Lian Fang raised her head, looking hesitantly at Shen Yuan, but she gathered her courage looking at his encouraging expression. Taking a deep breath, she said, “I-I want Young Master’s help to solve my family problem.”
Shen Yuan nearly facepalmed, ‘Ugh, why do these family problems never seem to end?’
He exhaled a long sigh, “Haa… so did your family marry you off to some prince?”
Lian Fang’s eyes widened in shock. “W-How did you figure that out??” Her eyes soon flashed with realization, “Ah, I see, you must have already investigated my background, otherwise, you wouldn’t have trusted me so much.”
Shen Yuan speechlessly looked at her, but he couldn’t bear to tell her the truth after feeling the admiring gazes from all around him. “Cough, yes. So I heard you were… supposed to be married off to a prince, but what was the true story? I want to hear it directly from you.”
Lian Fang took a deep breath. “As you already know, Young Master, my true name is not Lian Fang, but Zhao Hongyu. I used a fake name to get rid of the pursuit of my family.”
‘The heck, since when did I know this?’ His lips trembled as he continued to act like he knew it all. ‘I swear I will do a thorough investigation on all of my important subordinates in the future.’
“My family is a noble family just beneath the Royal Family of the Crimson Sun Imperial Empire. You might not have heard—”
“I have heard about it, I also went there with Qingyu before.” He interrupted and gestured toward Han Qingyu, who nodded her head.
Zhao Hongyu’s eyes sparkled with surprise. She nodded her head. “That’s great, it will be easier to explain then. I was engaged to the crown prince of that Empire. My clan members wanted me to become his concubine and solidify the position of the Zhao Clan during the ascension of the Crown Prince.”
“Wait, Zhao Clan?” Shen Yuan made her pause and turned to look at Zhao Lian, who hurriedly put her teacup down and shook her head. “I’m not from the Noble Zhao Clan. My mom and dad are normal merchants.”
“Hmm, makes sense, Zhao is quite a common surname.” He nodded and looked at Hongyu to continue.
“And that’s why I ran away from my clan. My mother and father were powerless to help me in the face of the clan elders and ancestors. But he helped me to run away. I-I don’t know what happened to them. I just wanted to become strong enough to go back home and check how they were doing.” Saying this, her eyes began to fill with tears.
Shen Yuan softly said, “No need to worry, I know the Crown Prince of Crimson Sun Imperial Empire. I will send a letter to him and send one of the Solar Reaper Legion members to look into your family’s condition. This is of no consequence to me.”
She sobbed quietly and lowered her head. “T-thank you, Young Master.”
Yuxin softly smiled, “What kind of reward is this for all the hard work the little girl has put in for you? You should give her something fitting for her bravery and loyalty.”
Shen Yuan chuckled and nodded. “True, Hongyu, ask for something else. I will finish your clan matters shortly.”
Hongyu shook her head with a genuine smile. “That’s all I want, Young Master. If anything more, I want to stay by your side as your subordinate and continue helping you.”
Shen Yuan laughed, “Haha, you need to be stronger than you currently are if you want to help me in the future. Here, take these with you, it should help you become stronger.”
He put his hand inside his inventory and took out a few King Grade items, a cultivation manual, three martial techniques, a few pill bottles—one of them was to reset her cultivation, among other treasures. He put them in a storage ring and threw it at her.
“This should help you lay down a solid foundation. And remember, no matter what happens, do not rush your cultivation. Time is the single most precious thing for us.” He lightly reminded the dumbstruck girl, who was still staring at the contents inside the ring.
It was not that she had not seen King Grade techniques before, but the one Shen Yuan gave her perfectly suited her. It was almost tailor-made for her.
She soon came out of her stupor and gratefully nodded her head towards him and sat down, thinking about the choices she had made which led her here.
The rest of the girls didn’t disturb her and looked at each other smilingly. Ling Yue sat there, swaying her tail left and right while looking at how Shen Yuan treated his subordinates with bright eyes.
She knew they would have a bright future under her. The entire Solar Reaper Legion.
Huo Rong giggled and said, “Hehe, look what mess you made out of the little girl.”
Shen Yuan gave her a side-eye. “You aren’t much older than her.”
“I have way more experience.” She proudly said.
“Yes, experience in ruining things.” Bing Rong softly said while sipping her tea.
Both of them were sitting on opposite sides of each other, with Wan Ling and Zhao Lian on both sides of Bing Rong and Chen Yue and Ling Mei on both sides of Huo Rong.
Yuxin and Qingyu sat on both sides of Shen Yuan while Ling Mei and Hongyu sat in front of Shen Yuan.
While drinking the tea Shen Yuan had made, everyone soon began laughing and chatting as Huo Rong and Bing Rong bickered. Yuxin teased Shen Yuan while others chatted with each other. Soon, Ling Mei and Hongyu also opened up and started talking with each other.
After a while, Huo Rong stopped and asked Shen Yuan, “Have you decided on the competition? Will you win this one?”
Shen Yuan slowly nodded his head. “Yes. Now that I’m at the Peak of Extreme Origin Core Realm, I have a bit of confidence in winning the competition.”
Ling Yue’s eyes widened in surprise. “You can fight an entire major realm above your level, Young Master?”
Wan Ling softly laughed. “He can fight one major realm above him against those peak disciples who can also fight way above their levels. So his true fighting power is already in Mortal Tribulation Realm.”
Ling Yue’s eyes widened in shock. “???” She couldn’t form words to express her shock.
Shen Yuan just silently smiled, looking at the screen playing out in front of him. “Anyways, we will talk about that later. For now, just enjoy this time and drink your tea.”
Ling Yue and Hongyu still couldn’t calm down, but the others were much less surprised as they had gotten used to this by now.

“Umm~ That was a wonderful evening.” Shen Yuan said, stretching his arms.
[Haha, it was funny when Yuxin dragged away Huo Rong and Bing Rong, who clearly wanted to stay and spend some time with you.]
He smiled, “Well, she wants me to focus on this competition, so I guess that is what I will do.”
[Hmm, you also didn’t try to keep them here. Do you have something on your mind?]
He slowly nodded his head. “Do you remember that mixed tribulation lightning?”
