The Invincible Full-Moon System

Chapter 1403: Rebirth of the Invincible Apparition

Angered, Elder Tilrith taught a lesson to the Werewolf and put it down in an instant.

It wasn't even Rex so she couldn't stand the humiliation from a nobody.

Even though she was surprised that it could sustain—and even protect the cabinet, from one of her strongest abilities, her Hellgate Ruination, it didn't mean she couldn't take it down with a few simple moves.

On the other hand, Mavenna watched this with a mix of shock and confusion.

She was shocked that Elder Tilrith could handle the situation as easily as that, and confused as to how the Inner Fang—that belonged to the Emperor was that weak, when in actuality, it should've been as strong as the Emperor when he went berserk.

Curious, she glanced to the side and noticed Rex's expression pale.

He was somehow petrified and stunned on his spot as if someone has gripped his heart.

Noticing his weird reaction, Mavenna approached him and asked.

"What's wrong?"

"..."

"Do you know what's happening? Can you explain?"

"..."

Rex didn't answer, his lips moved—wanting to say something but no voice came out.

'He's shaken. I've never seen him like this before,' Mavenna thought, the Rex in front of her at this moment was completely different, from the one she was used to seeing. 'But it is clear—that cabinet has rattled him. I can tell'

Feeling the bad omen, Mavenna turned toward Elder Tilrith.

Her eyes narrowed with resolve, 'I need to warn her!'

Since the Werewolf which was most likely the Inner Fang was defeated already, there was nothing standing between them and the last trench. Instead of checking the cabinet, they could ignore it and go to the last trench and finish this cleaning process.

No need to risk it and see what lies inside the cabinet.

However, despite her resolve, it came too late—Elder Tilrith was already by the cabinet.

Reaching out her hand to the handle of the cabinet, where the sound of crying, came from, Elder Tilrith pulled it open and found exactly as she expected, a young Human boy. He was crumpled like a ball, crying to his knees.

Elder Tilrith could see his entire body was shaking, the smell of fear was thick from him.

Seeing this, she tilted her head in confusion.

'Is this the prince? Why is that Werewolf protecting him?' Elder Tilrith pondered.

Snapping out of her trance, she reached out her hand to gently nudge the crying little boy.

"Little prince, is that you? Come out, it's okay" She called with a surprisingly gentle tone.

As soon as she said that, the crying stopped and the little boy's body ceased to tremble.

Elder Tilrith waited for a moment to see if it was really Rex.

But then, out of nowhere, her danger sense rang, sending danger signals into her brain.

In an instant, she leaped back—creating a good distance between her and the little boy.

Kyran, Iris, and Mavenna were surprised when she did that.

Had any onlooker other than them seen this, they would've found the sight very ridiculous.

For someone of Elder Tilrith's caliber, a Demon Queen and the chosen one to wield the Sin of Lust—creating a distance, against a fabricated little boy, in someone's mind was ridiculous. It was too unbelievable.

But that was exactly what had happened.

'What happened?' Elder Tilrith's eyes widened. 'My body moved on its own, this is new to me'

Despite showing what many would consider a shameful act, there was a smile on her face.

She was excited as there was little life could offer that could surprise her.

Any surprises, she welcomed them with open arms.

Even in this kind of dangerous situation, she was smiling instead of panicking like the normal.

Soon enough, she focused back again when the little boy made his move.

In a slow and composed manner, the little boy lifted his small head from his knees.

He peeked at Elder Tilrith.

It was a harmless move but Elder Tilrith's eyes widened when he saw the young boy's eyes.

A gaze that she never expected to receive from a literal child.

Not to mention, once she made eye contact with the little boy, who was supposed to be Rex, a violent shiver ran down her spine. Almost instantly—she turned to Mavenna and shouted at the top of her lungs, "Mavenna! Protect their souls!"

However, before Mavenna could even react, time suddenly slowed down around them.

Everything became extremely silent.

Only their heavy breaths realizing the situation was escalating could be heard loud and clear.

Just then, everyone's eyes were fixed on the little boy who crawled out of the cabinet—and stood straight. His frugality—and fear were nowhere to be seen. It was replaced by an air of sheer coldness that seeped and stabbed into the bones.

Seeing this, Elder Tilrith wanted to conjure a shield but the little boy was faster.

Upon raising his gaze to look at the people who invaded his space, his body burst.

A torrent of unknown energy, translucent and cold, exploded from his body and struck Elder Tilrith as well as the others. It wasn't a physical blow—once the energy made contact—their souls were instantly knocked out of their bodies.

Kyran and Iris were pushed back.

But instead of falling to their bottoms, they floated behind their fleshy bodies instead.

Both of them watched in horror as their real bodies slumped to the ground.

It was so shocking that the two of them were stunned.

Similarly, Mavenna also went through the same, and her soul is almost knocked out.

She could feel her soul was being extracted out but she managed to hold it in.

Only Elder Tilrith was the one who was strong enough to resist—the fierce rush but she was not exactly unaffected. She gasped in air rapidly, the burst of energy struck a heavy blow to her mind to the point that she wanted to vomit.

Gritting her teeth, she threw her hand forward and summoned a soul barrier.

However, the little boy only tilted his head menacingly as another burst happened.

Splash!

It shattered the soul barrier and hurled Elder Tilrith rolling across the floor.

Recovering from the momentum, she gritted her teeth, 'We need to get out of here!'

Despite her confidence, this thing, whatever it was—was too strong.

Defeating it would be too hard to do.

Elder Tilrith would need to gamble her life in order to defeat this thing and that's not ideal.

In this fabricated space that was only the projection of Rex's inner mind—this little boy holds the absolute power. None of them could stand a chance against him. If Elder Tilrith could not then the others have zero chance.

Moving quickly, Elder Tilrith extracted the hell-void energy she used to construct this place.

Purplish energy from the surroundings was being sucked by her.

And visibly, the fabricated place began to crack as the entire place crumbled without her.

Even the little boy watched as his space was crumbling but there was no chance in his face, he observed the crumbling space without a hint of worry. Elder Tilrith smiled, "I thanked you for this new experience but I have to end our encounter prematurely, it's a shame"

Upon hearing this, the little boy was still silent.

But then, as the space was about to crumble—he turned to Elder Tilrith.

His face was devilishly cold, the kind of face that could scare Demons themselves.

"End our encounter...?" the little boy muttered as he tilted his head. "Who decided that?"

Splash!

Immediately after he said that—the stream of hell-void energy that belonged to Elder Tilrith was severed. Elder Tilrith was sent stumbling back as she lost her link with her own energy, it was almost as if the hell-void energy constructing this space was taken over.

Despite almost shattering, the place returned back to normal.

Seeing this, Elder Tilrith turned to the others, "Swim back to your flesh at once! Qui-rghk?!"

Not even given the time to finish her sentence, the little boy grabbed her neck.

In a flash, he closed the distance between them, appearing before Elder Tilrith in the blink of an eye. He then used his invisible energy, to seize her by the neck, and lifted her effortlessly off the ground as if she was no more than a helpless sheep.

Elder Tilrith's hands shot to her throat as she dangled mid-air.

She tried finding the energy that was choking her but she couldn't interact with it.

All she could try to grasp was air.

On the other hand, Mavenna already stabbed the ground with the tip of her wings and made a barrier. Despite the turmoil inside—seeing that Elder Tilrith could not take down the space, even though the space was dependent on her, Mavenna reacted.

Iris and Kyran behind her were frantically trying to swim back to their bodies as instructed.

None of them knew what was going on—so listening to Elder Tilrith was the only way to go.

Unlike the others, who were practically fighting for their lives out of fear for the little boy, Rex was still motionless. A bead of cold sweat ran down the side of his face—as he fixed on what was going on in front of him.

His lips quivered, the sight of the little boy brought back bad memories.

Is... Is that the Invincible Apparition? No, that can't be. I have already conquered it.

Rex was in a state of shock, the sight of the Invincible Apparition caught him by surprise.

He still remembered clearly, how the Invincible Apparition took control of his body, the desire to do atrocious, and evil things was akin to eating for the Invincible Apparition. Rex had never expected that it would come back.

Inside his chest, his heart was pounding.

And that pounding became more intense when the Invincible Apparition turned towards him.

Slowly, his lips curved into a devious smile.

Just then, without regard—the Invincible Apparition threw Elder Tilrith away.

He then turned towards Rex before walking with steady steps.

Seeing this, Rex unconsciously took a step back in fear but with a blink of his eyes—the little boy that he recognized to be his suppressed Invincible Apparition reached a few steps away from him.

It was sudden as if the Invincible Apparition could blink in and out of reality.

Rex looked down at the pair of devilish crimson eyes that were peering through him.

"I am you..." the Invincible Apparition said hauntingly. He lets his words linger in the air for a brief moment, before leaning closer, "As long as you're alive—I am alive. I'm a part of you. A part who wanted to realize what you truly want"

Faced with the Invincible Apparition, Rex was truly crumbling.

But he regained his composure, biting down his teeth to stay strong in front of this evil entity.

"I've conquered you," Rex said firmly. "I can do it again and again"

Smirking slightly—the Invincible Apparition took a few steps forward, shattering the barrier that Mavenna had created as if it were nothing. He was unstoppable, the space is his—and there was no power that could stop him here other than himself.

Once he reached a step away from Rex, he stopped.

"You did..." the Invincible Apparition said as he lifted his small index finger.

And with it, he reached forward and touched Rex.

Almost instantly when Rex's soul projection was touched—more cracks appeared and on top of that, black spots, began appearing. Even though Rex wanted to pull away, he couldn't, the Invincible Apparition rooted him in place.

Exposing a cold and murderous look, the Invincible Apparition added, "But I have help now"

"Help...?" Rex muttered in confusion.

Of course—his mind went to the fact that he now began devouring flesh and that might have an impact, on bringing the Invincible Apparition back. But for some reason—he could tell that it wasn't that.

Surely, the Invincible Apparition was referring to something else.

"I'll see you very soon," the Invincible Apparition said. "that's a promise..."

Splash!

Upon saying that, the entire space fractured and everything returned to normal.

It was Mavenna, she grabbed the trinket earlier from Rex with her tail and used it.

A portal was opened on the side, King Jorik stepped in before looking around.

Sensing the tension in the air around then, he raised an eyebrow, "What happened?"
