Aquarina did the utterly impossible and continued punching the boulders as they fell, one after another, even as the skin of her fists was torn off and then her bloody muscles and cartilages were exposed alongside her bone, she continued jumping, punching, jumping, and punching.

"Aquarina! Stop it! It’s impossible!"

Undine couldn’t stop her no matter how hard she tried, Aquarina wasn’t backing down now. She had grown bored of doing everything the way everyone wanted. Fine she was doing the trial but she was going to complete it her own way.

"Ugh, my fucking hands hurt like hell!"

CRAAASH!

"If you don’t stop they’ll break!"

Your next chapter awaits on

"Then…!"

Aquarina quickly spun in midair as a dozen boulders were within her range, and then kicked them with her still-regenerating legs, one after another, they exploded into smaller stones that fell into the pit.

CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!

"Legs are several times stronger than arms…!" she said. "My mom always said that using the legs to fight must become as normal as using your arms!"

Aquarina gritted her teeth as she reinforced the tip of her foot with several scales and draconic claws, allowing her to kick and destroy the boulders at an even rapid pace.

The problem was that she would lose balance and fall! And unlike Sylphy she lacked the wings in her draconic form to fly.

The alternative was using the Float Spell, but it worked using the surrounding winds, and there was nothing like that here!

"I’ll run out of oxygen if I use wind spells here, which use the wind and any gas to work…" she thought as she crushed dozens of boulders per second. "I have to do something else… I have to… use this ridiculous power in my legs and just kick the damn air!"

She imbued the soles of her foot with her Ki and Mana, concentrating them into several layers of force and then, releasing it at once through Abyssal Embodiment.

The result?!

BAAM! BAAM! BAAM!

She kicked the air itself, reaching higher and higher.

"E-Eh?! It worked?!"

"Eh?!"

Undine was shocked when Aquarina did the impossible.

"Yes, this is it! A new technique!"

The genius and talented Aquarina had attained something that only the strongest beings in the world could use within seconds.

"{Heavenly Step}!"

FLASH! FLASH! FLASH!

She continued moving across the air itself, the sheer strength of her leg muscles was so strong that a mere kick in the air generated a small shockwave, pushing her own body upwards!

And as she finally covered this hurdle, more boulders kept falling. She noticed there were now larger, harder ones.

"Those black ones…!" Undine gasped. "They’re made of iron, Aquarina! You can’t just…!"

"Iron?! That’s weaker than Mithril!" Aquarina roared.

"{Body Enhancement Arts: Mithril Fist}!"

She hardened and materialized her Aura around her fists, creating huge gauntlets made out of her own Aura that shone like silver colored mithril.

BAAM! BAAM! BAAM! BAAM!

Several punches reached the titanic iron boulders, as cracks spread through their bodies, and they exploded into countless pieces once more!

Crack, crack…!

CRASH!

"I’ll do everything on my own way!" she roared. "I don’t care anymore… I’ll carve my own path! I’m coming out of this pit this way! I’m not going to carve or dig my way put! I’ll punch and punch and kick and kick until I fucking get out!"

Aquarina’s azure eyes glowed with bright red color as her aura erupted with both darkness and azure colored light, constantly interchanging between her two auras.

"Aquarina…!"

Undine felt shocked as she saw Aquarina pushing herself even harder than before, but she understood that her master’s resolve to become strong and protect what she loved was much stronger than the pain she or exhaustion she felt.

"Let me help you however I can!"

Undine merged with Aquarina, as she spread out her Spiritual Body through every inch of Aquarina’s body, suddenly imbuing a healing spell, the strongest she had, into her entire body constantly.

"U-Undine?! You could do this?!"

"I didn’t know I could! I’m just trying!"

Undine ended discovering a new ability, Spirit Fusion combined with merging with a Healing Spell, and staying within Aquarina’s body.

FLAAASH!

Her wounds healed faster than before, and because Aquarina no longer had to put her mind into restorative spells, she could fight faster and push herself higher through Heavenly Step.

She continued fighting, for hours, and hours, and hours… Kicking, punching, sighing, gasping, eating, and so on, repeatedly.

She became dizzy at one point, but Leviathan kept infusing spirit energy into her head, keeping her awake.

"Hahh… Hahhh… HAAAHHH!"

She kept kicking the air, punching and kicking the boulders. Small stones constantly exploded and fell over her body as she fought.

Eventually, she was reaching higher and higher, the darkness of the pit slowly became brighter.

She could see the sky above, it was night already, and the boulders kept falling from a magic circle.

Only three kilometers separated her from getting out of here.

And she had been doing this for… three, no, perhaps four days straight, without sleeping, or resting.

Her body constantly overflowed with power combined with exhaustion.

She was constantly cultivating, growing exhausted, and then recovering at an insane pace.

Yet…

Undine suddenly stopped healing her, and her Aura suddenly began growing weaker.

She was reaching her limit…

"A-Ah…!"

She was unable to kick the air anymore, and she fell once more.

"I’ve reached my limits? No… wait a second!"

She gritted her teeth, as tears started falling from her eyes.

"I can’t just… after reaching almost the end!"

She kept falling, as titanic boulder rushed down, piling over her body one after another.

TRUUM! TRUUUM! TRUUUUM!

"No…! No, no, no!"

BA DUM!

Her heart started beating faster and faster as she fell.

Although her body no longer responded to her will.

Whatever leftover energies continued flowing, reaching her draconic heart.

"I won’t fall down here…!"

BA DUM! BA DUM! BA DUM!

"NOT HERE… NOT NOW!"

Her Draconic Heart suddenly started glowing with brown and gold colors, absorbing the powers she had cultivated this entire time.

Her body changed, and so did her entire body, as a new force, a new power started to emerge, evolved from her prior abilities, converged into one.

Her scales became like hard stone, and then became like black metal, steel.

"Go, Aquarina…"

And she heard a new voice whispering to her.

"Surpass your limits."

FLAAASH!
