“Now, can you tell me why you cherry-picked my sister?” Princess Xynalia asked, staring at the young man with her arms crossed over her chest. “Are you interested in her cherry?”
“… Sister.” Princess Laventia’s face turned beet red after hearing her sister’s words.
“You’re surprisingly innocent for a succubus,” Thirteen said to Princess Laventia. “Are you still chaste? I still remember your interest in Roland. Do you want to eat him up? If yes, I can knock him unconscious for you.”
“… You would?”
“I would.”
For a brief moment, Princess Laventia wavered. After all, Roland was the first person who piqued her interest after she crossed over to Pangea.
He was very handsome and looked very charismatic on television.
With the devil named Zion offering to serve the Hero to her on a silver platter, Princess Laventia gulped in temptation.
Princess Xynalia had also seen Roland and liked his looks.
However, she was now more interested in Zion. Although the latter wasn’t as good-looking as Roland, his potential was greater.
“We’re getting off topic,” Princess Xynalia raised her hand. “Tell me why you need my sister for your operation to capture the Azothralls. Just so you know, my sister might be beautiful, but she’s a scaredy cat. She only bullies the weak and fears the strong.”
“Sis, just whose side are you on?” Princess Laventia pouted, making her sister giggle.
“I’m on your side, of course,” Princess Xynalia replied. “Why do you think I asked Zion why he picked you for the team that’s supposed to take on the Azothralls?”
Knowing the conversation might veer off topic once more, Thirteen explained the reason why he needed Princess Laventia’s help.
The two succubus listened with serious expressions, finally understanding why Princess Laventia was needed to make Zion’s plan work.
“That is indeed a good plan,” Princess Xynalia nodded. “It might just work.”
Princess Laventia nodded in agreement. The strategy the teenage boy had shared was truly exceptional.
Not only was her safety basically guaranteed, but her contribution would also be the greatest of all. However, she still had one concern.
“How did you learn about that special ability of mine?” Princess Laventis asked.
“Your Rank 7 Nightkiss Moth told me,” Thirteen replied.
“That traitor…” Princess Laventia’s facepalmed, not expecting that one of her loyal subordinates would divulge one of her secrets. “Did you torture it to give you any information about me?”
“No.” Thirteen shook his head. “I didn’t use torture. I just gave it some benefits, and it spilled the beans without holding back.”
“”Liar.””
Princess Laventia and Princess Xynalia said at the same time. Both of them could faintly tell that Zion was lying, so they called him out without hesitation.
“Let’s put that aside for now,” Thirteen stated. “So, will you lend us your strength?”
“Will you give me Roland in exchange?” Princess Laventia asked.
“Of course. I’ll knock him unconscious for you.”
“Deal!”
“Wow, you must really hate him, huh?” Princess Xynalia giggled. “Imagine sending him to a Succubi Princess with a smile on your face. I can’t tell whether you’re evil or you just want to get rid of him.”
Thirteen could only smile. Knowing how Fate worked, Roland would certainly be saved from getting eaten up by the Succubus Princess.
Though if nothing saved him, maybe he’d end up enjoying himself and forget about Shana completely.
Either way, the Hero’s sacrifice was needed in order to catch the Azothralls.
Even though Thirteen was “reluctant” to offer him on a silver platter to Princess Laventia, he had to steel his heart for the bigger picture.

Somewhere in Casimir City…
Roland suddenly felt a chill run down his spine, making his body shudder.
“What’s wrong?” Derek asked.
“Nothing,” Roland replied. “I just felt like I was in danger all of a sudden.”
“Ah, that might be Zion thinking about you,” Derek commented casually. “Should we get some pizza?”
“Pizza sounds good.” Roland nodded. “Do you really think Zion is planning to do something bad to me?”
“Master does it to me all the time,” Derek answered. “It’s a normal thing.”
Roland frowned. From his point of view, Zion was a rival, and he had tagged the other party as a danger.
It didn’t help that his usually accurate sixth sense warned him of a threat. As to whatever that threat was, he had no idea and could only wait to face whatever situation in the future.
———
After receiving Princess Laventia’s agreement, Thirteen informed them that the operation would start after four days.
“Don’t forget, my ability can only last for three hours at most,” Princess Laventia said. “Any more than that, and the plan will fail.”
“Then we must ensure it won’t fail,” Thirteen replied. “After all, the Azothralls will not be tricked a second time. We only have one chance, and we should make it count.”
Princess Laventia nodded because Zion was right.
The plan in itself was solid, and as long as the right conditions were met, they might be able to wipe out the Azothralls once and for all.
In two days, Nautilus would finally reach the seas of the Cygni Continent, giving Thirteen some support fire that he badly needed.
Princess Xynalia wanted to chat with Zion more, but he made an excuse, saying he needed to refine the strategy that he was planning to use against the Azothralls.
Left with no choice, the princess left with her sister and asked Thirteen to meet her after the operation was over.
Thirteen agreed, deciding it would be best to agree if he didn’t want the Princess to keep bothering him in the future.
He had a succubus host once, so he understood what the princess was thinking.
‘I guess I’ll just have to tie up Derek and throw him as a package deal with Roland,’ Thirteen mused. ‘He will finally be useful.’
———
Inside the Pizza Store.
“I suddenly felt a chill,” Derek said. “Oh no, Master is planning to do something bad to me.”
Roland looked at his friend, not knowing how to feel.
The two of them didn’t know that both of them were now going to be used to become sacrifices for the greater good of humanity.
