The Primordial Record

Chapter 1356: Rowan... Unleashed (2)

The destroyer was held over Rowan’s head like an executioner blade, and the moment Thenos was within reach, Rowan was taking his head once more. The infant titan was not used to commandeering its posers and was mostly using his aberrant ability from the eyes on his head, if Rowan could decapitate him, then his offensive potential would become nearly null.

All of these actions needed to be performed quickly for the mind of a higher dimensional being was incredibly astute, and the poisonous nature of the darkness that was corrupting the intellect of Thenos would not remain for long.

Thenos’s body was jerked forward under the pull from Rowan, his infantile frame still bleeding darkness and corruption and screaming like a banshee, this titan could feel the breath of death pouring down on him like a wave, hundreds of eyes in his head was beginning to glow as he directed his gaze at Rowan, but his actions would be too late, he was nearly at the prime location for the blade to fall, but suddenly his body ground to a halt with so much force that his pale white skin nearly went black as blood burst out from every vein he had underneath his skin, and his bones were crushed to powder.

The World Stele had exerted its influence on Thenos, freezing the space around him, and preventing his head from being delivered to Rowan on a chopping block. Every motion from Rowan held an incredible amount of power, and blocking him from pulling Thenos closer had nearly crushed the infant.

Detecting the influence of the World Stele, Rowan frowned, noticing that the sealing force preventing him from pulling Thenos would take too much time to break through and it would give the titan the opportunity to escape from the spear, and so he exerted force on the spear and slashed upward.

Bleeding Edge was not only made for piercing attacks, but for slashing attacks as well, and it could cut through obstacles as easily as any blade.

There was a slight hum like lightning running through a copper wire and the spear erupted from the head of Thenos, flinging blood and gore for millions of miles. Rowan had just sliced the titan from his chest, through his neck, and then slashed through his bulbous head in one clean stroke.

Multiple eyes from Thenos bulged in shock, he had unleashed his devouring attack and his eyes were flashing in an erratic manner, but the massive amount of damage he had just received had scrambled his fragmented consciousness, and his screams of pain and confusion rippled out throughout space and time.

The spear had not risen far from Thenos’ head when Rowan exerted force again and it slashed down, passing through the opening he had made in the skull of Thenos and slicing into the torso of the infant down to his crotch, with the spearhead of Bleeding Edge finally escaping between his legs with a dull hum.

Rowan’s motions were simple, an upward slash followed by a downward slash, and he had bisected the wailing infant in two. This move had consumed nearly twenty percent of the energy that the infant had consumed from Nemesis and Berrion, and it would not take more of these sorts of attacks to drain the energy stores of Thenos down to nothing.

Thenos was not dead, even as an infant he was an eighth-dimensional being who was also a Breaker and supported by a Singularity. The two halves of his body were jerking around, limbs punching and kicking the air with so much force that it was shattering reality all around him, and his eyes were flashing like crazy, fear, pain, and anger clouding his consciousness.

Rowan reversed the spear, as the tip of it glowed black and gold and he began pouring power into it, he was simply waiting for the opening to finish him off as he poised to unleash the power of the Destroyer on Thenos when he felt a sense of danger erupting from Thenos and from the space all around him, and the pressure on his body unexpectedly multiplied by an insane amount.

The World Stele had exerted all of its sealing power on Rowan, focusing everything on his body, but it was not enough, Rowan’s hand did not shake, the power he was gathering only paused for a moment before its upward momentum continued, in a moment he would be turning this titan to ash. However, something changed as the skies above Rowan shattered to reveal something incredibly massive.

Rowan’s Cherubim wings flapped to break away from the sealing of the World Stele, but this pressure was not meant to hold him because it couldn’t, it was simply to delay him.

His head jerked upward and he bared his teeth in anger, barely having the time to brace before the entirety of the World Stele, descending from above slammed into him.

Aerovah, Celestial Dimensional Sector.

Aerovah was famed for being one of the most beautiful realms in the Celestial Dimensional Sector, and it was all due to the vision of its founder and ruler, Ghribba, the Silver Queen.

It was a realm that was a mixture of high technology and nature, melding vast cities and incredibly tall buildings with parks filled with trees, mountains, deserts even oceans.

As one of the realms that were closest to the Celestial Sector yet still managing to hold on to their independence due to the strength of their ruler, Aerovah was a populous and massive realm, and many billions of years ago, Ghribba had separated the realm into seven massive sectors in the form of disks, all had equal shape and from afar the realm resembled a horizontal stack of circular disks.

Each disk was hundreds of times the size of an average universe, and they possessed their own heavens that dictated the celestial bodies that roamed through them.

They were connected to each other with a massive celestial platform that spanned all seven disks, and traveling to each of the disks required paying a substantial amount of resources, because each disk had unique opportunities.

Like many developed realms tend to do, Aerovah had done away with its spherical shape and assumed the enhanced form of a developed civilization.

The first disk of Aerovah was the commercial hub of the realm and one of the most populous, races from all corners of reality flocked to it for trading and many other commercial functions, and at this moment panic was gripping countless trillions across the realm because of the destruction of the Frozen Road.

As a higher dimensional realm, the importance of the Frozen Road to them could not be understated, although its greatest use was to access the lower realms, the Frozen Road soon began to serve another function and that was as a beacon to guide the travelers to the vast reaches of realities.

Most maps in existence used markers placed on the Frozen Road as a guide through the chaotic expanse of reality and now this great compass that had existed since the beginning of the Supreme Era had simply collapsed into nothingness, many travelers were stuck in the realm they found themselves before the Frozen Road collapses and the race to find the solution to this quandary was being pursued as messages and pleas were being sent to the Primordial Domain.

However, the greatest fear in the mind of most was the advent of war, and not the usual wars that happened between realms, but one that would sweep all of reality, an Era ending war. Destroying the Frozen Road could not mean anything less.

At first, every realm like Aerovah had believed that the destruction of the Frozen Road was across a small sector, but when it was revealed that all of it had collapsed, a grand working of a Primordial shattered, ancient stories about the end of the Primordial Era began to circulate around.

Panic had undoubtedly swept through the populace and everyone was on a knife’s edge, seemingly waiting for the other shoe to drop, it was the reason that when the heavens above the first disk of Aerovah shattered and Rowan who was being suppressed by the World Stele blasted out from it, the impact in the minds of the populace of Aerovah was oddly at peace because at least whatever was going to happen had just arrived.

This peace did not save them from the extinction class events that were going to be happening next when Titans began to battle.
