Chapter 1432 The Weight Of Truth
Words held power, some more than others, and the words that Rowan was about to speak here, held more power than any of the immortals here had any right to hear of at their stage, maybe even at the peak of their lives, it was a great possibility that they would have never heard half of what Rowan was about to tell them, however, they could not help him fight his battles, if they did not understand the sort of battle they were fighting. Yet, there needed to be a careful balance between what he told them and what he was never going to tell them because some information was too dangerous in the minds of those not suitable to carry it. An example would be that of the Primordial Beast, Divus. This was a being whose every memory had been struck out by the Primordials, and if he was to tell anyone here of her name, they would immediately be corrupted by her influence, and through them, Divus the Primordial Beast would slowly awaken from her slumber and return to reality.
The awakening of a Primordial Memory in the mind of an immortal would be nothing short of catastrophic to the immortals, and not even Eva would be able to withstand the Weight of that Memory, only Rowan was able to hold all of that weight in his consciousness. There were certain loads, no matter how much he would have loved to share, that were bound to him for all eternity, because he was the only one who could carry them.
“As a Breaker, at the moment of our birth, something descends upon us, called a Singularity, and it grants every Breaker special abilities which enhance the potential they were born with. I can’t tell you the capabilities of my Singularity even if I wanted to, I can’t even tell you its name. Some truths are too dangerous to share, and knowing what they can do can destabilize your mind more than any poison could, you only need to know that if you ever come across a Breaker, before you have fully taken the mantle of your potential, you are to flee, do not engage with them, or you will lose.”
As Rowan continued speaking, they were all frozen in place, including Eva, as she finally began to understand what Rowan truly was, she was the only one here who partially understood the significance of a Breaker, because she was there at the beginning of the Primordial War, and she knew that those who led it were Breakers, and although she did not know much about them, she knew they were so powerful that in their hubris, they decided to challenge the Primordials and for a while, it almost seemed like they could have won.
‘Did I once know a Breaker in my past?’ she thought to herself, ‘Why does that word seem to trigger something inside of me that I don’t yet remember?’
If Rowan was aware of the internal dilemma in Eva’s mind, he did not show it, he simply continued to speak,
“With the abilities of a Breaker, there are few in existence that could ever hope to match us, and part of my plans before all of this was for you all to find ways to hunt down Breakers, and if possible transfer their unique gifts to those of you that are receptive to it, but according to classified sources, that would be impossible. It is simply not your Destiny.” Those “classified sources” were obviously the Primordial Record.
In the moments when he was about to banish the World Stele to the Nothingness after he had killed Thenos, he had asked the Primordial Record if it was possible to fuse with the World Stele, and the Primordial Record vehemently refused. This was not even considering the fact that Thenos as an Old One was not dead. Not really, because the Memory of him still resided in the mind of the World Stele, and although his resurrection would be countless times harder than any normal Old One due to his status as a Breaker, the nature of a Singularity was so potent that two of them could not exist in the same body, their powers would cancel each other out, and he could not transfer it to any of his children either because a Singularity uses a source of energy called Destiny, a power that only those at the eighth-dimensional level could touch yet hardly understood, and only special individuals would extremely potent destinies could be fused with.
It was not really about talent or bloodlines; with the powers of a Singularity, a talentless rock could be made the Emperor of Heaven in a day; what they craved was the destiny of certain individuals that were so potent it could reshape reality around them, even as mortals.
If things went according to his plans, when the World Stele returned in the future, alongside a resurrected Thenos, Rowan would not be a fifth-dimensional immortal fighting against an Old One, but he would be at least on the same level as an Old One, alongside powerful allies with him, and Rowan did not care if Thenos was a Breaker, no one was his equal at the same level.
“The path of the Breaker is not for any of you, that I now fully understand, and in my deliberations, a new path opened before me, one that I could never fully understand or gotten access to, but with time and my advancement, that path is beginning to open up, and that is the power of a Class, and after today, you will all be set on a path that would change the course of your destiny, if there is anyone that wants to back out, this is your chance.” Rowan waited for three minutes, and this amount of time for the perception of those here could as well be months. This decision was very important, and he needed to give them the time to process it. He never did things in half-measures, and if he was going to be doing anything, it would have to be monumental, as his actions would be considered madness to most immortals.
After the three minutes had expired, Rowan smiled and tapped the wall behind him, “I want you all to look at this chart; it is a formula I created to access the Map of Reality as I know it. I gained this map from the fragment of the Eye of Time, which is a part of the Primordial of Time.” Rowan could sense the tension ramping up in the air, and he paused for a while to allow those within to adjust to it.
Unlike his exposure to Primordials which he was exposed to even while he was a mortal, most here only heard of these figures in legends, they were all aware of Primordial Domains, and the impossibly powerful figures that created them, but there were not many concern in their hearts about any interaction with Primordials because those beings were so far away from them, they never really considered the possibility of that ever happening.
Primordials were seen as forces of nature rather than any sentient individual, and Rowan was forcing them all to acknowledge that Time, Space, and even the darkness around them were not just concepts, but they were alive, and they had a singular will.
However, what pushed them through this barrier in their heart was the figure in front of them, Rowan.
In their minds, he had almost taken the form of a Primordial. Distant, vast, incredibly powerful, and unknown… if he was by their side, and he believed in them, then they would believe in themselves that they had the right to be here, anything less would be an insult to the trust he had given them.
“I cannot fully transmit this map to you, because the weight of it is too great, but with this chart, you would be able to simplify portions of the map for you to understand. This is very important because while my Angels are consolidating the lower realms, this map would be the road I take to harness the flow of power I will be obtaining from the lower realms to the higher ones. We all know the greatest resources that lower realms have to offer our souls, and I intend to be the gateway by which much of the higher realms get access to it.”
