Chapter 2459: Approach

Just like they discussed, Sam got ready in the next couple of hours.

He disguised himself and entered the portal of the Divine beast graveyard. The moment he entered there, he checked which planet he was in. He landed in the Phoenix planet, luckily.

Right now, the Gambler academy was operating on the Phoenix planet.

Their main competitors are still the Hephaestus and Athena academies combined.

With Sam’s tactics, the Gambler academy wasn’t able to conquer any land, however they still managed to ensure the opponents couldn’t grow that well.

The two academies combined were only able to occupy around 3 percent of the land. The gambler academy just employed various hit and run tactics, destroying every method of the opponents as they tried to establish their dominance.

The Gambler academy was brutal. They used poison, traps and ambushes, anything that would work for them.

The major reason for the success though was a proper surveillance and the weird gadgets Sam made them prepare using the Hub along with the information on their opponents that Sam gave them.

They employed them all perfectly and destroyed the opponents’ plans. Of course, at the same time, they didn’t try to hold on to any territory for themselves.

Still, the area they were residing in was consider their domain and they got 1 percent of the planet. Maybe Phoenix planet was the only one with such little area absorbed.

Hephaestus and Athena academies are furious because of this.

They had to pay a lot to keep the other academies at bay and that price kept on mounting with every passing day. So, they started pushing back.

They increased the number of people and put half of them to find and fight the Gambler academy students. This made the gambler academy’s team to have a hard time.

Sam let his bird puppets out immediately. Soon, one of the bird puppets picked the signal of the tracking device. Sam used the dimensional drifter to arrive at the location.

This was the hide out of the gambler academy team.

There were barely ten members, already awaiting his visit there. They all wore eager expressions, which was a bit surprising to Sam. He thought everyone would still be holding at least some grudge against him.

"Hello, Sam." The leader, a woman named Haziel stepped forward and greeted him. She wore a full battle armor seemed to be crafted out of some fine leather.

"How is your situation?" Sam asked after exchanging some simple greeting.

"Well, the Athena team is on our heels and the Hephaestus team is acting as their support. They are trying their hardest to beat us. So, we don’t know how to proceed forward."

"I don’t understand what your plans are here. It is one thing in the second grade worlds. There whatever I say goes. So, after I conquer a place, I can just leave it alone and no one would touch it.

Same with the places other Gambler teams conquered, my name can hold off the other teams.

But you won’t have a similar effect here. You won’t be able to hold on for too long, even with the formation designs such, considering you are up against two academies.

At least not with this few people.

So, how do you want to forward?"

Sam expressed his concerns.

It is not that it would be impossible to conquer under these conditions, but it would be really difficult and he doesn’t want to take that much time. If he was in the third grade, he could have done it recklessly.

He can still make formations that could hold up against the enemies, he might even be able to fight with them. But the cost is not worth it. There is also a chance that some of his secrets might be revealed.

"What do you suggest?" Haziel asked directly. The senior group didn’t show an hesitance at asking for his help.

They were eager even.

"Slaughter."

Sam’s word stumped them.

"Slaughter?" Haziel asked with a dumb look.

"Yes. That is all I suggest. Target one person after the other and slaughter them in the most brutal way. Show them your ultimate brutality. Desecrate the dead bodies, use them as baits, traps and even for attack.

Don’t show them an ounce of respect and treat them like absolute vermin.

Make their blood boil just from the mere mention of your name…."

"Woah, woah, woah… dude.." As Sam was about to go on, Haziel stopped him from speaking.

Sam paused and looked at her.

"What?" He asked confusion apparent in his eyes.

"Are you crazy? We already have enough enemies, thanks to you. Do you want to make them come after us even crazily?"

"Haziel, there are only two ways to keep all the enemies away. Particularly, when the enmity was for the sake of benefits.

To guard your benefits with all your might until they feel like giving up, or to show them that these benefits are not worth the losses they have to suffer.

We cannot do the first.

But we can do the second and I highly recommend we do.

True, you will make some enemies, in fact, it could even explode even more and you will have to face more enemies. But… I am sure that a lot of other academies wouldn’t get in between. And once you deal with the Hephaestus and the Athena academy, you can have free reign over this planet."

"But what if they go all out? With all of their people rushing in here?"
