Chapter 1039 - 1039: Saved The Universe In His Past Life

Half a day after Thirteen returned to Casimir City, four planes landed at the fortress, carrying his grandfather and elite fighters from the Leventis, Ashford, and Stallard Clans.

Two hours later, three more planes arrived, this time bringing Lawrence—the Grand Marshal of the Central Government, and his private army, which he had spent decades nurturing.

Without the influence of Aaron and Norman, all the powerhouses in Pangea now gathered in the Cygni Continent to fight for humankind.

“It’s been a while since we have all gathered like this,” Lawrence said with a smile. “Let’s all have a good time, shall we? Cheers!”

“”Cheers!””

Everyone in the restaurant raised their glasses before taking a drink.

All the Monarchs and the Thrones of Pangea were currently having dinner in the most luxurious restaurant of Casimir City, which they had reserved for their gathering.

Princess Laventia and her succubi were also there to participate in this event.

Naturally, the members of the Hero Party had come as well.

The other influential guests included the Heirs of prestigious families, specifically those who had decided to join the fight for their future.

Kane Stallard was also there and had gone to Shasha’s side, attempting to score some brownie points.

Shasha treated him coolly, but this was her default attitude, and Kane was already used to it.

Thirteen had also allowed Princess Aracelle and Shana to join the party since he was certain that the Azothralls wouldn’t dare to make a move at this point in time.

“Is this all the powerhouse of your world?” Princess Laventia asked Roland, who was seated by her side.

“Yes,” Roland replied. “Why?”

“… I’m surprised you guys could keep your lands with only this much strength,” Princess Laventia whispered because she didn’t want the Monarchs and Thrones to overhear her words.

Roland coughed lightly because this was the truth.

He was also painfully aware that the only one whom the Jinns feared at this point was Zion Leventis.

Wanting to tease him more, Princess Laventia leaned in close and whispered in his ear.

“Who’s more beautiful?” Princess Laventia asked. “Me or the Saintess?”

Roland had confessed that he was in love with Shana, so the Succubus Princess treated the Saintess as her love rival.

The Hero glanced at the Saintess, who was dressed simply for the occasion, and the succubus princess, who dolled herself up just for him.

Due to his request, Princess Laventia wore a more conservative dress. He had no intention of controlling her dressing, but he found it difficult to manage his jealousy whenever other young men stared at her.

Unfortunately, his request did not end up with the outcome he desired. The succubus princess was beautiful, so even if the dress she wore covered most of her body, her curves still stood out, and her looks mesmerized the heirs of the Prestigious Families.

“…” Roland didn’t answer the question and simply took a sip of champagne from his glass.

Clearly, he still had feelings for Shana and didn’t want to compare her to Princess Laventia.

Perhaps understanding his thoughts, she no longer pressed him for an answer.

She understood that relationships couldn’t be built in a day, so she decided to be more patient and give Roland some time to accept her for who she truly was.

Just then, a soft laugh escaped her lips. It was light, graceful, but tinged with mischief.

“You know,” Princess Laventia said, swirling the wine in her glass. “Succubi aren’t used to waiting. We’re creatures of passion and desire. But… I think I’ll make an exception for you, Roland.”

The young man turned to her, surprised by the sudden shift in tone. The playful jealousy was gone, replaced by something… gentle.

The lights of the center of the dance hall glinted in her eyes as she looked ahead, watching the Wanderers dance and paying close attention to Shana, who was speaking to her grandfather, Lawrence.

“She stands out,” Laventia said softly. “She has this glow I can’t replicate. You know? Like moonlight on water. I understand why you look at her that way.”

Roland opened his mouth to speak, but she raised her hand to stop him.

“I’m not giving up, though,” Princess Laventia said, her voice firm and confident. “Because even if she lights your world, I can be your warmth.”

The Hero didn’t respond immediately, but his hand tightened slightly around the stem of his glass.

“…I didn’t expect this from you,” Roland said quietly.

Laventia raised a brow. “What were you expecting? A temptress who couldn’t keep her hands to herself?”

“A temptress,” Roland said, turning his gaze back to the ballroom, “I admit that’s my general opinion about all succubus. It only changed when I met you and your kind.”

Princess Laventia shook her head. “We are what you think we are. It just so happens that I fancy you, and I wish to be with you for real. Don’t think of me as the standard for the succubus race. We indeed tempt those with weak wills and seduce them. That’s what we are.

“But know this, I never used the art of seduction on you. What you saw and felt—they were all real. I just want you to remember that, okay?”

Roland nodded as he gave her hand another light squeeze, making Princess Laventia smile faintly.

Truth be told, Princess Laventia no longer felt Shana as a threat.

Why?

Because just like her, Shana was a young lady in love.

Princess Laventia had seen how the Saintess would sneak glances at Zion, her eyes filled with warmth and tenderness.

It was very obvious that she only had eyes for the teenage boy, whom her sister had been praising as of late.

Although she felt a little sorry for her beloved, she decided to keep this a secret from him.

She believed that Roland needed to discover this for himself. Even if she told him that the Saintess was in love with Zion, he might only think she was trying to get in the way of his feelings.

Her gaze then landed on Mikhail, who was Thirteen’s older brother.

Just like Roland, he was quite the looker.

Although she felt a little bad, she might have fallen in love at first sight with Mikhail if she had seen him first instead of Roland.

But things were different now.

She had already surrendered her heart and body to the person whom she had chosen, and she would see to it until the end.

A moment later, Princess Laventia shifted her gaze to Zion, who was talking to Clark in the distance.

“From now on, all your clansmen will be under your command,” Thirteen said. “If there is anyone who defies your order, come to me, and I’ll make sure that they’ll be fed to the Jinns in the future.”

Thirteen didn’t mince or lower his words, making sure that those who were near him were able to hear his subtle threat.

The Ashford and Stallard Clans, who had been forced to participate in the war, knew full well that their survival depended on the whim of the Leventis Family.

As such, none of them would defy Thirteen’s order, even if they had to ingratiate themselves with Clark, who had been kicked out of the Ashford Clan by Aaron in the past.

“I’ll take good care of them.” Clark nodded. “Thank you, Zion, for everything.”

“It’s all because you made the right choice that day,” Thirteen replied. “If you didn’t take my hand, I would have left you alone.”

Clark smiled faintly because that decision had indeed changed his life for the better.

Although he had been exiled from the Ashford Clan, he found a new calling by becoming one of Thirteen’s subordinates.

Also, if not for that, he and Char might not have become a couple, which he thought was the greatest blessing he received after breaking off with his family.

Suddenly, Vincent appeared, dragging out an older man to meet with Thirteen.

“There you are, Zion,” Vincent said. “I don’t think you’ve met my father before. This is my Father, Nestor Osborn. Father, this is my friend and superior officer, Zion Leventis.”

“It’s a pleasure to finally meet you, Sir,” Nestor greeted Zion in a friendly manner. “I hope my troublesome son hasn’t caused you any trouble.”

The middle-aged man was currently the Patriarch of the Osborn Family, one of the Ten Prestigious Families.

“Vincent hadn’t caused any trouble within our battalion,” Thirteen replied. “In fact, I am indebted to him. He had given me a lot of advice, which had helped me grow as an individual. Meeting him is a blessing in this lifetime.”

Vincent was so touched that he decided to write another notebook, which would teach the teenage boy how to do it with multiple partners.

As the Master of Love, how could he not know the looks of the ladies around Zion?

In fact, he was shocked when he realized that Shana was looking at his friend with such a tender gaze, which practically gave away her true feelings for the boy.

‘I should also write the recipe for some tonics that he can drink to make him last longer,’ Vincent thought. ‘Damn, this kid is making me envious by the lineup of his future wives.’

Erica, Sherry, Shana, and Princess Arcelle.

Any of these four exceptional ladies would be enough to make someone feel that they were the luckiest guy in the world.

And yet, all of them had chosen Zion as their life partner, which made Vincent wonder if the teenage boy had saved the universe in his past life.
