He had a feeling that this woman wasn’t so simple.

Hearing this, Alaric frowned.

If he didn’t have the Appraisal trait, he wouldn’t have known that she was lying. Her acting skills were also very good.

A moment later, the group arrived at a local hotel which was relatively high-end.

“I will see you later.” Giovanni sent him an ambiguous smile before pulling his slave to their room.

After he left, Alaric turned his head to Mathilda. “Follow me.”

Mathilda followed him and stared at his back with a contemptuous look.

Upon entering their assigned room, Mathilda undressed herself and clung onto his arm as she whispered in a sultry voice.

“Let me serve you, my lord.”

Turning his head, Alaric saw her staring at him with undisguised lust.

He could feel her breasts and her skin rubbing against his arm. It made him feel a bit hot inside, but he repressed his desire and stared coldly at her.

Alarmed by his emotionless eyes, Mathilda subconsciously stepped back.

Alaric remained calm in the face of her lies. He leaned forward and whispered into her ear.

“If you tell me who you are, I will spare your life. Otherwise…” Alaric suddenly grabbed her neck, making her gasp for breath.

Alaric released her after a few seconds, making her collapse weakly to the floor.

“Do you want to speak now?” Alaric’s cold voice drifted into her ears.

Mathilda was so scared that she trembled in fright.
