this one thing.
’Everlasting…
He knew death was close, so he unleashed the ball of fire, aiming it right at Kizmal’s throat.
’Everlasting Golden Fire.’
And he was not even able to see what he had accomplished, for a moment later Kizmal snapped his mouth shut. Before the mana could get to him, he had been turned into red paste by the Giant’s pearly whites.
[MOVE.]
Outside, Kazikato’s voice rang inside everyone’s ears, and they all abided, moving as far away from Kizmal as possible.
A door made of bones appeared, and the world was deprived of color once more as Kazikato sacrificed everything to deal a fatal blow.
The might of a seven-star technique was unleashed as its owner died of exhaustion, but for a few moments, the mighty star devourer was weakened.
Its skin was rotting, burning, and there was a large gash on its chest. From which bone could be seen. Kizmal rose with great difficulty, and shivered in fright and pain as the last embers finally left its body.
Sabrina was dead the moment the barrage of Lightning began, most of them had gone to Alan, but being the cause of the great fire had caused quite a few powerful ones to come her way.
She had tried to survive, but in an exhausted state, there was not much she could do. Kizmal roared, and clapped his hands, Olivia’s organs exploded from within, and she died soon after destroying another heart.
Now, Only Alan, Alexander, and Emma were left. Alexander, fully aware that Alan was tired from the barrage of lightning and his own special move, as well as Emma’s weakness, took matters into his own hands.
Running into the other ear, He went deeper and deeper into the dark maw until his null mana ran out, and the electrical mana ravaged his body. With blood leaking out from all his orifices, he yelled.
“FESTUL!”
[I KNOW!]
With his dying breath, he unleashed another [Raijin]. Unfortunately, what ended up killing him was his own technique, Kizmal had not finished him this time.
High in the skies, Alan eyed Kizmal, who roared in pain as Alexander finally succeeded at reaching the brain. He could feel it, the giant was weak. Within it’s body golden fire raged, exhaustion and weakness took over, and its brain was damaged by the blast.
He wanted to rush in and finish the job, but he knew he shouldn’t.
[Now…]
Emma fell to the ground, the last of her strength leaving her body as a golden glow appeared around Alan, dyeing his fire golden. He felt strength fill his body, He felt as if all the exhaustion had disappeared, and so.
He repeated what he had done before.
Massive balls of fire appeared all around him, they were akin to miniature suns, And he began to charge another condensed breath.
He felt like vomiting, as if his entire body was covered in filth, and soon he began to feel nauseous, evading Kizmal in this state was an incredibly difficult task, even more so when the giant had gone insane.
But it didn’t matter. He would endure for as long as possible.
He was determined to drop an entire sun on this damned nightmare, no matter what.
