Time rewinds a bit.

The teleported Jack found himself in the sky above Mizuho.

"Are you kidding me...!"

Seil, the demon who was reduced to just an upper body by No-Name's attack, laughed.

"Let's die together!"

"You can die by yourself!"

Jack released an arrow in mid-air, eradicating the half-bodied Seil. However, he was still falling. How to stop the fall? Where was he? If he was near a city, he couldn't use the ground to counteract his momentum. And the fall continued. He had to act quickly.

As he pondered, he was suddenly pulled into something. The next moment, he found himself in a forest.

"What the hell is going on?"

"If it's a battle against demons, we must lend a hand," said the elder of the Dragonfolk, appearing before Jack.

"Are you an ally?"

"Indeed."

"Thanks. So, where am I?"

"You're within the territory of Mizuho."

"Damn... that bastard."

Seil had sent him as far away from the kingdom as possible. Even if he headed back now, would he make it in time?

"How's the battle situation?" the elder asked.

"It was fairly even until I got sent away, but I don't know the current status."

The impact of an SS-rank adventurer leaving was significant. The allied forces were likely struggling. Jack thought of Mia, hoping she wasn't doing anything reckless.

"We've been hiding here for 500 years," the elder said.

"500 years?"

"Our power may not be much help, but our technology can be. All forests are connected."

Saying this, the elder created an exit behind Jack. Understanding the gesture, Jack walked through it.

"Can we entrust the fate of this continent to you, adventurer?"

"Heh, not my style, but sure."

As Jack waved and left, the elder was reminded of the strong warriors he had fought alongside in the past. Demons always had bad timing, attacking during prosperous times. But perhaps a miracle could happen again.

Seil's mistake was sending Jack to Mizuho. Because he was sent so far away, Jack gained a way to return. Exiting the forest, he found himself near the royal capital.

"Are you kidding me..."

He had been at one end of the continent and now found himself at the opposite end. Despite his surprise, Jack started running towards the royal capital. The battle was still ongoing. He had to hurry.

When he arrived, he saw countless corpses. The allied forces were still holding on, literally forming a wall of flesh against the advancing demons. Jack quickly assessed the situation and decided to support the allied forces rather than join the SS-rank adventurers at the front lines.

In his line of sight, a young girl was fighting a demon, buying time for the injured to retreat.

"Get back, girl! That's enough!"

"Not yet!"

Mia was relentlessly shooting arrows, restraining the demon's movements. Jack thought she was foolish for prioritizing the injured over herself. He ran towards her, bow at the ready.

"Who did she take after...!"

As he aimed, the demon, who had been advancing despite Mia's attacks, was now close to her. Mia's attacks were no longer effective. Just as the demon reached her, its upper body was blown away by Jack's arrow. Even a demon couldn't withstand an unguarded attack from Jack.

"Use your legs if you're an archer of magic. Don't stop."

As he eradicated the remaining lower half of the demon, Jack spoke to Mia. She snapped out of her daze and approached him.

"You're the Bow God, right? The SS-rank adventurer, the magic archer!"

"Yeah, but..."

"I'm a fan!"

"Uh, okay..."

Confused, Jack could only nod. But Mia was unfazed.

"I'm also an archer of magic! My name is Mia!"

"I can see that."

"Really!?"

Jack chuckled at her reaction. If he had raised her, she wouldn't have turned out like this. She must have been blessed with a good environment. He had decided never to deny his daughter, no matter how foolish or naive she seemed. So, Jack spoke.

"If you can move, follow me. We'll buy time for the injured to retreat."

"Yes, sir!"

"Watch closely. This is how a true magic archer fights."

And so, the two archers of magic prepared to unleash their full potential on the battlefield.
