Chapter 607: Chapter 605: Black Flame King

When the joint armies of the three races were unstoppable, the entire sorcerer world, in just a few short months, saw mountains shattered, industries withered, and corpses strewn everywhere, bringing incalculable losses.

At the critical moment, two Void King Wizards returned.

There were seventeen Alien Ancient Kings in total; Ivan had previously suppressed three of them, and King of the Long Sky Galif had taken down five in one fell swoop, causing the rest to flee in disarray.

The tide of the great war suddenly turned.

Thereafter, the revitalized sorcerer army struck out from all sides, spending a full two months to completely eliminate the remaining Alien Race in the Botta Blood Plain, Chanay Continent, and Moon Pincer Peninsula, and thus reclaimed the territories once lost.

The battles of the sorcerer world came to a pause.

Everyone knew this was only temporary, and that a counterattack to the realm of the Alien Race would soon follow, paying back the blood of their own with much more of the Alien Race’s.

Shortly after the end of the battle.

Above the peak of Truth City, within the Truth Hall of the Supreme Council, the Supreme Council convened once again.

This time, the meeting attendees were especially numerous; the Six Great Void Kings seated at the forefront, a host of arcane wizards, and other lordly powers gathered together, nearly filling the entire grand hall which was steeped in a solemn and respectful atmosphere.

“Up to now, the Alien Race has withdrawn from the sorcerer world, and our territories have all been recovered, all thanks to everyone’s concerted effort. We share our glory and disgrace together, and I, as a sorcerer, will skip the formalities. After the war is completely over, we will celebrate our rewards together.”

“Now, our real tasks lie ahead, yet we cannot overlook the vendetta of our race.

“Next, we plan to use our forces against the Lei, Yu, and Heilin races, striking at the Wanren Highlands, Owa Rivers, and the Black Mirage Marsh—-”

Truth Hall has always been a place for free speech, where even arcane wizards can strongly contest the proposals of the Void King.

But no one objected to the words of the King of the Long Sky; after all, the sorcerer world had been bullied so terribly by the Alien Race, they naturally sought to retaliate a hundredfold, even a thousandfold.

From ancient times until now, the battles between races have been just so, unrelated to right or wrong, good or evil.

Galif nodded slightly, the reaction of those present was not unexpected, and he began to mention another matter.

“There’s another issue that cannot be neglected. It has been several years since Hardy Charosi and Ivan Marichardon were promoted to Level 5 Sorcerers, two events that should have been celebrated grandly but have been postponed due to special circumstances.

With the imminent war, everything had to be simplified. We’ve decided on the Void King titles to boost our morale, what are your thoughts on this?”

“It should indeed be the case.”

“That’s exactly what I wanted to say,” said Hardy Wizard.

Hardy and Ivan do not care for these formalities and naturally would not have different opinions.

In fact, Galif had discussed this with the two beforehand, and now reiterating it in front of everyone was merely a procedural affair, even the titles were already agreed upon.

“Then, I, on behalf of the Supreme Council, solemnly declare Hardy Charosi as the ‘King of Green Flood Dragon’ of our sorcerer world, and Ivan Marichardon as the ‘Black Flame King’ of our sorcerer world.”

“Cheers to the King of Green Flood Dragon!”

“Cheers to the Black Flame King!”

“——”

Compared to the arcane wizard titles, the Void King titles are more representative and in themselves a form of deterrent, needing to be concise yet profound.

As such, care had to be taken in their selection, not allowing sorcerers to randomly bestow them.

With Galif’s declaration, waves of congratulatory voices echoed through Truth Hall, and at the same time, metallic magic puppet servants were also proclaiming the news around the peak of Truth City.

In an instant, the city of Truth was filled with celebrations, echoing inside and outside the city walls, sweeping away the gloom brought by the war.

Time flashed by, and a month later.

On this day, numerous majestic airships set out from Truth City, brimming with sorcerers rushing towards distant lands.

As decided by the Supreme Council, a group of sorcerers would split into two forces, each led by three of the Void Kings, aiming to subjugate the Lei Clan, the Feather Clan, and finally settle the score with the Black Scaled Clan.

Such an arrangement was based on the complex environment of the Black Mirage Marsh.

The area is connected to the ocean in secret ways; if the Black Scaled Clan was bent on hiding, searching for them would be troublesome, beyond the reach of lower-level sorcerers, requiring extra consideration.

“Lord Black Flame King, your humble servant Hotter has come to visit.”

The airships designated for subjugating Alien Races were custom-made war models, fashioned in the likeness of Pengs, balanced in all aspects, and particularly outstanding.

Atop the airship stood five sorcerer towers, each housing a space within where mini-airships were docked; the whole structure akin to an airborne aircraft carrier.

As one of the VOID Kings leading the forces, Ivan naturally took command of one of the main vessels, with several Return City Boats following not far behind the main ship.

Not long after the departure, a visitor arrived.

“Roll in.”

“But should I?”

“Knowing that and still so much nonsense.”

“Heh, isn’t it because I’m afraid that with your increased power, becoming the renowned Black Flame King, you’d be too lazy to bother with us unprogressive old friends.”

Amidst the conversation, Hotter walked in, wearing a sheepish smile.

“And now?” Ivan looked at him with a smile that was not quite a smile.

“I always knew Sorcerer Ivan wasn’t that type of person, it’s all Candi’s wild thoughts, nagging and distorting my judgment,” Hotter quickly passed the buck.

Hearing this, the smile on Ivan’s face grew even broader, giving someone a bad premonition.

As expected, along with a familiar voice, a familiar figure followed.

“Sorcerer Hotter, making things up behind someone’s back is not a good habit.”

“Candi, why are you here too?”

“If this sorcerer didn’t come, wouldn’t I be framed and slandered?”

Candi glared at him, eyes sharp as needles, Hotter hurriedly begged for mercy, but in his mind, he wondered why he was so unlucky today.

As if by fate, immediately following on each other’s heels, Tanaya and Grace arrived together.

“Ha-ha, it seems today is destined to be a full assembly day for the Five Leaves Spear, kindred spirits, eh?” Hotter cheerfully praised, relieved to have someone to difuse the situation.

“Don’t forget there’s one obnoxious fellow who isn’t here.”

Tanaya’s beautiful eyes were surveying a certain Black Flame King, and upon hearing his words, she retorted with a curl of her lip.

“That’s easy to fix. According to the charter of the Five Leaves Spear, whoever first attains the title of Void King Wizard becomes the spearhead of the Five Leaves Spear, the ruler of the Leaves, and you as the acting spearhead should step down and yield.”

“I haven’t acted as any acting spearhead for a long time now, and then what?”

“Then it’s a matter of a single phrase, let the new spearhead expel a certain shameless person from the Five Leaves Spear, how do you all feel about this approach?”

Hotter voiced his idea, and then all four turned their gaze towards the seated Black Flame King.

Grace, Hotter, and Tanaya shared a deep relationship; Candi was invited into the Five Leaves Spear at Tanaya’s distant urging, and even if she was not keen on meddling, she harbored sympathy for Tanaya’s plight and dislike for a certain individual.

However, due to the influence of the Supreme Council, the three had not taken any action.

Seeing a suitable opportunity now, they naturally hoped to expel that individual from the Five Leaves Spear to avoid ongoing irritation.

Tanaya, too, was fixing her gaze on the Black Flame King, eyes blazing with barely concealed anticipation.
