Chapter 3125: Untouchable

Anthea’s raw velocities far exceeded Rui’ by more than an order of magnitude. His speed was so high that only light was faster. Every motion he made sent ripples across the very fabric of space and time.

And yet, he couldn’t lay a single finger on Rui.

His fist surged forth a ferocious force, aiming to blast Rui’s head off his body in a single attack.

Rui gently moved out of the way of the attack in a manner that seemed to defy physics.

Anthea’s eyes flared with determination as he launched three more blindingly swift attacks with destructive momentum.

His fists flew forward in a methodical and recurring barrage of blows that peppered Anthea’s body as he foresaw Anthea’s retaliation, evading the attacks even before they commenced.

By the time they came, he was already out of the way, throwing several more attacks against Anthea, pressuring him even more.

But not before Anthea adaptive evolved.

Rui’s eyes widened as his fist struck what felt like jelly, creating an elastic impact that did no damage.

It was the elastic tissue biotechnology that he had displayed earlier.

Except more advanced.

“Rgh…!” Rui grimaced as the flesh surged back with a tremendous impact against his fist, blasting his attack back. Rui gritted his teeth, launching an even faster onslaught of attacks across Anthea’s body.

And yet again, Anthea’s body deformed elastically, absorbing the impact before turning it around and unleashing it into Rui’s buried fists with great speed and power.

Rui’s fists cracked upon the automatic backlash of the recoil.

Anthea’s eyes lit up with triumph as Rui grimaced in pain, caught off-guard by the improvised genetic adaptive evolution that Anthea had come up with on the spot. The evolutionary supreme commander had adaptively evolved his physiology to not just elastically absorb the impacts of Rui’s attacks, but to instantly turn them around and use them back against Rui’s fists, dealing him enough damage to leave him vulnerable.

Anthea surged forth with blinding speed, threatening to kill Rui in the blink of an eye with the opening that he had created. A sharpened palm surged forth with astronomical destructive power, threatening to behead Rui even as he recovered from the recoil.

And yet, a single whisper escaped Rui.

“Temporal Disharmony.”

Anthea’s eyes widened as his attack froze inches away from Rui’s throat.

The very fabric of reality and time had altered in his eyes, causing time to speed up inexorably, faster than he could process.

It left him unable to react to even the most straightforward attack.

Rui’s fist landed straight on his face, breaking his nose as the impact rocked his head back, causing his whole body to spiral kilometers away in a split second. Rui’s eyes flared with determination as he surged forth, activating Nemean Blossom and Hypertrophic Surge to unleash an onslaught of extraordinary attacks that threatened to destroy his body.

BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!

Numerous deeper wounds emerged on Anthea’s body as Rui leveraged the full totality of his power to inflict as much damage on his opponent.

The Hypertrophic Surge allowed him to damage Anthea despite the elastic flesh, while Nemean Blossom protected him from the auto-backlash mechanism that Anthea had genetically created.

Anthea’s body shook as Rui blasted him with a myriad of blows that ravaged his flesh. Despite the fact that Hypertophic Surge and Nemean Blossom made him slower than normal, Anthea couldn’t even begin to react to them because of Temporal Disharmony. Rui continued to maintain a sustained pressure on him, unwilling to allow him to adaptively evolve to his hypnosis.

And yet, he had underestimated Anthea.

“Tricks.”

Anthea’s ethereal voice was full of contempt.

Rui’s eyes widened with shock as Anthea caught his fist effortlessly, as his eyes flared with bloodlust.

“If you speed up my perception of time, then I can counter that by altering my neural speed genetically.”

Anthea’s tone was chilling.

He crushed Rui’s hand with sheer raw force, breaking his bones as his eyes flared with raw bloodlust.

“I have you now.”

He pulled Rui towards him with one hand before unleashing a tremendously astronomical blow of great power.
