Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class
Chapter 402 - 402: Abyss Waters (2/2)Devon and Galnor unleashed a joint attack. Galnor expanded the hammer into a giant projectile and smashed on its head while Devon attacked the pincer’s joint with a powerful ability unleashed from his sword, a slash projectile humming like a million birds, glittering with dark green and golden sparks.
The pincer was cut off before it could strike the two Immortal Kings.
Raicanor obeyed Almond’s orders and focused on defense as usual. Up until now, Raicanor had displayed more defensive powers than offensive as per Almond’s orders, so he had become a guardian for this party, and everyone greatly appreciated him.
The Monster roared with its head getting smashed. From its back, thousands of spikes suddenly unleashed, moving like rockets toward everyone.
Raicanor grunted, using his ability tree’s ability—Citadel of Evermore Abyss, and activating a sub-move from it.
Instantly, everyone was covered by a flickering black storm that stormed with wind and flame.
The blackness itself gave intense power of Death as it was Raicanor’s main element, at Ascent-rank.
As the attacks struck the barrier, they were shredded apart and decayed to dispersion, keeping everyone safe.
The Monster had already regenerated its pincer during that attack.
“As you can see, its attacks and moves are at most within Hyper Speed 1, but its powerful healing speed already reached Hyper Speed 2,” Lyna spoke.
Almond and Lily nodded.
Still, with the Immortal Kings using control-type and debuff-type attacks, Devon, Galnor and Raicanor killed it within the next batch of combo attacks.
The group continued as Lyna stored the monster’s body and soon encountered another Immortal Emperor rank monster.
However, a party of six Immortal Emperors, with three being at early-stage, two at mid-stage, and one at high-stage, was dealing with it—A sea-horse, but it had six tentacles and a bright dark blue flame spark on its tail.
It was more powerful than the weird crab-monster Lyna’s party defeated.
The high-stage Immortal Emperor of that party was a vampire, and was just observing instead of participating in the battle, keeping an eye on the surroundings, so he immediately discovered Lyna and others coming.
But right at that time, a bigger version of that sea horse suddenly rushed towards them.
Its speed was Hyper Speed 3, so only the Immortal Emperors saw it coming…as well as Almond and Lily.
“Shit, that’s a high-stage Immortal-Emperor Monster,” Galnor cursed, taken aback.
That Immortal Emperor Vampire of the other party quickly moved ahead to meet it head-on, but from his expression, it was clear this was going to be tough.
“Help, we’ll split the body.”
The vampire’s voice reached Lyna and the party.
“Let’s go,” Lyna took out a large longbow as her aura surged. Pulling the string, seven arrows manifested before shooting.
*Swoosh!*
The moment the seven arrows howled through the sea, the abyss itself reacted.
Like ink dropped into clean water, black spirals expanded where each arrow flew—unleashing beams of pressure and distortion, forcing the charging high-stage Immortal Emperor Monster to twitch its head mid-flight.
But it didn’t stop.
The six-tentacled sea horse roared, its cry tearing the surroundings into writhing chaos. Every tentacle flashed with runes—blue and black and swept forward like bladed serpents, meeting the arrows and ending them in mutual destruction.
The flame-spark on its tail ignited into a beam of condensed power, aiming straight for the vampire’s lance attack.
“Cover fire!” Lyna shouted, already notching another batch of arrows.
Almond moved first.
His modified Regalon Spirit Armament twisted in his grip—three overlapping barrels humming with distortion. He poured in a concoction of spiral-kinetic force, arcane vibration waves, and a phantom ripple from something beyond the visible spectrum.
Then he fired.
The bullet curved mid-path, exploded into dozens of rotating spirals, and then slammed into the space right beside the monster’s eyes.
*BOOM.*
It wasn’t damage he wanted since he had restricted himself enough not to deal much damage.
What he wanted was distraction.
Next, Lily’s chakrams flared, one circling her waist and another spinning above her palm. She layered Hollow Splendor’s axiom into the outer rings, creating decoy reflections in the Abyss water—phantoms that shimmered like illusions, but hit like truths.
She threw the chakrams in tandem, one angling low, the other arcing high.
The monster tried to dodge with its Hyper Speed 3 against these slower attacks, but Raicanor used Chains of Eclipsed Abyss, instantly binding it.
Lily’s chakrams struck and she activated her powerful control sequence to freeze the Monster further, keeping it bound.
“Perfect,” Galnor grinned.
Galnor and Devon launched their strongest attack without holding back while the Immortal Kings used their control-type moves.
Right after Galnor and Devon’s attacks caused the Monster to receive significant damage, with its tail almost cut off, and head pounded in, Lyna’s new batch of arrows struck before it could heal—three at its tail and three at its head.
*BOOOM!*
A loud cry screeched out from the Monster, but the vampire grunted and unleashed his strongest move, penetrating a two hundred meters long lance right into its head.
The giant monster that was over one kilometer in height was killed with swift and high-intensity combo attacks.
The energy consumption was high despite everyone only releasing one or two moves, so everyone quickly chugged recovery potions for the first time.
Even that vampire chugged it fast.
All except for Almond, Lily, and Raicanor.
Lyna frowned but decided to deal with that later and turned to the vampire. “We’ll be taking 70% of the body, as we have contributed more. Any problem?”
The vampire glanced at their parties while the other five Immortal Emperors also arrived as they finished dealing with the smaller seahorse.
‘What do we do? They are high in number, but we are more powerful.’
‘Leader, this sea monster is a high-stage Immortal Emperor! Last time we encountered one, we got fucked over and couldn’t get any in the end.’
‘Yeah, fuck this party. It’s weaker than us.’
Getting no replies, Lyna’s eyes turned icy.
The vampire also took out an artifact, a blood-red orb with whirling red and gray streams.
“You can either use the token, or fight with us for this.”
Almond and Lily glanced at each other.
‘What do we do, darling?’
