Chapter 1435 Deep Memory Connections
“Seed,” Rowan smiled as he rocketed into the core of the star, he reappeared at the side of his grandfather who was on his feet, and he looked at the old immortal, a part of him wondering why he still thought of him as old when he knew that as immortals they did not age, for he suspected that Seed’s aged appearance was due to preference not a reference of his great age, and he must be old, perhaps one of the oldest immortal he had come across. “I have always been curious; how old are you, and what are your true power levels? When I first met you, you told me you are a seventh-dimensional immortal, but now I can see that this is obviously not true; what about Elura? She is not at the fifth-dimensional level, isn’t she? Both of you are Old Ones.” Rowan blatantly stated.
Seed blinked, and then he laughed, “Why am I not surprised that is the first thing you would say to me? It is good that your time in that godforsaken place did not break you. Instead, you broke it; anything else from you would have shamed my blood. Yes, I believe you are on the right path, but there are some small misunderstandings you still have about me. You know what? Run your speculations by me, and I shall correct your mistakes, but first, sit with me and look at endless realms scattered in the darkness. It is stark, but there is a beauty here that can easily be missed, and when Chaos descends, all of this may be gone. War is coming, one that I’m sure that you took a healthy part in inciting, so look at all of this before it is gone.”
Rowan paused as he considered the words of Seed, and then he nodded, and he sat beside the old man, a chair made from plasma, appearing beneath them, and from within the star, they watched all of the existence they could see, and for immortals of their power, they could see far.
“How did you find me?” Rowan asked after a while,
“Your Supreme Circle leaves a trace that I can detect. I know you took it off while inside Doom Star, but even its absence was enough of a void for me to follow. Its memory still echoes if you know how to look for those sorts of things, and I do.”
“Oh,” Rowan said and went silent once more as he watched the stars. They remained in this manner for hours, perhaps even days, time was fluid, especially when it was meaningless to them, only events occurring counted.
An immortal could stay in a single place for a trillion years, but they would only count the time that passes when they make changes to their environment.
“You know, before the Frozen Road, there were far fewer dimensions, but they were so much brighter then. They needed to be, you see, else they would have been lost in the darkness, and it was a hobby of mine to just watch them swimming in the darkness, like tiny fishes in a grand black river. If you can believe it, every single one of them had distinct colors… every single one. It was amazing. A miracle.”
As Old Man Seed spoke, he began to point into the air and a mirage appeared around the reality that Rowan could see, and that reality began to transform into a scene that was set at the beginning of the Supreme Era,
“And then Primordial Chaos created his damned road. I was there, I believe I was standing right at that position, when it came blasting over the lower realms like a flood, crossing through time and space, and although it took billions of years for it to grow to encircle the entire great darkness, its light had killed the glow of every dimension the instant it was created, it was like seeing a miracle being replaced by mediocrity.” Seed pointed deep into reality, warping space and time so Rowan could see the precise place he had been standing,
“The war against the Breakers and the powers that stood against the Primes had reached a feverish peak; I had just killed a Breaker; that stubborn bastard nearly killed me, and even in death he left me a present,” waving his hand, he gestured to his appearance, “he made me old, and from that moment forth…hahaha, I was no longer Seed, but Old Man Seed, hahaha, of course then I could not see the humor in it, for I was quite beautiful and the ladies, they loved me, and I admit I loved them too, good thing I could have your mother before I was cursed with old age, else you would not have existed, or if you did, you might come out old, which come to think of it would be a funny sight, to see an old infant. Somehow I think you would make it work… you are creative.”
Rowan nearly rolled his eyes, “Now that we are getting so talkative, then it would be great to know if I have a grandmother, don’t you think? You said you loved the ladies, so surely one of them must have been the one to give you Elura.”
“Ah…. History, I should expect questions like this, you are on the verge of the sixth-dimensional level, and it is natural that you are becoming more curious about the past, that itch that you need to scratch gets worse with every moment that passes… but by that look of surprise in your eyes, and that funny position of your face, I can see that you are not aware of the changes that happened to those with deep memory connections like ours on the verge of the sixth-dimensional level.” Rowan’s eyes lit up; even if Seed had not fully explained what he meant by deep memory connections, he could already begin to infer what he meant. Vraegar, Andar, and Staff were at the edge of the sixth-dimensional level, plus the many sixth-dimensional immortals he had come across, yet, none seemed to have this urge to understand more about their past like him.
This urge was so serious he could not even fully activate his bloodline until he understood the past; it was as if, without it, he would not be complete. Were there more to Primordial Bloodlines the closer they got to higher dimensions? Did he need to resolve an issue that bound him still to his Primordial roots before he could safely ascend to his new Origin bloodline?
“Oh, Rowan, this was me, was I not dashing?! If you return to the Land of Miracles, I fear many would think it’s me, the resemblance is quite uncanny.” Interrupted from his musing by Seed’s surprisingly loud question, Rowan looked to the place that Seed was pointing at. It was a vision into the past where he saw someone who resembled him but with much stronger features. He had long green hair, and his muscular body was covered with blood as if he had just waded out of a battlefield. His eyes were piercing, and he held two great blades that seemed to be made out of wood; there was something enchanting and extremely dangerous about this figure that drew your eyes.
Rowan frowned a bit at the distraction before he bent his head by the side, surprised at his emotions. He was getting a bit irritated at being interrupted during his musing, and he quickly checked that part of him; he was not yet omnipotent, and he could not disregard the powers of Seed here because if his suspicions were correct, then Seed might be far more than he appeared on the surface. Emotions were necessary, but he had to put a lid on it and should not grow arrogant. His Origin Bloodline may even play a part in these new feelings, and he must be careful.
Breathing in and out carefully, Rowan regulated his emotions and he slowly asked,
“The Breaker who made you old, what was their name, and did it affect your powers in any way, this state?”
Seed seemed to be watching the emotions flow beneath Rowan’s face in fascination before he laughed,
“There is no need to be like your mother, always focused on watching herself, making sure that all her plans are perfect, that is no way to live, especially when you have my blood. Ah, I guess our time for relaxation would not be much and there is still much for you to learn about our history and your place in it.”
Rowan sighed, “You have very creative ways of dodging answers Seed, or is there something you want from me before you speak… you are the one who says I should be direct; no more games, old man; I have gone through too much in the last few years to endure this idle chatter for long.”
Seed’s eyes shone and he began to laugh, his voice booming so loudly that the star went out, placing them in darkness, a darkness that erupted into light as Seed willed the star to return,
“You naughty child, of course, I have questions; the purpose of entering Doom Star was to prime you into activating your Supreme Circle, which I can see that you have accomplished; most importantly, it was for you to see the challenges you have ahead in order to conquer that realm. You were supposed to achieve your Supreme Circle, return to the Land of Miracles where you would grow your powers and influence, and then return back to Doom Star to slowly take it apart over the course of billions of years, but in less than two thousand years you succeeded and you stand before me on the precipice of the Dimension of Memory! How the fuck did you think I’m not filled with questions?!”
