Chapter 813: Spreading Rumors
[An Hour After Leaving For The Supreme Immortal Sect]
“Are you sure?” Elder Lance asked, his hands shaking as he held the communication tablet firmly in place.
“Yes, Supreme Protector. Twenty powerful beings with red skin arrived just a few minutes ago. Judging by their aura, even though I don’t want to look down on you, I have to say they are far stronger than you.”
A sigh escaped Elder Lance’s mouth as he turned and looked at Kent sitting meters away, watching the passing mountains and forests.
“Just who is this kid? He only said he would be gone for a while, but five minutes later, he returned, and now, twenty people, several times more powerful than I, have arrived in my world.
Where did they come from, and who are they?”
“Who are you talking to, Supreme Protector?” the voice on the other end of the communication token asked, prompting Elder Lance to realize he was talking out loud.
“Don’t be concerned about that, Malu. Just alert me whenever something is happening.”
“I will, Supreme Protector.”
Elder Lance put away the token and sat down on the edge of the flying ship. He needed a moment to adjust and make sense of what had just happened.
One minute, he was worried about his people; the next second, he received a message that they were now being protected by people more powerful than him, and the one responsible was the handsome human sitting, observing nature like an excited child getting a chance to go out and play.
“What kind of monster am I sending to the sect this time?” He finally acknowledged that Kent is a monster, and his initial profile of him was entirely incorrect.
“Since he has come through on his side, then I’d better handle my part well.”
He took out a different communication token and activated it. “Klint, you can start now.”
Kent smiled where he stood. ‘Looks like he has finally come to terms with who I am. Now, I expect 3 billion plus supplying me with soul essence soon.’

[Supreme Immortal Sect – Outer Section]
Life was usual in the sect.
Disciples were going about their day as usual. Of course, today they were much more active, knowing their sisters and brothers would be joining them in a few hours.
Well, those fortunate enough to receive a slot to take part in the sect entrance exams would be arriving, so they were pumped and ready to welcome them.
Although not all were eager to welcome them with open arms, some wanted to use the power they had built in the outer section to take the new arrivals as subordinates and use them to their advantage.
They want to use them to farm Supreme Points, the currency in the sect.
Some wanted to use them to finally handle the requirements needed to enter the inner sect exams and become inner disciples.
In contrast, those who had given up on the dream of ever becoming inner disciples just wanted to suppress the newcomers with the power they’d developed over the years.
In all, all kinds of people were waiting for Kent and his friends to arrive.
However, with whole anticipation starting to build, a subtle rumor began spreading—one that shook everyone.
“Word spreading around is that this year’s batch, coming from Sonox—24 of them—reached the 4th floor of Flame Tower, and every last one of them managed to comprehend multiple Mythic-grade techniques.
However, that isn’t all; apparently, 12 among them reached the 5th floor, and each had comprehended a divine technique. However, there is more: the shocking part is that one of them, a human, comprehended 12 divine-grade techniques.
I mean, this has to be a lie, right?” one disciple said, sitting with a few friends at a restaurant where dozens of disciples were seated, chatting among themselves.
“I think it is a lie.”
“Me too.”
“How can a trash world like Sonox produce such outstanding disciples? They must be spreading false rumors to make themselves look good.”
“I think so, too.”
Suddenly, one disciple burst into the restaurant holding a recording crystal.
“Guys, something big is coming.”
“Jeez, Steve, you startled me… What do you have to say after making me spread a baseless rumor?” The disciple who told everyone about the rumor stood up, pointing at Steve.
“It wasn’t baseless. See, I have video proof.” Steve moved forward and activated the recording he had miraculously copied from someone who had also miraculously copied it from someone else.
The video showed the display board of the Flame Tower.
When everyone saw the video, all doubts were cleared from their minds.
“Holy smokes, so it wasn’t a false rumor. Someone had indeed learned 12 divine-grade flame techniques and even mastered all forms. What a monster.”
Everyone was blown away, some still staring at the paused scoreboard with shocked eyes.
“That’s it. I will prostrate myself and swear my fealty to this Kent Madson, forever becoming his subordinate… scratch that, his slave if that is what it will take to get close to him.”
“Count me in on that, Frody.”
“I think I will be joining you guys. I must get close to this Kent Madson. He has the makings of someone who can become one of the big five.”
“I’m going to dress to impress. His name sounds like a handsome person. I’d better wear clothes that will bring out my shape so he can notice me.”
“I need to wax.”
“Me too.”
Soon, words and videos spread everywhere, even reaching the inner area. There, too, when the disciples saw it, they were blown away.
They couldn’t place a finger on it. It was just too much for them to comprehend, especially when Kent’s achievement was put into perspective.
Everyone was soon shocked, and some started making their way to the outer section of the sect to meet Kent Madson when he arrived.

[Supreme Immortal Sect – Inner Section – Grand Hall]
Supreme Elder Espen held a recording crystal in his hand, showing a projection of the scoreboard of the Flame Tower.
Seated on both sides of him were ten elders. They each held the same recording, shock written all over their faces. What they were looking at was just unreal…
“How am I only now seeing this?” Supreme Elder Espen asked.
Elder Calix, a high elf, swallowed nervously.
“Supreme Elder, I asked Supreme Elder Jian two days ago about the standing of the current disciples coming from Sonox this year, and he said they were trash as usual. He said nothing about what we are seeing now.”
Elder Calix replied, ready for a deadly response. However, Supreme Elder Espen continued to look at the recording.
“Who went for them?” he asked next, but none of the elders knew, for they didn’t place much emphasis on the disciples from Sonox, as all they had heard and seen showed they were indeed trash.
The two good ones they’ve raised, one is arrogant, and the other is too prideful for her own good.
“Unbelievable.”
Supreme Elder Espen stood up, bringing a heaviness, one that Elder Lance would have recognized, for he felt the same from Uncle Drake. Elder Espen is also a Dragon, one of the powerful ones in the sect.
“Elder Calix, Evander, and Lain, make sure the disciples from Sonox get here in one piece. Elder Mikko, summon Supreme Elder Jian here immediately.
He must explain why he never bothered to disclose this important information to me.”
