He had attained Enlightenment of Self as the large soul model bloomed in all its ephemeral glory. A system of thought that defined the sum totality of his entire being as a cosmological event.

He understood.

He understood everything.

Everything about him.

He understood the nature of his causality.

He understood how he would act.

How he would move.

What he would say.

What he would feel.

What he would do.

As though a multiverse of himself existed within his mind.

Infinite possibilities.

And he knew how he would act in each and every one of them. The very foundation of the way he looked at himself changed.

No longer did he look at himself as ‘I.’

He looked at himself the way the universe would.

A cosmic event.

Born from endless causality.

Born to give birth to endless causality.

It was an unfathomable state of mind.

An ephemeral state of consciousness.

An extraordinary state of awareness.

This was Enlightenment of Self.

On the verge of death, he had achieved Enlightenment of Self.

For the first time in his entire life, he experienced peace and tranquility within his soul.

The pain of losing his mother. The fear of watching the people he loved die.

The fear of watching human civilization erode.

And horror of the truth of his reincarnation.

They no longer existed in the depths of his heart.

It gave birth to an extraordinary degree of harmony between mind and soul, eroding away the ephemeral barrier between them. In that moment, an astronomical flood of information flowed between the conscious mind and the subconscious mind. A flood of information so exponentially unfathomable that it far exceeded anything Rui had ever experienced before.

There were more neuron connections in the brain than atoms in the entire universe.

And now, each and every single one of them was put to full use.

A tsunami of neuron impulses flooded his entire brain as the sheer electrical current flowing through his head increased exponentially.

An avalanche of neuron impulses starting from the pons, the medulla, the cerebellar cortex flowed through the cerebellum, the occipital lobe, through the parietal lobe and the central sulcus of the mid-brain, and into the cerebral cortex, frontal lobe and the temporal lobe of the cerebrum.

An extraordinary amount of information flooded across the sum totality of his mind and brain.

His environmental awareness elevated to an entirely different Realm of fathoming.

His conscious perception of the world surged to a dimension of its own. His understanding of the very ontology of the universe evolved beyond mortal fathoming.

He could see the flow of causality from the distant past, trickling through him as a nexus into the distant future.

He could behold materia at its very root.

What he once perceived as solid matter comprised of solid fundamental particles that banded together to form atoms and molecules were actually simply energy at their very essence.

They were fields of energy.

Quantum fields of energy that interacted with the Higgs field and the strong nuclear force that gave them the physicality and substance that he perceived as ‘mass’ and matter.

Everything was energy.

Everything was a wave, a field, and a particle.

What they were depended on whether or not they were being observed.

What the universe was dependent on was whether it was being observed.

The universe only existed because Rui was there to observe it.

He was the protagonist not just of his own life, but of the very universe itself.

The Martial Soul was more than just a part of the brain.

It was more than just the subconscious mind.

It was an extraordinary state of mind of universal metacognition that facilitated astronomical neuroconductivity and exponentially greater cognitive flux across all parts of the brain and mind.

He could perceive every inch of tissue in his body.

He could communicate with every cell.

He could communicate and control all of them through a variety of channels such as neurotransmitters, hormones, cytokines, and other biochemical communication systems that connected him to every cell in his body.

Seconds away from death, he had attained his Martial Soul.

Seconds away from death, he had attained the power of a Higher Realm.

The power of the Sage Realm.

His mind and soul elevated into an extraordinary Realm of power.

And with it, so did his Martial Embodiment.

Fearfully.

With awe and horror.

It shook as the Water that ferociously eroded the entirety of the world around him grew astronomically stronger than ever before. Enhanced by both Gigabrain and his Martial Soul, the Embodiment grew exponentially more powerful than it ever had been.

The Martial Embodiment flooded the entirety of the Gu.

In the blink of an eye, countless people were flooded with endless Water.

Their minds broke.

The sheer ferocity of Rui’s Embodiment eroded their mind in an instant.

In the blink of an eye, billons of people, beasts, and monsters within the Gu died.

They simply died.

Their eyes grew vacant and hollow.

A lifetime of memories.

A lifetime of thoughts.

A lifetime of emotions.

A consciousness built over their entire lives.

The sum totality of who they were.

It was all gone.

Erased.

That wasn’t all.

The Gu was supposed impenetrable.

Nothing that happened within it was supposed to ever be visible outside.

And yet, not even the impenetrable darkness of the abyss of the Gu could withstand the sheer force of Rui’s Martial Embodiment.

The darkness fought back.

It fought back as hard as it could.

It grit its teeth and clenched its fists, pushing back against the extraordinary Martial Embodiment of Water.

And yet, it could not.

It could not hold back the sheer information flux that exploded from the depths of Rui’s astronomical mind.
